so glad I found this video and your channel, will be binging your vids now!! I also love that the books you talked about are not necessarily the hyped up books you'll see in almost every reading wrap up
ahhhh thank you so much !! that makes so much to me, and yea i like to read lesser known books as i get bored seeing the same books everyone else is reading lol
So glad you enjoyed Less Than Zero! I have it on my summer tbr and am excited to get to it! I read The Shards earlier this year and Glamorama recently and I just love how easy it is to read him while also being highly entertained!
The Covenant of Water is on my list to pick up soon (I'm trying to make a deal with myself, to read at least 3 books for every new book I get- I'm not doing too well here though). I'm currently reading "And Then She Fell" by Alicia Elliott, about a woman who just had a baby and goes through these mental states of dissociation and strange things happening. The Author is doing a free event next weekend in my small city I'm going to, and very excited about
that's such a good idea karen and probs one I should adopt myself as I'm buying too many books but don't want to put myself on a book buying ban! ooo 'and then she fell' sounds v intriguing, i'm def going to check it out!
I read four books this month, two romances, a thriller, and a fantasy romance! I started another thriller last night so potentially five if I finish within the next few days
I haven't watched the film yet but I really want to as I like robert downey jr! interesting that it has different endings - i didn't know that! I'm going to watch it soon tho and found out
I wholeheartedly agree with you about Sally Rooney. I also wanted to like her, but find that her characters are fairly one dimensional & difficult to empathize with.
I dnfed Beautiful World, where are you?, struggled through Conversations with Friends(I still don't understand the dynamic between the characters) and I'm only a lover of Normal People because of the show and you know there's a problem if the show is better than the book.

I read Less than Zero and watched the movie ages ago, but I remember they are quite different. Isn't the ending different?

@@katerinareem I watched it in the 80's when it came out so, I cannot be too sure.
I also am not a fan of sally Rooney
i've found my people !!
I started Emily Wilde’s Map of the Otherlands in May. Good luck with the general election; my country, India, is having one too.
amazing! how are you finding the book? best of luck with the election - always hoping for more useful governments !!
@@katerinareem The book is good so far.
