All Bad weapons does not work on PvE either EXCEPT for skyburn oat, which i personally like very much to use it against barrier enemies on GM, trinity ghoul which can be useful for cleaning ads, also Eriana’s Vow which is excellent on GM, and Ticus which is mandatory on GM
Skyburner is the BEST gun in the game. You know why? Because whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.
I think that the most overlooked thing about Duality is that it's a full reload instead of one shell at a time. Doesn't seem like a big deal, but It's turned out to be relevant more then once.
I don't know what to say here, he has the formula of comedy, patience and straight facts wrapped up into a package of explanation that so easy to understand. Rapidly becoming one of my favorite content creators.
Fighting lion requires a lot more time put in practicing its particular loop (fire, midair detonate, swap, cleanup). It does provide an unparalleled amount of pressure that, if you maintain an awareness of when using it, can allow you to force unfavourable engagements for your enemies. Every fight the enemy has 50% of their health shaved off if they are to static in their positioning or predictable in their approach and let you poke them from behind cover. Based on your parameters the rank is fair, but to me it feels like a gun that has low skill floor and a high skill ceiling overall.
Great way of putting it. Fighting lion has been my favorite exotic pvp weapon for the past year and half. While the changes to fighting lion has hurt the gun (with the gl nerf being the worst of it) it still absolutely slays I'd used right
exactly this. he also says its only good paired in combo with another weapon but it can hold its own fine if youre good enough with positioning. not putting in time and effort to get good with the weapon is what's stopping everyone from putting it at s tier.
I recommend using Graviton Lance like a sniper. It has immense range and I’ve noticed people are not expecting the damage to stack so fast, so by the time they slide back into cover they’re already turning into a scatter grenade that homes onto all close teammates. A real squad wiper. Get the catalyst and you’ve got kills piling up 10 seconds after you’ve left the area.
An actually insane video. I watched your other video about this, too, and I can only say that you should be immensely proud of the result, even if the 'making of' left a lot to be desired. Bravo, Nomad! :-)
C'mon Nomad, you know the first rule of Six Stacks of Rat King Club: WE DON'T TALK ABOUT SIX STACKS OF RAT KING CLUB. (and we definitely don't only let Alpha Lupi bubble titans in the club either) Also, the only reason my K/D is as high as it is was from abusing Monte Carlo with Claws stasis warlock on the release of Beyond Light. Absolutely bonkers broken. This was a great video!
Honestly, as a controller player on an old gen console, I’d say that graviton lance and bad juju are actually worth giving a try, but you have to play to graviton lance’s strengths, it’s not a pulse rifle, it is a scout rifle and I’d recommend giving a loadout of heritage and graviton lance with well of radiance a try. I ended up making use of it and going flawless this last weekend with it so tbh, weird, but not bad.
I agree. On controller graviton Lance is a very good gun. It just sucks all these PC players bash on it because *it's not the meta* I honestly couldn't give 2 f*cos about the meta. Long as I'm having fun in crucible that's all that matters
Honestly, I really like the Outbreak Perfected, it has definitely carried me a lot in both PVE and PVP, especially when two players(who also helped get the weapon) helped me get the catalyst, however..one thing I wish it had was a full auto trigger system, I don’t mind constantly pressing down my trigger to shoot but it tends to bother and tire my finger from time to time. Either way, with the way it is now, it’s still my favorite and personally most used exotic weapon-although I am still wondering what a full auto rifle version of it would look like
Hey, thats gonna be a thing soon right, being able to force full auto on all guns in the accessibility options? Might be time to revisit that weapon if you dropped it in the last few months.
@@fusrosandvich3738 well there is a mod that does that for hand cannons and scout rifles, kinda sad but understandable that the outbreak doesn’t have an option for mods(no exotic gun does). I don’t know might have to check my settings if there is something like that tho
Merciless is a bit of a tragic case. It's my most used weapon in the crucible, I have maybe 32 thousand kills last count, and it used to be great. The highest base stats of any high impact fusion in the game, an exotic perk that, while niche did have some use for shutting down supers or for the rare occasion it didn't get the one burst. What sets Merciless apart for me though, and why I still find myself using it even after it's archetype got dumpstered, is it's secondary trait impetus. A 50% damage bonus paired with unnerfed feeding frenzy for getting a kill, paired with perhaps the single longest grace period between getting the kill and reloading for the perk. Get a single kill and it more than justifies it's long charge time with damage output that will surprise snipers, let alone anyone in mid range. If high impacts recieve the slightest buff to their per bolt damage, Merciless will be back on the table. There is nothing wrong with the exotic, it's the archetype that needs work. I've been using it in your discord scrims sessions for months now, it's still fun, even if it's a bit inconsistent.

Sweet business is by far my favorite weapon in the entire game. And when it's paired with mods that make it reload faster and fire faster or make not have to reload at all, it's amazing. I don't like the approach of only considering whether an exotic is good or bad in a crucible setting there are plenty of Exotics that one of them might be good in The Crucible against one or two opponents they are horrible in pve. Sweet business is one of the best weapons to use in PVE when you're fighting tons of enemies or enemies with lots of health because it's insane amount of bullets make short work of these enemies.
I found that it's great for gambit. I can run a rocket launcher heavy w/cluster bombs, sweet business, and a scout rifle/handcannon/shotgun energy weapon, and i'm set for most primordial damage in game, always at least 50%. Tachanka strats work every now and then, but when they do, they shred.
Another thing about divinity is it overloads guardians, meaning that while your shooting them (and 2 seconds after you stop) their ability regeneration is decreased. With the current state of abilities you can really give your team an advantage.
Honestly Im surprised you ranked Cerberus as high as you did. I LOVE cerberus to death, its still the gun I have the most pvp kills on of all time by a good margin. But I keenly feel every bad aspect about it. Namely the slightly RNG nature once you're 22+ meters out but melting shotgun apes trying to close the gap is so addicting I struggle to put it down most days.
Thanks for all of the work you did to put this together. The best part for me was how you kept each description short and distilled down to the most salient reason to either use a weapon or not. Plus acknowledging that everyone is going to have their own experience and may have different preferences and success with any particular weapon than you did.
Proud of you for powering through. You should be proud of yourself! Congrats, and best of luck today on the featured stream: you’re going to crush it. 🤝
I personally love fighting lion. I use a hand cannon kinetic usually and use lion to clean up disengagements without having to push. Map knowledge and timing is very important though
Fantastic video Nomad. This might be the first tier list video that I just agreed with. Everything in the top tier is noticeably lethal whether you are using them or getting rocked by them. Well reasoned and explained with a good amount of depth, and presented very well. I like every weapon in the top tier and can pick them up and use them effectively.
As an avid "clean" telesto player (never abused any crucible enhancing bugs as hard as that can be), I think you genuinely should have put it at least in the great to elite tier. Paired with a targeting mod or two, you can map people with it due to its lack of damage falloff at even pulse rifle distances, paired with amazing consistency (especially after the latest patch), multi-kill/chip damage potential like a mini firefly just by shooting an enemy due to the explosive nature of the weapon (I've killed 3 full health players with one burst in control before), and the ability to set traps. And with enough map knowledge, those traps can be nasty, like completely invisible until you die to it nasty, as well as being an area denial tool, anti-shotgun tool, and flinch monster. Pair it with a hand cannon and even if you don't quite get the kill with telesto you can tap them with the hc and they'll fall over. As for the extent at which I use telesto, it's the only fusion I ever take into crucible, and have the most weapon medals for out of any weapon, beating hand cannons for me my one at 209 cold fusion medals. Likely has the most crucible kills out of any single weapon I've ever used, if only it had a crucible tracker. I've got unlisted clips of everything I've noted here, and if you're interested I'd be down to share them.
This video made me really happy. It's like a love letter of all the greatness destiny exotic guns are. I had a smile on my face the entire time. Thank you lol
I love your style of videos, the polite yet hilarious humor like “if you snorted enough G fuel” it’s plain funny and the polite script is quite the contrast!
I agree with your rankings, and have found a build I love with the four headed dog. Missle titan and dunes with that auto shotgun was my answer to all the PK shyauras titans. An absolute blast when paired with a cartesian or null composure for a bit more range. A sleeper door bashing entry build. missle down then spray with the dog, let you team push the opening and you have an easy team wipe. Also it eat titan barricades and stasis crystals for breakfast and your least favorite roaming super for lunch. Just dont use focus fire.
Great video. Really appreciated all of the time, effort, thoughtfulness, and care you put into it. A real passion project. Well done. And your highest ranked gun?! A hilarious end to it all. Awesome stuff.
I think what I love about some of the "elite" category weapons is how much fun they are to use. Particularly Last Word and DMT. I don't know how else to explain it, they don't feel super sweaty to me, even if they are, they're just a blast to use. Love, love, love my Crimson though.
Erianas vow is such a good pvp weapon, it’s viable close range and long range with hard hitting high damage bullets and a good rate of fire. It’s honestly so overlooked but it is a weapon of mass destruction
Gotta admit, I figured that Divinity was just omitted as a PvE item. Then I got to the end and there it is. Definitely going to have to try it out with a team in 3's or 6's.
Okay this is my first video of yours. And wow I was so surprised how much I enjoyed it. You have amazing delivery with your opinions and your jokes. Definitely subscribing and watching more. All good vibes from you👌🏼👌🏼
You nailed the issue I always have when someone on my team is using wish ender. Wall hacks are great, but essentially you have one person who is either trying to do 1v3 or is semi-useless when it comes to moving around the map. Good exotic for passive players tho and quickswap but hard pass as well.
Can we take a moment and appreciate Bungie for a sec? They've made sixty unique weapons, and while they may not be great in your hands, there are people out there able to slay with them because it suits them. I wouldn't ask a Scout Main to use a Sidearm, and vice versa, and I think there is something inherently special with the flavor and lethality all guns have in the right hands. The same goes for Exotic armor, but this is more contentious at the moment because of Neutral Game exotics. I wonder how dramatically the Crucible would change if all the neutral exotics were removed/rebuilt from the ground up for particular subclasses.
You gained a new follower my friend. Great info and POV, crisp video, and so funny that makes this 40 mins run smooth! Very nice video all around very valuable!
Sunshot is also another elite gun for me. Amazingly high overall stats, higher ttk than all other Hand cannons because it’s a 150, and intrinsic explosive rounds that flinch your enemies like crazy and can hit around corners
Vig is more forgiving, ntte is better in everything else, so if you can get comfy and confident with ntte its a direct upgrade unless your trials team tends to throw
Riskrunner is my favourite gun and it made me so happy you put it that high!! People usually hate on it, including my friends so this was a breath of fresh air.
As a PvE main who occasionally wanders into the Crucible, I'm happy to see Witherhoard so high on the list! The sweats scoff at it, but it really is a multi-use weapon. It denies revives in 3s, locks down zones in 6s, shuts down shotty apes & it's oh so satisfying when you hit that direct impact shot!
Sweet Buisness being in the “bad” category is a sin to the Sweet Business gang. I ran it with Actium War Rig back during Shadowkeeps launch, and got my Recluse using it. From 0 glory to max. Needless to say, I’m surprised how well I did
really dove into the crucible heavily this past week for the first time. learned a lot from that and this video has given me a new look at a lot of guns that i'm excited to get and try out.
WOW such a great video!! I have some things i disagree with but that is how it should be. For me Erianas Vow is higher in the tier list , i think the damage profile of this weapon can catch many players by suprise, but i overall agree with you with no build supporting it , it is kind of a "shoot an switch" gun. Super excited for the follow up video next year! Great work !!!
This video is bang in the money (for 3 weeks ago),. This video totally got you a sub bro. I’ve been playing for the entirety of destiny’s life cycle. This is 100% the best pvp exotic ranking video. I’m very impressed….
I’m 10 minutes in, have laughed out loud three times about jokes about your mum, admired your incredible grit to unlock the skyburners oath catalyst just for this video, in marvel at the effort you went to give each weapon a fair chance.
It's worth noting that the le monarque exotic trait is lasts forever with oathkeepers (normally you have to shoot the arrow straight after full draw for a poison effect, but with oathkeepers the poison arrow is always active)
explosive shadow also works if you say shoot 2 rounds into a person and then shoot their head which manages to kill them, the other 2 shots trigger explosions, which if near other targets hits them.. for each shot that didnt kill the target bellow to 5 shot trigger.

Great content and really helpful for me as a new player. Thought it was funny to open saying that it wasn't going to be a tier list : proceeds to Rank weapons by tier :)
I think wish ender is top tier and is my go to weapon, and it’s high damage allows it to be used quite aggressively if you have a clean up weapon like a sidearm or rapid fire fusion rifle
Thanks for putting in the time to make this. Nothing to disagree here, solid list. More important though: This has been hilariously entertaining. Can't think of any video in this style that made me laugh like this one. Great work, mate. Please keep it up!
Bophadiez died of Steve Jobs. What's your take on armor combat mods vs armor weapon mods in the crucible? Charged with light sources and sinks or use the targeting mods?
preached about divinity about a year ago, pair it with a 120 hand cannon and maybe lucky pants. has the eriana's vow/bow - esque playstyle to it. absolutely melts, i appreciate you considering it above bad
I only started playing destiny a month or two ago. I don’t have many exotics but by far my favorites are witherhoard and riskrunner. They fit so well into my play style and I don’t think I’ll stop using them anytime soon
Pleasantly surprised you ranked my favorite exotic so high. Sunshot never leaves my inventory. It's just got that bread and butter/meat and potatoes feel that goes well with my playstyle.
As a pve main who rarely steps into crucible tommy's matchbook even without its catalyst did wonders allowing me to trade out or even win duels i otherwise would not have won due to the extra dmg i deal. Path of burning steppes also helped when getting multiple kills in quick succsesion.
picked up wavesplitter right before agers scepter came out n never looked back. it's my baby on my hunter now. was genuinely shook by how lethal it was in pve n pvp.
As a bow main I can attest that wish-ender without the combo is not the greatest choice, but with a combo on the hands of someone who knows how to use it is extremely dangerous. Specially if that person knows how to bypass the draw time problem. Although the ability to be able to see the enemies through walls is extremely useful in game modes like trials if you have a coordinated fireteam
something with the riskrunner if u have the exotic active you gain ammo in the current mag after hitting enemies so I you have the exotic active you can just continuously shoot a boss if active
I’m a longtime player who recently got back into the game after a year long break. I played in year 1 of destiny 1 and I am well familiar with what the mythoclast can do. After coming back and seeing that Vault of Glass is back, Bungie was nice enough to give me back my mythoclast on the first clear. It is just as dominant as it always was, I am happy that Bungie is making exotics that feel exotic again
Glad that Cerberus got some love. Blinting with a quick access sling and disruption break pairs really well with the auto rifles overstated range. It shuts down shotgun users easily, and landing all critical hits with the focused fire can melt titans in their own bubbles. In my experience it is awfully weak to fusion rifles because the blint combo and time to kill are not quick enough.
Le monarque for pvp and trinity ghoul with catalyst for pve, absolutely love bows! Might have to try out some of those trace rifles you pointed out looked like fun

My friend who has 100K fusion kills in the crucible also agrees. He is a Telesto main.
idk about that eriana's placement, its basically a sniper with low zoom. That imo bumps it super high plus its ammo efficiency is very high as well.
it does not one shot
Eriana’s Vow is insane, first exotic I used to go flawless. It may be in “The Bad” but I love it
“The spirit of bofadeez” got a good laugh out of me😂😂😂
0:30 that aged well
Great video. Really appreciated all of the time, effort, thoughtfulness, and care you put into it. A real passion project. Well done. And your highest ranked gun?! A hilarious end to it all. Awesome stuff.
I was very suprised but also very happy to see divinity in the elite tier
All good vibes from you👌🏼👌🏼
When you tested Divinity, did it have a noticeable impact on the pre-nerf Heir Apparent? (Thank goodness DR went from 75%->25%)
Daniel joke killed me, great job! Amazing video, keep your head up cause people who love you are watching!
You nailed the issue I always have when someone on my team is using wish ender. Wall hacks are great, but essentially you have one person who is either trying to do 1v3 or is semi-useless when it comes to moving around the map. Good exotic for passive players tho and quickswap but hard pass as well.
Quick note about Polaris Lance, Perfect Fifth explosions spawn Sunspots on bottom tree sunbreaker
On a side note, while working on The Prospector catalyst I found out that it generates sunspots as well. Great for random DOE type activities.
Thank you!
Sunshot is also another elite gun for me. Amazingly high overall stats, higher ttk than all other Hand cannons because it’s a 150, and intrinsic explosive rounds that flinch your enemies like crazy and can hit around corners
“With the right amount of G-Fuel snorted” made me subscribe immediately. Great vid, very informative and entertaining.
Great video! I need to give NTTE more of a chance, I tend to prefer Vigilance Wing a lot more.
Vig is more forgiving, ntte is better in everything else, so if you can get comfy and confident with ntte its a direct upgrade unless your trials team tends to throw
It’s hands down one of the best feeling pulse rifles in the game
This video was so useful. Tried those high ranked guns in the crucible and I feel better at the game.
"Aim for the chest with Graviton"
"Yeah, that helped but not much."
"So, aim for the crotch."
You had me rapt the entire time but then you pulled out telesto and I subbed immediately. Your formula for your videos are spot on!
Sidearm buff was absolutely enormous and they are incredible now. You might need to update your rankings for them.
Huh?
You mean pistols?
@@victuz ???

Riskrunner is my favourite gun and it made me so happy you put it that high!! People usually hate on it, including my friends so this was a breath of fresh air.
As a PvE main who occasionally wanders into the Crucible, I'm happy to see Witherhoard so high on the list! The sweats scoff at it, but it really is a multi-use weapon. It denies revives in 3s, locks down zones in 6s, shuts down shotty apes & it's oh so satisfying when you hit that direct impact shot!
Bad Juju high key underrated. Great video!
Sweet Buisness being in the “bad” category is a sin to the Sweet Business gang. I ran it with Actium War Rig back during Shadowkeeps launch, and got my Recluse using it. From 0 glory to max. Needless to say, I’m surprised how well I did
sweet business is more for bosses and groups of enemies
really dove into the crucible heavily this past week for the first time. learned a lot from that and this video has given me a new look at a lot of guns that i'm excited to get and try out.
16:45 ive seen two shotgun apes dance on my deadbody only to realize when they bit the dust they were standing in the puddle
0:31
Man Graviton Lance is so damn cool it hurts to hear you say this and be right. :(
*EDIT:* 8:52
There it is. Nooooo... :(
Graviton needs some serious help. It got left behing during Y2's quickening of TTKs.
@@comradethegreat3599
Yeah. I'm not certain how they'll tackle it though, especially since they've reworked it once, so anything can happen.
@@jamescruz8678 At the very least they could buff the damage against minors. It's painfully weak.
This video is bang in the money (for 3 weeks ago),. This video totally got you a sub bro. I’ve been playing for the entirety of destiny’s life cycle. This is 100% the best pvp exotic ranking video. I’m very impressed….
On#
I’m 10 minutes in, have laughed out loud three times about jokes about your mum, admired your incredible grit to unlock the skyburners oath catalyst just for this video, in marvel at the effort you went to give each weapon a fair chance.
It's worth noting that the le monarque exotic trait is lasts forever with oathkeepers (normally you have to shoot the arrow straight after full draw for a poison effect, but with oathkeepers the poison arrow is always active)
I use Orpheus rig instead, do you think oathkeeper would be better
Bread
agreed
Bread👍
i really thought i was about to get got when you said that 1:35
I've loved hand cannons since D1 and so it came as no surprise when Crimson and The Ace became my favorites.
explosive shadow also works if you say shoot 2 rounds into a person and then shoot their head which manages to kill them, the other 2 shots trigger explosions, which if near other targets hits them.. for each shot that didnt kill the target bellow to 5 shot trigger.
I remember OP bastion days! I would actively run towards supers, it used to rip through supers like they weren't even there
Bophadiez died of Steve Jobs. What's your take on armor combat mods vs armor weapon mods in the crucible? Charged with light sources and sinks or use the targeting mods?
i love using palindrome and astral they’re enough for me and i don’t feel like i’m punching below the belt!
preached about divinity about a year ago, pair it with a 120 hand cannon and maybe lucky pants. has the eriana's vow/bow - esque playstyle to it. absolutely melts, i appreciate you considering it above bad
Finally got around to watching this. Fantastic Job Nomad.
I've loved the 4th Horseman since I first got it in D1 and have fun using it in crucible.
I was incredibly suprised by devil's ruin ranking. i never see it in crucible, but I use it all the time. So that ranking brought me a lot of joy.
Really well made video, that remind me why I fall in love for Borderlands 2 in the first place then Destiny... then Destiny 2.
Thanks
What about the quicksilver storm auto rifle? This gun has a perk. It shoots micro missiles and stacks up to a grenade launcher to 3.
24:35 "With the right amount of gfuel snorted" made me laugh while drinking gfuel LMAO, that gained you a sub for sure,
This has reminded me I have never seen anyone with or taken divinity into crucible, I now want to try it out more then ever
"More range than Daniel Day Lewis" got me lol-ing. Great vid! Cheers.
I know I’m late but what handcannon was he using when showcasing lord of wolves, I’ve seen it everywhere and it looks really good
Telesto is the besto! The comedic timing of that was just perfect.
I was going for the Deadeye seal and you helped me do it in no time!
