to me that's the best looking chrome powder coat i have seen yet, the primer is something i like also, most places out here won't even do the primer, i guess they are too lazy, but to me it makes a huge difference.

How durable is the finish compared to chrome plating? I have a classic Jaguar convertible with Dayton Wire Chrome Wheels. The knock off spinners need refinishing.
I had mine done with super chrome and cleared from a professional that's been doing it for years and years the problem is one of my aluminum wheels is turning a brown tinted color and it won't come off I tried everything to remove it and still looks like crap. Also you are right about that they dull after the clear is applied and seems they dull even more even after months of being done. And yes they were dipped, blasted and the right clear applied from prismatic which now I need another set done and I am really thinking of not going with the super chrome again. I don't know if they came out with a new clear for the super chrome but something has to change with this product cause it looses it's shine shortly afterwards. Now I have to get the wheel redone and that is costly. On the next set I'm getting done I just might try something else like polished aluminum.
The brown is because they undercured the powder ;)
The key is to be light. To help out i pre bake the wheel, apply the powder bake the wheel for 12mins at 400 degrees than apply powder gloss clear coat

@@UnknownCoatings This is how it's done with acrylic clear coats, probably why a lot of people think it works for powder too.

well its specific to the job, so it varies.
So whats the bottom line ?😮 is there a enclosure which can achieve the request of the suv or not ? Good to know there's a formula for calculation of the vehicles interior layout to achieve optimum sound performance, as i have a accord station wagon and aside from wanting to go ported there's a difference between round port and the more recent commonly used rectangle port which im not sure is as good as round/tubular port and then there's the location of direction the port is facing in relation to the subs,but good to know this indepth information

how does the chrome look up close? I have done a couple chrome parts, trying to find the color I want for my bike. I just tried Columbia Coatings Chroma Chroma and in my hand it has a grey color. From a distance it looks chrome, but Once I but a black candy over that it looks more like a gun metal, the prismatic ultra black chrome looked just like a dark silver. I also dont have a professional gun like you have. I just have the Eastwood 250 powder system. Just a DIYer here.

On the video that you done about making the hopper kit I couldn’t find anything on where you drill the holes in the hopper tube or how long it was
It mentioned where to drill holes but it ends up about 1/2" from.bottom of hopper

its a matter of finding a good color match. Rose gold isnt a real color so lots of people have variations of it

Getting into powder coating. Just ordered “Eastwood PCS-250 Dual Voltage Powder Coating Gun” starting off. What r ur thoughts or opinions? Looks like it’s only got 2 settings. 12k n 25k.

Typically when doing a set of wheels I would order 2 Lbs of color and 2lbs of clear and end up with left over of both

Chrome plating for wheels in the US isn't really a thing. Limited companies to do it and insanely expensive for those who do

On new polished wheels, would you recommend still blasting and throwing chrome on it with a transparent top coat ?I know a lot of companies that sell wheels will just shoot candy over polished. what's your thoughts?

Paint is for peasants. This is powder coat
