Gal is genuinely listening. And cares what he has to say. Usually actors have a response before the questions. But they're genuinely having a conversation.
Kumail Nanjiani is so articulate and incisive in his thinking, without being obnoxious or preachy. And Gal Gadot is so open and sincere with her feelings. An outstanding combination, with each one bringing out nothing but the best in each other. Brilliant!
He felt a bit obnoxious, correcting her speech, and stating being a doctor was a matter of choosing if you want to face death or not. It really deeply isn't. Plus, putting acting in the level of careers that take so much more sacrifice and tears is ridicolous. He also speaks a lot and doesn't seem to be listening. Even when he speaks of her, it's him talking.
It's fascinating for me to watch two immigrants holding a conversation, and speaking with better grammar and vocabulary usage than at least half of the citizens born in the U.S..
Wow you really think they speak BETTER than half of the citizens born in the U.S?!!? I would say they speak just as fluent, but not necessarily better.
Dineth Jayasekera no he isn't he is a Muslim as he also told in his interview with Chelsea on Netflix and if your talking about him saying about making his own belief in the movie that just meant that he isn't a strict practicing Muslim as he also told in that interview

The movie was based on his personal life. So I think if it's partially autobiographical, then of course it would make sense to cast a 'brown muslim' actor. The actors identity was important to the story.

Scrolling through the comments it seems like a lot of people think this is the first time Gal has ever met a Muslim lol. You guys do know that although there are extremists from both sides, reality in Israel is that Jews and Muslims are living together in coexistence.. especially in blended cities as Haifa, Akko, Jaffa and even Jerusalem, believe it or not.
@@CS-ww3bs Okay very random but I just happen to fall on this comment today. I was earlier today in a gas station and a guy called Amir (he was muslim) that was standing in front of me was struggling with the machine so me and my sister helped him and he insisted on paying on our coffee and we just sat there for like 30 minutes and spoke about random shit. Things were tense lately so that was a really wonderful experience so I wanted to share. (But also for the record my doctor since I was 12 is muslim, I dont know him well but I have had a lot of not very pleasent conversations with him lol)
The way kumail understand the characteristic of ww movie and the character itself and his perspective to summarize the movie is insightful and intuitive.
King Wahab the world is like this very often. The expansionism of the Israeli state and Palestinian resistance to that has nothing to do with everyday Jews or Muslims

I'm a man whose parents came from Islamabad, Pakistan & currently living in London. I have visited Israel & absolutely love it. Watching this video made me happy & shed tears as two human beings of two different Abrahamic faiths are together in one room discussing about each other in an amicable manner. Guys you have no idea how much this means to me & other law abiding humans of the Muslim faith living in western nations. I have no problem with Israel as a nation. I have been to the nation & I lived in the centre of Tel Aviv & I have to admit that it was the most pleasant most peaceful & respectable trip ever !!! I told the people that the Jewish faith has always interested me as well as the culture & the language & I am here only because of Gal Gadot& a lot of people appreciated me for that. Hopefully, this is a launchpad for both Israel & Pakistan to develop some sort of amicable, diplomatic relations because at the end of the day we are all human as we bleed red. Always still people to travel because travel is fatal to the prejudice & to the negativity as well as the hate. Travel, learn languages & cultures as well as meet different people as it a positive experience in your life & I have to admit that I would definitely, 100% hand on my heart, I will go to Israel & enjoy the nation because I loved the people & the weather. God Bless Gal Gadot & Kumail Nanjiani !!! 😍😘🇮🇱🏆💙💯 PS: I hope to meet them both in the future sometime, somewhere because they are my inspiration 💯
Actors on Actors and The Hollywood Reporter Roundtables are far and beyond the best actor "interviews" on RUclips. Actors interviewing and having free discussion with other actors really brings out a passion for the craft that you just don't see on late night.
Only if in Roundtable, the host does not cut people in between to move to another person. If they're alone, that's great. Or if he's interviewing executive producers, because he didn't dare cut anyone in there.😂
My instinct is to want to assume Gal is gonna be stuck up or entitled or something for being so traditionally beautiful. But goddamn, she's just so flipping charming and genuine. And I know she's not acting too much to get there either.
Actually, according to our former president, what makes America great is kicking out foreigners, building a wall, antagonizing our allies, and spreading lies.
Oh wow, I had the exact same feeling she described when she first saw the Amazons fighting. I was holding back tears because it was so fantastic to see women being strong and brave and noble. Obviously there are other movies where women are strong in a subtler way, but I didn't know how much I wanted to see what the Amazons represented until I watched Wonder Woman.
Both *GAL* and *KUMAIL* looking great a very good conversation, the way they exchange the topics on each other and have a same type of mind, didnt care about the religion and i personally enjoy every part of their conversation both speak the truth about their lives and share their opinions ...... I saw both movies #theBIGSICK and #WOnderWomen both are amazing movies i have ever seen before wish that u will always be successful in every part of ur life .. Hollywood really lucky to have an actors like u #ISRAEL and #PAKISATAN both are amazing nations love #GAL&&KUMAIL!!! Hope that we will get another chance to saw ur more shows together :-) #PEACE
Amazing all the hate that came her way when she was cast.. everybody complaining she didn't have the body or the acting experience.. and now, she's very much the conduit of charm in an otherwise pretty dour franchise.
You know what, that was my first thought exactly. But I'll admit I was won over by her charm, and thought her bubbly, effervescent charisma fit the optimism of Wonder Woman really well.
There is like zero tension and awkwardness between the two! You can tell by how relaxed and composed they are, when they talk to each other! I have seen hundreds of these actor to actor interviews and in most of them, they are being unnecessary rude to each other, being sarcastic asses or just sincerely don't like each other so much, that its too hard for them to even hide! Lol It is especially noticeable when its a woman on woman interview, its full of envy and other stuff...In this particular case you can see there is non of that (Or even if there is, they are exceptionally good at hiding it! Lol) they respect each other, let each other express themselves and finish sentence, there is no rude interruptions and unnecessary out of place sarcasm and other awkward stuff! This is the kind of actor to actor interviews that are easy to watch, because actors are 100% authentic to each other from start to finish!...Good stuff! Enjoyed it!
Portman and Williams, Bobby Brown and Rachel Wood (Its mostly because of Rachel Wood, Bobby acted quite authentic and natural...), Pfeiffer and Parker, Keaton and Jackson - check these four! Keaton in that interview felt like he wanted to punch Jackosn in the face everytime he opened his mouth and tried to talk! Lol Portman couldn't resist being fake all throughout on Williams, Pfeiffer and Parker acted like they are obligated to do these interviews at a gunpoint, rather than something they enjoy!...McConaughey and Bridges competed too much trying to determine who is more cocky and has more swagger, rather than concentrating on you know...being simple and authentic, instead of typical hollywood posers, that they are! I can go on and on! The only dialogues I legitimately liked are between Winslet and Ronan as well as Hanks and Davis! And this one....and thats about it! Others are either posing too much, faking too much or just being too anxious and socially awkward...
The guy thinks he's inadequate? I mean, come on, bro! you are seriously an inspiration to a lot of people in Pakistan. Don't put yourself down like that. I love how gal told him the same thing I'm thinking.
I wish people of the israeli government were like you. The only reason why pakistan hate Israel is because they kill innocent palestenians. People like You must raise your voice against them so that they stop the violence against our innocent palestinian brothers and sisters.
I adore Kumail & the more I see Gal, the more I love her. She's equally as beautiful on the inside as out and she seems so unpretentious and genuine. @@IYeleven fuck israel they punish Palestinians
Kxryu
Exactly but look at these comments, they keep bringing up politics 😐
@@IYeleven we will fight to free Palestinian people....
War never ends until Palestinian freedom....
It is our duty to serve our brothers...
I recommend watch Wonder Woman and the Big Sick before watching this interview and you’ll appreciate it a lot more 🤨
anonymous7851 thanks captain obvious
thanks but i already watched both of them and the both movies really gone me crazy both of them are superb and amazing 10/10 xD
😍😘🇮🇱🏆💙💯
PS: I hope to meet them both in the future sometime, somewhere because they are my inspiration 💯
A Muslim Pakistani & a Jewish Israeli... Immigrants Making America Great! 👍
America is great independently puff;;;
Make america great again😂
@@thorodinson2718 now its great again man
@@kratosplays449 I hope so. I'm not an American but I hope the best for you Americans ❤️
Loved this conversation. Both are intelligent and humble people and are coming from a background so contrasting yet so relatable.
Hollywood really lucky to have an actors like u
#ISRAEL and #PAKISATAN both are amazing nations love #GAL&&KUMAIL!!!
Hope that we will get another chance to saw ur more shows together :-)
#PEACE
What a beautiful woman inside and out. She's so real and adorable, a breath of fresh air in a weird industry. Very good interview too
Great interview. Respect. Hope both of them will get more good roles.
DCEU is so Lucky to have Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman.
Amazing all the hate that came her way when she was cast.. everybody complaining she didn't have the body or the acting experience.. and now, she's very much the conduit of charm in an otherwise pretty dour franchise.
Zack Snyder deserves credit for picking her.
They could of got an actual actress and not a model
You know what, that was my first thought exactly. But I'll admit I was won over by her charm, and thought her bubbly, effervescent charisma fit the optimism of Wonder Woman really well.
anthony chessman She has the essence of Wonder Woman, that's what matters.
Adorable. Two smart and nice people talking. I hope they both have great careers ahead of them.
Enjoyed it!
Beautiful! Thankyou
Can you give an example of bad chemistry in these nterviews, cause i dont see what you are describing at all
Portman and Williams, Bobby Brown and Rachel Wood (Its mostly because of Rachel Wood, Bobby acted quite authentic and natural...), Pfeiffer and Parker, Keaton and Jackson - check these four!
I love how gal told him the same thing I'm thinking.
ok now. when do we see these two beautiful humans in a movie together? I want it.
Gal’s such a talented actress and stunning like always♥️
גל את מדהימה!
Kumail you have a new fan :))
NivKotz love israel from pakistan, only countries made in name of abrahamic religon
Cool!!! Love you back :))
I wish people of the israeli government were like you. The only reason why pakistan hate Israel is because they kill innocent palestenians. People like You must raise your voice against them so that they stop the violence against our innocent palestinian brothers and sisters.
Zidane's Lover
You’re spamming everywhere, you’ve never even been to isreal so please don’t speak about things you don’t know.
i did an animation for Gal Gaddot : ruclips.net/video/tCu6Ni0GdAQ/видео.html
I adore Kumail & the more I see Gal, the more I love her. She's equally as beautiful on the inside as out and she seems so unpretentious and genuine. Her little struggles with English & our colloqialisms are so funny & endearing ❤ She's such a breath of fresh air in this generation of self obsessed, untalented & disingenuous "celebrities".
She is frighteningly beautiful....
Her smile is just the best thing ever.
Honestly speaking I see humanity here. A Muslim and a Jew just casually talking. Loved it.
I love this interview, I've not really seen this setup where they're both interviewing each other!
These two have great chemistry. I'd love to see them in a movie together.
Man her smile got me feeling some sort of way
Glad she got that role and didnt quit... She's absolutely beautiful and talented, so in love
This was so lovely 😊 I feel Gal is such a wonderful and kind spirit
Love u Kumail
2 years later, he is in a Superhero Movie himself.
i think gal is the most real person in hollywood and in life , i wish i knew her
My respect for these two has increased a lot this past year!!!
Very good conversation!
This is officially the best video on RUclips. Hands down.
Hard to believe anyone could say "no" to Gal!
I got emotional! Absolutely love this pair 🥺♥️
