One side was super intense my balance was way off!!
I like you more than Yoga with Adriene!
What a nice compliment, thank you!
That was great!
Can you please do a video on lats? Mine are super-tight constantly and I really like how specific a lot of your content is on certain muscles, which is how I found your channel in the first place!
Thank you so much, I'm so glad you enjoy practicing together! I'll have a think about lats, but in the meantime I'd recommend my side body stretch, which would have some good stuff in it : ruclips.net/video/nGwrurxx9Sg/видео.html You can also search on my channel for scoliosis, trapezius, or chest stretch, I think all of them would also get at the lats 😉
I just realized that I probably don’t have psoas muscles! This is quite intense for me. My legs were shaking and toes were cramping 😄 Great way to start a rainy week! Thanks Joelle!
Wonderful job Larry! I really think this is one of the toughest practices on my channel - it's certainly tough for me too! 🙌
Wow! I'm actually a little freaked out-I opened RUclips looking for a hip flexor stretch, and the second video in my subscription feed was this one! Meant to be or what??
I guess great minds think alike Jen! Hope you enjoyed 😉
@@YogawithJoelle Yes! It was perfect, just the right amount of strengthening and stretching. Thank you! 😊
Thanks 😊 M'y New challenge, follow tour couses in english😅😊🙏🙏🙏🙏 I love this session, it brings me a lot of benefits... 💖🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏😌
Very happy to hear it, thank you for the message! 😊🙏
former pro soccer athlete over here who has always dealt with insanely tight psoas. this was one of the best things I have ever done for it. big time release. 🙏🏽
Wow, thank you so much for sharing! I am so glad to hear that 🙏
This was a real challenge, but I did it (Except for the leg lifts in half splits haha). Another perfect combo of strengthening and stretching! Thanks Joelle! ☺️
It's a tough one for all of us!! Great job Anais 👏👏👏
I'm a little disappointed because my very stiff hips do not allow me to even attempt the stretches shown in the second half...
Great job Jennifer! This is probably one of the trickiest practices on my channel, and it's indeed a tough one when our hips are feeling verrrrry tight! You might like to try a few of my other practices for tight hips, or I also have a 10-minute psoas class that's probably more accessible for many of us: ruclips.net/video/3ldvYlJD0D8/видео.html
Wow! This one was a challenge, but I was able to do more than I thought could. And what a great release in my lower back and always-tight hips. Thanks, Joelle. 🙏 I will be coming back to this one! 😊
Yay, great job taking on a new challenge Heather! 🙌
Thank you! I look forward to the new practices each Monday! This one got my legs shaking!
I'm so happy to hear it! Well done and I'll see you next week then 😉
Omigod 😭 yup just what I needed
Perfect timing for us here, right before ifthar. And perfect exercise too, I feel like discovering muscles I’d never knew I have 😂. Thank you Joelle 💕
Oooh, that's exactly what I was hoping someone would say! Great job Dian :)
Thanks 🙏👍🙏 ขอบคุณครับ
You're welcome!
This was wonderful! Thank you so much 🧘🏻♀️❤️
Glad you enjoyed it!
Love this one! I will definitely be coming back to it regularly!
Yay ! Happy to hear you enjoyed it Jeanne ✨
Is it possible to just have right sided psoas problems
It's certainly possible, bodies aren't perfectly symmetrical
Thank you very much 🙏
You're very welcome 🙏
So intense but just what I need, my knees were hurting though so I'm going to do your knee video this evening. Another great video Joelle, thank you so much for all of your very healing videos x
I'm so glad you like them, thanks for the message Samantha! Some people enjoy putting a thin blanket over their yoga mat (or even folding over their mat for certain poses) to help with sensitive knees, but great to know you've also tracked down the knee pain practice, too!
I loved this flow! Challenging and relaxing, perfect combo. Thank you 💗
So happy you liked it Lily, thanks for your message! 😃
@@YogawithJoelle l liked it so much that l am going to do it again today 🧘♀️
TY SO much !!!. Glad I found this .. My hips and lower back are so jacked up with old injuries. OMG the 1/2 lunge with chin toward chest - Got it all of - IT band included. I felt some psoas release . If I do this video over time will definitely feel more. Also did not interfere with minor slipped discs in lower back . However, that situation makes many poses limiting . So once again, glad I found this . Signed up for 3 day back pain videos .xoxox
Thank you so much for sharing, Heather! So glad to have you here! See you soon!
Strong practice, love it. My psoas better get its act together because I'll be doing this class often, thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you very much 🙏
I'm thrilled you enjoyed it Kesia! I'll meet you for this one again soon 😉
Great stretches. I have discovered that I struggle to relax my butt cheeks when doing sphinx!! I'll definately be doing this one again. Thank you.
That's such a good observation, you're definitely not alone! I'll have to remember to use that as a queue more regularly 😉
Excellent!! Really targets iliopsoas and gluteus medias. This should significantly help hip pain.
So glad you liked it Ann!
I have so much hip and IT tightness. Your videos are changing my mood and mobility. Thank you.
I am glad this was helpful! Wishing you a speedy recovery 🙏
I'll have to keep practicing this as my right psoas is so tight that I couldn't perform some of the stretches!! Thank you, Joelle!
Sorry to hear that, I hope this helps! 🙏🙏
Another excellent video Joelle! You always bring something a little different that I haven't seen in other youtube yoga vids.
Thank you so much Taylor, this means so much to me! So happy you enjoyed this one :)
Wonderful challenge and release practice. Thank you, Joelle❣
Fantastic! Thanks Esti :)
My right hip is garbage from being a medic and firefighter and this has helped a lot. Thank you.
Great job David, glad it's helping.
Sincerely doing this video it was tough for me (although I'm doing yoga almost three years), but I have a little bit of lower back and from time to time sciatica, but two months ago I had discovered that doing yoga/pilates for tight hips it is better.
But, this video, especially the first lunge, oh, my quadriceps and hip, oh boy so much pain and tight, but after doing this video I feel lighter and better.
Thank you Joelle 🙂
Great job! This is a really tricky practice, so good on you for getting through it. I have another practice for the psoas that may be a little bit easier here, if you'd like to try it: ruclips.net/video/3ldvYlJD0D8/видео.html
@@YogawithJoelle Thank you very much Joelle, definitely will try tonight 🙂
Really enjoyed this one more than I thought..some very intense stretching here.....but managed it to perfection expect flouting the feet...that's was difficult...also first session with props 🙏🙏🙏 big thank you for this one 👍
Glad you enjoyed it Derek! See you soon in the next one 🙏
@@YogawithJoelle as always 😏
OMG this was va tough class but feeling good after it, thanks Joelle
This is definitely a super-tough one for sure! Great job!! 🙌
Great exercises. Complete release from my constant hip pain when I do these everyday.
So glad to hear they are helping, well done
Thanks Joelle! That was very intense but my hips feel more open. Namaste 🙏
I'm so glad Julie, it's intense indeed! Well done 🙏
I will be doing this everyday, feels amazing!
So glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for joining! 😊
Thank you Joelle. Just what my body needed today. You are an amazing teacher.
Thank you so much Robin, glad you enjoy practicing together :)
wowzers. This video is amazing! Thank you!
Glad you liked it!
This practice is quite challenging. I will try to use it more often.
It definitely is, great job Libby! It'll get easier after a few more times :)
too intense for me. 63 yr out of shape with not enough leg muscle. shows me what I need to work. thx
Please don't get discouraged Cynthia, this one is TOUGH! Probably one of the most intense classes on my channel! Great job giving it a try and if you're still looking to work on your psoas this 10 min class might be fun to try : ruclips.net/video/3ldvYlJD0D8/видео.html
Definitely felt this one! Need to find my second block to make it a bit easier. Couldn't do all the harder options, but happy I got through it.
This is a tough one Katrina, the blocks definitely help! Wonderful job, give it another go in a few days and I bet you'll surprise yourself 😉
@@YogawithJoelle Tried it again with 2 blocks! Much better. Managed everything but raising my arms above my head while lifting the back knee off the floor, had to keep my hands on the blocks. Raising/hovering the leg out in front was okay on the right, but much harder on the left and then my left hip ended up cramping.
Thank you so much❤
I paired this video with a shoulder/trap release and I feel marvelous
I'm so glad Sharon, that's a great pairing!
Wow! I really do feel a difference!
Thank you my dear💖
That's lovely to hear Kelly!! 👏
Thanks, Joelle. I have low back pain which I believe is from tight hip flexors. I was unable to lift my pointed leg whilst in the lunge position. Does this mean I need to strengthen a certain muscle? I appreciate your guidance. 😊
That's a really tricky one! For most of us it's a combination of strength and openness that's needed. So it could be some weakness in the glutes (since that's the main muscle group doing the lifting), or tightness in the hip flexors. Generally lazy glutes and tight hip flexors have a LOT to do with one another! If you're looking for a quickie to add on from time to time, this 5 min glute practice would be a great one to work on: ruclips.net/video/OrI-hkpztjM/видео.html
@@YogawithJoelle thank you so much. This makes sense as I’ve got to really work on strengthening my glutes. I will try this. 🧡
I loved this one for my sore hips!
Glad you found this helpful, Michele! Thank you so much and I hope you're doing well! 🙏 🙏
Wonderful practice!👌🙏❤
Glad you enjoyed it Barbara! 🙏
just what I needed for today...thank you and namaste
Glad it came at the right time Linda 😉
Good content!
I am very lucky to have recently discovered your video today. I have never understood why I have a lot of hip pain while sleeping, as well as everyday stiffness. I have long suspected that I have really weak PSOAS, but have never understood the exercises that I had come across. It was really frustrating because they usually ended up hurting my back, so it kept me from doing them. I actually have done your video (Yoga for PSOAS) twice today (morning and before bed). The best part was that it did NOT hurt my lower back at all!
I have been doing your other videos for sciatica and Pimiformis this week, too, and I have had less hip pain and stiffness. However, I couldn't help but notice how shaky my balance was doing the exercises in this video on one knee other stretched out (in PSOAS video and during the other videos. Can you recommend specific videos of yours to help to improve my balance? Thank you SO much!
Great job Amy, that's fantastic!! And yes, I've got a video specifically to work on balance right here: ruclips.net/video/rh4rSBJajmk/видео.html See you there!
Thank so much Joelle for the balance video! I plan to do it daily (2 days so far!).
@@amybotticello9780 Fantastic! Look forward to doing it regularly together :)
That was a great challenge to start my day with! Thank you!
I'm so happy Julie, great job !
As usual Joelle, you have the best routines for functional and therapeutic poses. This was a great blend of stretching and strengthening, and really targeted the psoas in obvious ways. Well done. Thank you!!
Appreciate your kind words! Thanks a lot! 😊
Thanks!
Super
Great video, thank you!
Glad you liked it! 😊
I found out lately that I have PSOAS and this practice is so good.
Thank you for your help and being with me today.
Kisses from New Jersey 💋💐
Namaste🙏🧘
Dosia
Hi Dosia, thank you for sharing your story and for joining me today! 🙏
Very good for me,thanks.
So glad to hear that :)
Wow - I’ve been doing all your yoga classes (which I LOVE!) for two months now and this was definitely the most intense and challenging! I came to it for low back pain and knowing I have very tight hips but my legs were shaking and I really struggled! I guess my psoas is tighter than I thought! Thank you for this and all your classes - I’m so glad I found you!
It's so great to have you with us, and this one is DEFINITELY one of the tougher ones on my channel so great job!! I think about 90% of us are dealing with a tight psoas, so you're doing great by showing up and showing it some love 😉
oh my god, that was amazing!! I've being doing your yoga for hip pain and bursitis for 2 months now and it has made such a difference to my hip pain, I will be adding this into my regular practice now, so good, thank you so much!!
You're so welcome! Great job 😃
really loves this one, thank you 😊 💛
Oh I'm so glad Mari 😊🙌✨
Thank you so much. I'm on day 7 of yoga for psoas trying to ease the pain caused by a 15 mile coastal hike and this one was awesome. I love how with time yoga can fix anything. Have a wonderful day.
Thank you for sharing Charlotte, glad to hear how much you enjoy yoga! 🙏
She sounds to hypnotic to me!
Does that mean you're getting sleeeepy? 😉
Oooooooo this was a really great find! I didn’t know there were psoas yoga practices until I started searching (….today). Thank you!
Glad you found it helpful :)
Love this! Thank you.
So happy you liked it Sarah!
i usually struggle with yoga for psoas pain cause it feels like it does nothing. this eased it thanks. i struggled a ton as a person with 0 balance but i’ll definitely come back to this video. thanks joelle
Sorry to hear that, I hope this helps 🙏 🙏
As you recommended, I just did this psoas routine. There were a couple of poses that were quite challenging. Will come back to this soon. Thanks Joëlle 🙏🏼
This is a really tough one, but indeed a good one to come back to - nicely done! 🙌
👌👍
Thank you so much for this, I couldn’t even breath for the pain in my lower back, and now it feels great 😍
Wow, I am so glad to hear that!
Just came across your channel and did this for psoas muscles . Felt so good! I plan to do this again and start acupuncture as well.
Thank you for this ! ❤
Wonderful! So glad you enjoyed it 😊
Was looking for something to release my psoas today and this was first on the list, so I said - no need to search! This is it! So good :) Thank you!
Amazing, so glad you enjoyed it!
This was really great!
