I bought silver and gold bands (rings) at sales 25 cents each and soldered bezels on them and set stones in them. One I set a sand stone- gold stone on one and another an opal. Turned out great! I was a Jeweler and made it from design. all hand made.
Hey, CL Hunter, wanted to let you know you were mentioned by several members in Resellers Society when the question was what YTers do we like the most for online selling info. I was happy to see it.
I am glad you got your money! PayPal reminds me of Amazon, we make them money but they don't give the seller good support. I wonder if it would have made a difference if you had let UPS or FedEx pack your box instead? Would that have been enough proof for PayPal that you actually sent the computer? Someone said it already, what goes around comes around. Good luck and God bless all of us sellers.
Hey mate. Love the videos. The overall word i get in my head, from seeing all these things can be put in just 1 word: Quality. Whenver you can pick up nice quality brand for cheap, pick the item up. Greetings from Denmark
Your photos are fantastic. What camera do you use? Also, did you have the tennis racket on a plexiglass shelf? Was the shelf attached to the back wall? Very nice professional look. Would be very interesting if you showed us your photo setup/equipment/techniques!
Ha Ha like the Halloween bit at the end ! Yes, years ago when I first sold my Grundig Sattelite Radio the person said he never got it even though it was tracked at arriving at his residence so I had to refund over $200.00 to him....just remember what goes around comes around do good it will return as well as doing bad its your choice to do good or evil part of doing business at times as one never knows what some jerks will do.....Happy Hunting ! Been watching from the begging this case and glad you got this resolved. This is just a suggestion but when you sent the item did you put in just a box with brown sellotape to seal it? If you did this item may of been opened in transit and exchanged as I do know this sort of thing can go on. I always black shrink wrap my valuable items so there is no way some one can break into the parcel in transit. He probably is 99% a scammer but could on another hand be telling the truth. Real glad all sorted now though for you.
I am sure Paypal wrote this one off as not worth pursuing. You can't blame them because of the expense and time involved to track this guy down. But it sucks that now this guy can do it again to someone else! Good luck with the USPS investigation. Thanks for showing the stuff sold!! I especially liked the cast iron door knocker. You showing it confirms my experiences that almost anything cast iron sells well. Good Luck and God Bless!
What is bad is that if you were like 99% of other sellers you would probably accepted the first result with the scammer. Only when you went the extra mile did you get your money back! Hustle harder at its best. So many would have just accepted getting scammed:(
Wow! that really does suck! I have been waiting over a month and a half for an 200.00 order from ebay that is shipping from China. Customs returned it to company and have to wait til November 28 they said. I am going to start making coin rings. But I have to watch out for the shit they have on ebay too. Better luck!
It is good that you guys got your money back. It is bad that the scammer got the money too! I hope that you guys are going to take the matter further as this guy will only scam more people.
Thanks Peter the more info the better. appreciate any help. Can i quiz you, I just started listing some appealing pick items, and probably expecting instant results but know that it takes time. My question is without a previous seller rating will it slow down the process and does this change as you increase your seller rating? when you started did you feel it was very slow? P.s. ive only been listing for three weeks. Nothing sold Thanks Mate, Aussie learner.
Hey Pete, I picked up my first Sansui Receiver Yesterday at a yard sale from a original owner, Model 8080DB in mint condition, WOW its a sweet receiver that sounds amazing. I am actually thinking about keeping it, It sounds that good. i paid up of it but its well worth it. Wish it was the 9090Db but i still like. Maybe i will send you some photos Pete, Thanks of the videos. Peace Out
I have 2 9090db,s one my dad bought new the outher was from a neighbor 2 houses down also bought it new. I will never get rid of them they are awsome units. the only unit i have had that comes close and i still have is a high end onkyo from around 96, early basic surround.
Is there any possibility that someone at the postal service took the computer and put in sand bags? This seems unlikely to me, but there must be some chance that this happened. Also have you tried to call the customer (sometimes ebay puts their # on the order). Maybe he is just a normal guy who thinks he really got screwed.
If you have the drive I would take him to court. Consult a lawyer and file a case. At the least he is slandering your reputation and causing you a loss in business , plus he will have to show up for court or lose the case. Have to stick it to him somehow for all of us or this is basically a case study on how to win with this scam. Or maybe we need that reseller mafia that's been spoken of.
call the company that shipped it on a flatbed that shit doesnt go through usps and they may even pay out that 20 grand still if there was magically no evidence of a car being shipped to avoid a legal case and all the fees involved with a user who now got ripped off legitimately
But as far as what I was selling it's rare coins and bills and that is crazy because some coins can and will get you rich Now I have a very big and rare collection And my. Collection is worth a lot of money I have book collection as well
I liked the accordion info. Sucks that that guy wins. Sheesh. What are buyers supposed to do? Step-by-step videos of packaging and shipping to cover their @$$e$?
They most definitely do care more for buyers, that's obvious, they don't even allow sellers the possibility of leaving buyers negative feedback. The buyers are where the $$$ comes from
go to the user block list and add the buyer to your own list its simple as that and you can also check the no communication on the block list so that buyer on your block list can not send you anymore messages.
I don't get Ebay. They close the guys account but then let him get his money back and the item. Why if he's legit than why close the account? They know he's a scammer! 1 item history vs your perfect history! It's bullshit!
I like your videos, because your clear, upfront and honest about what your teaching. Even some of the bad stuff.

You guys need to start taking pictures of the shipping weight receipt / sticker on your item

I can't believe that PayPal let him keep his money. I am glad that you were able to get your money back though.

It is good that you guys got your money back. It is bad that the scammer got the money too! I hope that you guys are going to take the matter further as this guy will only scam more people.
The perfect internet crime...why go out and rob? Great 👍🏻 idea for future and current scammers ( the old sand in my package 📦 trick)
Good tip for buyer, they will keep doing this to get free stuffs.
Thanks Peter the more info the better. appreciate any help. Can i quiz you, I just started listing some appealing pick items, and probably expecting instant results but know that it takes time.

Is there any way to so if the computer goes online? Would the computer's serial number be traceable online?
I enjoy your videos very much!

Is it possible to hide sales ect. from a employee where they can only see the listing section.

If you keep it and need work done check out www.qexrestore.com they only work on sansui.
sorry qrxrestore
Did USPS say anything about the investigation?
Is there any possibility that someone at the postal service took the computer and put in sand bags? This seems unlikely to me, but there must be some chance that this happened. Also have you tried to call the customer (sometimes ebay puts their # on the order). Maybe he is just a normal guy who thinks he really got screwed.
They wouldn't close his ebay account unless they had proof he was dishonest.
great vid, very interesting
At least you got you're money back.
thank you!!! cheers
Thank's!
you can see that doofus in the ad in the beginning reading the script off to his left.
Great info,,,

monchu green k
so it was a $600 laptop on this occasion and Paypal paid you out of their pocket. What would they do if it was a $20,000 car then?
call the company that shipped it on a flatbed that shit doesnt go through usps and they may even pay out that 20 grand still if there was magically no evidence of a car being shipped to avoid a legal case and all the fees involved with a user who now got ripped off legitimately

Paypal is stupid lol
I hope they catch that guy!!!!!
Great vlog!!!
Do Accordions sell?
I liked the accordion info. Sucks that that guy wins. Sheesh. What are buyers supposed to do? Step-by-step videos of packaging and shipping to cover their @$$e$?
Intro*
Oh gosh! Yeah. Sorry. Sometimes my mind thinks one thing and my fingers decide to type another.
right, seems like paypal cares more about buyers, sick of it!
The Tae Kwon Doe
It happens to me also.
They most definitely do care more for buyers, that's obvious, they don't even allow sellers the possibility of leaving buyers negative feedback. The buyers are where the $$$ comes from
i s0ld a tennis racket for 200... best flip ever but htf
How do you block a buyer ? I got scammed as well
go to the user block list and add the buyer to your own list its simple as that and you can also check the no communication on the block list so that buyer on your block list can not send you anymore messages.
Louie Huerto Thank you very much , Im going right now
how did you get scammed?
I don't get Ebay. They close the guys account but then let him get his money back and the item. Why if he's legit than why close the account? They know he's a scammer! 1 item history vs your perfect history! It's bullshit!
Tannis Records
You should share the scammer's name and address so others can be aware and not get scammed.
