Much the same as you, I just can't seem to get enough of these books! There's three different series that follow a similar format (although I've been the most entertained and educated by the zondervan ones) The other two that I know about are: Spectrum Multiview Series, and the Perspectives series. Though the Zondervan ones (imho, and I'm just a layperson, not an academic or in ministry at all) far outshine the others. I really like how they seem to make it all so readable, though I realize that's less of a job of Zondervans and more the editors and contributors.

The counterpoints series is wonderful. Very helpful for refreshing topics that are not often treated outside a seminary or seminar setting. Another similar series is the spectrum multi view from IVP. The format differs slightly from counterpoints but provides the benefit of having more authors on similar subjects within both series.

Hi Phil, I appreciate your comments a lot because I love these kinds of books. I recently received a volume from the IVP series you mentioned on the Historical Jesus. It looks fantastic. I believe Zondervan is coming out with a volume on Heaven soon as well. Take care.

Unfortunately in my opinion this series often just present one biblical view and few philosophical views that comprise the biblical teaching.
