At White Sands, you can also rent sleds and slide down the dunes until you can't take anymore. It's fun for adults, but the kids definitely get a blast out of it. If you decide to go sledding, ensure you have some backup clothes, shoes, and some water to wash feet etc... Just in case. The sand can get everywhere, just like at the beach. Especially if you're sweaty and tumble down a hill lol.
@@doneown503 I hiked the Florida mountains 4 weeks ago in Rockhound state park and it’s beautiful and intense but worth it. Near the very top you have to scramble over a 1/4 mile of rocks but you will see about 3 beautiful arches . It took us 8 hours, good luck 👍🏿
Camping in White Sands on a full moon night in the spring is fun. I used to live in NM and did it several times with friends. I used to live within walking distance from your Airbnb in ABQ. The architecture and vibe of NM is something I dearly miss. I love the rounded edges of walls, door ways, and window sills.
the white sands look absolutely amazing, and it is definitely on my wishlist of places to visit now. seeing all your solo traveling videos really inspired me a lot. thank you so much.
Aw! This came up on my recommendations. I live in New Mexico! Blackbird Coffee House has been my addiction before going to school oops- it’s so good! I’m glad you visited that place and also supported local :) Next time you’re here I recommend going up to Northern, NM such as Taos 😇 glad to see you loved it here!
I grew up in Austin and we would always stop at White Sands on our way home from skiing. At least as a kid, the best part of white sands is bringing a disc/sled and sliding down the dunes!
Yay, I was just thinking about your channel. I love your videos so much. Your shots are so beautiful and cinematic. You're inspiring me to explore more of Italy as a solo female 💛
We love New Mexico! Chaco culture park would have been near Bisti. I’m surprised you chose ABQ over Santa Fe, but we do enjoy both. Haven’t ever made the trek to white sands, how beautiful!
It would be wonderful if she could do a Native America tour going to Chaco, Navajo Nation, and Acoma Sky village, along with some of the incredible petroglyph parks in these areas.
Phenomenal video, Allison! I saved it to watch for when I would feel very anxious as your voice, visuals, photography, and background music, everything calms me down! I would once again urge you to take a trip to India and I can be your tour guide, chauffeur, translator and many more things. It would be the best thing to explore my own country through your lens!😀😀😀 Also, people who are viewing this video- Please check out Rann of Kutch in India as it has a similar landscape and those who cannot afford/manage to travel to New Mexico can opt for it instead. Already waiting for your next video, Allison 🤩
This sponsorship is paired so well with the video. I'm in the market for a vehicle that excels on trips slightly off-road in the Rockies, and this video made me add the 4runner to the list. Whatever vehicle I choose, White Sands sunset just went on the bucket list.
I loved your video--love it here, NM resident. I road trips make trips just in NM and there are always wonderful things to do (more great places: Abiquiu and Ghost Ranch, red rock area north of Santa Fe; Taos and Taos ski area; Jemez Springs; Bosque del Apache , great bird watching area in winter; and Las Cruces)
Just a quick thank you for adding some fresh ideas, and places for me to explore as I am planning a road trip across Route 66, but as I am slowly learning, there is a whole chunk of the US around the mother road that truly needs to be considered, meaning I will be going on and off the road route to see more of the wider cultural heritage.
Girl! I was hoping you'd do a White Sands NP video! I've always wanted to go. I've always loved how your videos make the viewer feel like they're actually there, experiencing it with you, so this makes me so happy!
Local here 🙋 I love my state it's beautiful here. It's a good time you visited when you did though. The mountains are on fire up North. A lot of smoke and wind right now everywhere in our state. Visitors I recommended monitoring the fires and their location in proximity to your stay before planning your visit.
Loved this! We were recently at White Sands - I think you described it perfectly! I think a couple hours one day then a couple hours a second day would be a perfect visit for me. It was stunning.
I just recently relocated to New Mexico earlier this year from Michigan due to the beauty here. I really enjoyed this video! White sands is one of the most incredible places I have been to! Next time you come to New Mexico you need to stop in Angel Fire (most magical place I've ever seen), Taos, and carlsbad caverns!
Hi Allison - Francis from Sandia Peak Tramway here! :D It was a pleasure running into you. Great shots. Hope you liked the 4Runner. It's a great vehicle and home (for me).
Always look forward to your next video and you always impress me. This was just beautiful and glad Toyota loaned you something so comfortable to ride in.
Amazing trip to New Mexico. So beautiful and lovely😍💖 I missed the white dune. The Tramway views where incredible and White Sands looks so beautiful! I will have to go there next time... Hello, how're you doing?
You are a perfect videographer, your shots are stunning and incredibly elegant and sensational. I love your perspective of things and your vision, the combination of scenery & shots are blended in an awesome way, you make the places heavenly beautiful and insanely attractive. I would gently recommend if you extend your vlog a little bit longer and explore more of the place you are creating content for. Love you💖
Wow, it would be heartbreaking to drive all the way to White Sands just to have to turn back because they're doing military exercises nearby! Insane. Thanks for the tip. That shot at the beginning with the pastel colours, oh my God!! So stunning. Gorgeous video as always! All of your shots were awesome!
My Dad lives on the Missile Range. I was just there for a visit last week. New Mexico, White Sands specifically, is one of my favorite places. I visit at least once a year. We were able to be at the park for the recent lunar eclipse and it was beautiful!
Cool ! #VivaNM! My home. You missed a super awesome attraction. The Carlsbad Caverns. Some of the biggest cave systems in the U.S. So much to see and do. Just gotta know where to look. 😉😎
I am absolutely hooked on your videos and all the places you have gone. Super inspirational and forcing me to get out more on the weekend. Thank you! (Perhaps a Hawaii video next?)
if you ever go back to new mexico you should definitely go to carrizozo nm. it’s a really cool and unique small town and outside of it there are some awesome volcanic fields where you can see and climb on lava rocks. i’ve been there several times and it’s never a let down… Ruidoso New mexico is another really beautiful and picturesque town. so recently found ur content and i’m so in love, safe travels!❤
this looked so fun! I so want to stay at that airbnb! New Mexico has been at the top of my list, mainly visiting Carlsbad Caverns. Your white sands views were stunning!
Allison can you visit Laas Geel (Somali: Laas Geel), also spelled Laas Gaal, are cave formations on the rural outskirts of Hargeisa, Somaliland, situated in the Maroodi Jeex region of the country. They contain some of the earliest known cave paintings of domesticated African aurochs (Bos primigenius africanus) in the Horn of Africa. Laas Geel's rock art is estimated to date somewhere around circa 18,000 BC or 20,000 years ago.
If you ever come back through NM as a photographer you would love Carlsbad Caverns. No set of pictures does it justice and if you just randomly shoot the darkest spots you can get some amazing shots.
We used Toyota Corolla in Istanbul, Turkey since 2008. We bought a new corolla, and we had 283.xxx km. So far, it has few issues other than it is very reliable car. Increasing prices in Turkey does not allow me to buy a car, but few years later I want to buy a new toyota
Great video. BUT, like all other travel videos. You hardly ever see anyone come to Carlsbad. We have the Caverns here, a hidden water fall and some gorgeous open desert landscapes. Maybe on your next trip you can hit the southeast part of NM!
If you could road trip anywhere, where would you go?
Hello 👋 I'll buy this place too. Ok 👍■ k+3■

What about Albuquerque do you especially like?

I’m a New Mexican. It’s a beautiful state! Glad you did a video about it.
Me too I’ve lived in New Mexico almost my whole life!
Same here. It’s my home state as well.
there is mountain range , near Deming , is that worth checking out? I believe Rockhound park is near there, Florida Mts.

From California and got lucky enough to marry a New Mexican man. I’ve been here for two years and I’m not sure I ever want to leave!

First of all....Big thank you to you...your blogs r improving my English,...
White sands is definitely making it to my list.

I’m surprised you didn’t go to the Carlsbad Caverns! It’s awesome.
White Sands also has full moon nights where it is open later and they have a band playing on the dunes. It’s beautiful! They do it from May -October.
