    Steve has accused Nvidia of a paper launch. And that's exactly what happened, Nvidia did not provide the market with sufficient number of cards and since there's a lot of demand it drove the prices through the roof. Here in Greece you can find 5090s starting at 3500 euros 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣

      The problem is Nvidia are selling these cards off cheap to gamers when they could be selling them for double the price to AI servers.

    Here in Portugal stores only had 5080s, around 10 or 15 units only, and zero 5090s. It's a truly a horrible launch by Nvidia, and the prices... 3k euros for a 5090 at local retailers, absurd

    Although unlikely, imagine a scenario where China suddenly appears and starts making high-end GPU's and we go back to the golden age where a good gpu would go for 350$.
    Right now I am building a PC, not super high-end mind you, but I am looking at around 3.000$ which is UNACCEPTABLE. Maybe more depending on how gpu prices settle. Meanwhile I could just go get a Nintendo Switch for 350$ to fulfill my gaming needs, obviously not the same thing, but yeah..

    This is dopefiend behaviour. It truely is. Seeing the lines in front of microcenter, was like seeing a line of dopefiends lining up for testers.
    Such a shame noone is sending you review samples. RDNA2 and RDNA3 were great for anything but RT. But who cares about that. Bought a 6800XT myself and its been great. No VRAM issues in games, no issues when AAA games release. Meanwhile you see a whole bunch of 40-series users complaining.

    • @HardwareBusters
      @HardwareBusters  7 дней назад

      Indiana Jones game, we had trouble running it because of the low VRAM in NV's cards. That's true. But I am also sure that game developers could tune the game's engine for consuming less VRAM.

    • @The_Noticer.
      @The_Noticer. 7 дней назад

      @@HardwareBusters Well they mostly tune the engines for consoles, which have more than 8GB. Additionally, all the features Nvidia uses for its marketing use VRAM. A lot of it. Frame generation uses up to 500-1000MB, Raytracing can add 2-3 GB as well. So eventhough the GPU's might still be capable, the 4070 will suffer the same fate the 3070 did, by being hamstrung by VRAM well before the chip becomes too slow.
      If you ever review AMD cards though, mention Radeon Chill. AMD's unsung hero.

    They made sure to stop making 4080S and 4090 cards well ahead of time, so those would be sold out by the 50-series launch. Now they're gonna be permanently in the news cycle every time there is a restock and as the 70-class cards eventually launch. I watched on as the 5080's quickly went out of stock (never were any 5090s), even the most expensive models at 1700-1800€ got sold.

    • @HardwareBusters

    I see 5090s selling on EBAY in the US for $6000. I waited at Microcenter, hoping to get one on launch day. Of course, the stock was so pathetically small that it was completely pointless. I like Nvidia products, but it is becoming extremely difficult to support the company when they screw us over gen after gen. Good luck to everyone who wants a gpu this year!!!

  • @asteriskarasimos

    I really don't get why you guys are all against nVidia... First of all, it's no fault of their own they are miles ahead of competition from AMD or Intel or anyone else for that matter, that's on AMD and the rest to cope with. And second of all, why do you whine on nVidia's prices when coronavirus and crypto mining proved beyond doubt that there's more money to be made from selling graphics cards at higher prices. Why on earth should nVidia lose money to scalpers by continuing their pricing policy from the past, when there's clearly demand to be met with higher profit margins. If I owned nVidia, I 'd be more than happy to go even higher in pricing for the products. Thus, instead of whining, STOP buying, it's the only way to make prices drop back down again. As with ANY and EVERY tech product, don't buy anything above your needs or sooner than you really need it; it's guaranteed to be better and more affordable next year. Ending this rant, please understand your power as consumers and don't always go for the latest and greatest as soon as it becomes available, if you have no immediate use for it!

    aris. keep in mind that the chip is HUGE and costs a lot to produce. so the new memory so the tremendous bus width(512). also there is the fact that the chip is AI oriented and NOT game oriented. the cost for this card is MASSIVE, by my estimates about 1000$. NOT inclunding there the very dense pcb and the super hungry vrms. so the cost goes even up more. the asking price of 2000$ msrp MAKES SENSE to me.

      hardware unboxed just released a video yesterday talking about this exact topic. nvidia more than likely has bigger profit margins on these cards than they ever had in the past. of course, these cards are more expensive to produce than they used to be - but the cost to the consumer has been raised by an even higher percentage, simply because they can. with no real competition - especially at the high end - they can charge whatever they want and some people will still pay it. unless someone can provide actual competition (which seems doubtful) it will likely stay this way.

  • @EyefyourGf
    @EyefyourGf 7 дней назад

    Nvidia fanboys deserve this,i'm honestly glad AMD won't compete with their top gpu's so now they can ask for them whatever the morons are willing to pay,and it looks like they are willing no matter the price.
