    Can we just take a second and appreciate his skill. Fixing drywall, shooting texture and caulking the door. All while recording himself. 👍🏽👍🏽

      Man you won’t believe how many contractors here in Texas don’t caulk the top door casing… They just assume that no one will ever see it so why not? Drives me insane.

    Nice one! This one answered a curiosity I’ve had when watching your shorter clips (regarding how long do you wait before knocking the texture down). Well put together Jalapeño!

    Huge tip for small texture job. Get a palm size piece of styrofoam and put a thinned out layer of mud on the repair and press and pull that styrofoam on the wet mud let it tack and knock it down!

    • @chancemac5427
      @chancemac5427 2 года назад +1

      Then you can avoid the plastic and taping off everything

    Would you plz teach us how to match up new patched drywall to old painted drywall? It's especially bad in my bathroom but whenever I patch - it's always so much smoother than the existing painted drywall and has an obvious difference.

    Mr Jalapeno love your vids. You do great and I've seen you grow. Gives me how friend. I love sensing people who are true to where they are and who they are. That's my prayer for myself more and more as of late. I've had some of these repairs and was just wondering because I have no idea in pricing how do you base a crack repair on price? World love some advice because I don't want to screw the customer or myself and sometimes it seems like I do myself. Thanks again.

    Hey jalapeño! So I live in a pretty old house and the walls are plaster 😕 and I was wondering what I should do for holes and things. Should I go over it with plaster? Or is there another method. Thanks!

    Is there an easy way to add back that bumpy texture if you don’t have that spray tool? Our walls are textured like in your video and we scraped off a chunk when going round a corner when we were moving in. Annoying every time I see that wall. Love your informative videos keep up the great work!

      Ithink you can use spray texture in a can on heavy setting.

    Hey jalapeño. What part of Colorado are you from? Ive been following your work for a while. My sister recently moved to Colorado with her husband and I’m thinking of moving there in around that area. I do very similar work that you do and i also have experience doing stucco work (patches and new construction) and drywall and paint work.

    Hey MJ.
    I do work like that, how much $$ do you think it’s honest to charge for a work like that ?

    • @Mr.Pop0
      @Mr.Pop0 2 года назад

      Since nobody is replying, if i gotta drive out just for this little crack ill charge $150 if the homeowner has the paint. Otherwise, i gotta color match and buy the paint, $250. And with the current supply chain issues which sherwin williams has it may be more money bc i gotta hunt down a paint can around the city. These are texas prices. I rarely ever get a call for one small thing though. Almost always I get a punch list of stuff so a crack like this would actually be included as part of the bigger project and really come down to $50-70 if im repainting the place.

    What if there wasn’t any studs or backing behind the crack then what do you do??

    • @Mr.Pop0
      @Mr.Pop0 2 года назад +1

      You add the backing, cut out a hole and screw a piece of wood behind the drywall

    • @NuttedInYoMom
      @NuttedInYoMom 2 года назад

      Just throw in a piece of wood back there to secure the drywall patch, and existing drywall.
      It doesn't have to be structural wood like a stud. Just any piece of wood that secures both the existing drywall, to the drywall patch.
