Thanks for watching I greatly appreciate it . Don't forget to subscribe lol . The Atomos definitely allows for way more flexibility when grading . The files also were easier (although the sizes were huge) to work with .
Man oh man oh man, what a difference a ninja makes. As you say need the other bits & they add up to a pretty penny too. However I guess like lenses, they're keepers when upgrading camera. Having said that X-H2/X-H20 is about to be released in a few months, supposed to have 6K & 8K 10 bit video and other top new features at $2500, now that's wild. Less than half the price of anything in that league, huge sensor, currently. Fujifilm CEO recently said he's going to make his main money from chips & medical instruments, but will keep the camera business "as a service to society". Let's hope so.
For sure the ninja make a big difference. The investment is definitely worth it if you are going to be grading and on long shoots. It's amazing. I too am very excited for the future of Fujifilm. This was my entry into This system and I have to say what you get for the money is outstanding. If they could work on something to rival sony's and canon's AF they would make even more of a mark on the industry. Thanks for watching .
@@TwoTimesRmedia here video below at 4 minutes & 14s he explains in the X-T4 output to SD-Card & HDMI can be different, but not on X-S10. However full frame cameras with bigger sensors are sometimes even cheaper than X-T4, used or even new. Can't really justify X-T4 price. 2 types output would surely be cool for eterna to SD-card and F-log 10bit to HDMI. ruclips.net/video/o_kidgFuRIU/видео.html
@@go0ot I've watched that video before. Yeah there are some full frame you can get for cheaper than an X-T4 but , how many have 10 bit internal recording ? And 4k 60 fps. I wish the X-S10 had the film simulation on card and F-Log to external also.
@@TwoTimesRmedia I'm looking at a used Panasonic S1 for cheap. Looking at cheaper S5 too, though not used as not many selling & used prices not much cheaper than regular deals. S1 is much better but even with firmware update both do 6k (5.9k). X-H2(0) rumored for spring release at $2600, has features not found under $5k + cinematic 6k + 8k. If true: game changer. S1 (used) or S5 deals/used much cheaper than $2.6k. ALSO Native (AF etc) Lenses exist for both (Sigma, Viltrox etc) brand, cheaper & good. So yeah.
Great split screen comparison Ricky and I could tell the 8 bit seemed washed out compared to the 10 bit. I can score one for $250 in exc. condition. What say you for use with my X-S10? Thanks Ricky.
First off thanks for watching and commenting. I think the benefits are excellent. The unlimited recording , granted the X-S10 hopefully doesn't overheat . And if you get a decent size SSD. The 10 bit if you really need to color grade is definitely way better to push and pull over the 8 bit. Now for me you will have to rig out your X-S10 just a little bit so you can use either a dummy battery or a USB C PD power bank. The atomos definitely can stay with you if you upgrade to a camera that does 4k 60 .
Thanks for watching, I recorded in prores 4:2:2 10bit . No you do not need to activate 10 bit in settings . In the file format option in movie mode will show you it is 8bit to the SD and 10bit to an external recorder.
Thanks for watching. I've never worked with or edited 10 bit footage prior to this. I was amazed at how much adjustments on 8 bit caused it to fall apart.
I bought an X-T4 although one can buy it and get 10 bit 4.2.0 Internal. The X-T4 needs the atomos ninja v to unlock 10 bit 4.2.2 just like the X-S10 does. For the cost of entry the X-S10 is smaller easier to pick up and shoot if you aren't familiar with the Fuji system and all the tactile dials. Of course I get it , we are splitting hairs . The X-T4 is awesome but, some people can't afford such a camera right up front. The best thing would be to get an X-T3 for the same cost as the X-S10 if you don't need a flip out screen and IBIS it's the best option. Thanks for watching. This video was just to show the difference of adding an atomos ninja V vs trying to color grade 8 bit internal on the X-S10.
Amazon had a great deal on the X-T3. It appears fuji is discontinuing it so if you can find one at a great price go for it. If you can get one cheaper than the X-S10 go for it.
Thank you for sharing Ricky, that what I exactly want to know about the super power of using Ninja V on X-S10. great shots btw.

Do you need to activate 10 bit output in the camera? In which atomos codec have you recorded?

Thank you for this great video brother... I have a question, can I do the same on Windows Premiere
Thanks for watching. What would you like to do on premier ? Record in 10 bit ?
thanks you Ricky, it helped me a lot. hugs from Spain!!!
You are very welcome. Glad I could help. Thanks for the sub 😉
Good video, but your shooting location (Miami) is amazing! You should have started with a little test footage.
Actually palm beach but, I will try that again just hoping to get folks to stick around for the meat and potatoes. Thanks for watching.
The whole beginning was technically test footage to show the differences side by side.
great review. keep em coming. thanks
Thanks a lot for watching and I greatly appreciate it
the 10 bit looks richer and vibrant.
That's for sure. Made me buy an X-T4, lol
Can FHD monitor record 10 bit?

@@TwoTimesRmedia they are the same price…
Some places still sell the X-T3 for more body only by a couple hundred dollars.
