The work was done correctly and very well done. This comment is not to criticize, it's just a suggestion. I would have put painters tape parallel to where the screws are to avoid the screws getting filled with putty or hot mud. In the future, if the home owner need to remove the switch for whatever reason, the screws won't be filled with putty or hot mud Thus making it easier to remove and replace.
Although that is not what you did, I can see many other DYI individuals that don't have the experience you do doing exactly that.
