- The horrific treatment of animals has been exposed at five slaughterhouses in Tasmania in 2023, through investigations conducted by @FarmTransparencyProject.
Footage reveals sheep, pigs, deer, goats, cows, and young calves enduring slaughter practices that most caring people, across Australia and the globe, would consider unconscionable. Many animals are killed while fully conscious, including days-old calves discarded from the dairy industry at just a few days old.
The meat and dairy industries don't want you to see this.
But the animals need you to.

Yeah, it's called going Vegan. The more ppl that do, the more pressure we put on these 'industries'. The first step is the food we eat. Cut off the demand and they stop the supply of flesh/secretions of non-human animals 😍

I think this is criminal. The people that are working in these abattoirs know the difference between what is wrong and what is right. These animals are being treated inhumanly, cruelly, punished for being there and being afraid. Some of those workers are so sadistic and disconnected from feelings towards animals they need help. These places should be closed down but it is all about the money and greed. Australia’s animal laws are archaic, broken and need to be urgently addressed and rectified by an independent body and not the industries making a profit from this carnage

Discusting. Everyone involved in this cruelty is not human but monsters. And to have the calves dragged away from their mothers is sad and confusing to the calf. All for the evil and greedy. If I was rich enough I would buy these animals and have a santuary and employ the best vets.

Sadly they will very rarely get involved; sometimes with pet abuse , but hardly ever with farmed animals.
It seems that there are only "guidelines" in place here for the treatment of livestock, no iron clad laws.
So many people turn a blind eye to this, they don't want to become involved or be upset industry money makers.
I've known the worst lady farmer to be on an RSPCA committee just so that people wouldn't investigate her cruelties.
