@@chrisdavie8163 There's a ton of rights problems around the TV movie, which is why I think they've never really brought him back. On th other hand, the Big Finish audios are super good and I highly recommend them - especially Chimes of Midnight and Scherzo.
@@ghstudios5087 only far as the images (though possible BBC mandate to lump 8th solely in w/ New Who), Grace and Chang Lee. Fox/Disney, don't have rights to 8th and the Master not the TARDIS. To this day, the last two mentioned aren't used by Big Finish but can invite Daphne and Yee to play UNIT personal as an alternative
nice to be reminded of the actual 8th Doctor era and what that was like since at this point almost every piece of 8th Doctor media that's released is just new who/time war.
Ok I'm gonna try to source the references seen in the artwork Cyberman: Sword of Orion, Charlie's first cyberman story Romana: president of gallifrey during the Anti-time crisis that leads to zegreus and the divergent universe arc C'rzz: from the divergent universe and companion to the doctor Charlie: 8th doctor's companion/semi romantic friend from the 1930s The television screens: A natural history of Fear, a 1984 style story where the audio medium is used to mess with the audience, quite an odd one Bug thing: this one I don't remember, so suggestions welcome (maybe Kro'ka?) Dalek: time of the daleks, the first 8th doctor dalek story on big finish (a damned good one too) Don Warrington's Rassilon: one of the main antagonists of this Era, and villan in Zagreus The Edward Grove sign: the house from The Chimes of Midnight, a wonderful murder mystery beloved by fans The jungle environment suggest to me the blue planet from the story The Next Life, the final story set in the divergent universe
Spot on for all of them but two! That insect actually is my attempt to make an updated Kromon (😅) and the forest was originally supposed to be Setarus from The Twilight Kingdom. I originally created this as an artwork for the first four Divergent Universe stories and then expanded it for Dalekium, so it ended up working better as the forest on the blue planet 😁
@@soundsmythproductions1481 ah! Twighlight kingdom, that makes sense. I still don't quite see it as a kromon, but it seems to fit their species persona better, but still, quite a good design overall, rassilon looks quite intimidating. Good job
Not only is this an excellent arrangement of the best theme (I said it) but it features an absolutely fantastic piece of art for the Charley era. Fitting release with the announcement of their return!
I found the original theme somewhat disjointed myself, with the weird crunching effect This version on the other hand is much better executed and polished.
Honestly, my favorite interpretation of the doctor who theme song. Too bad we didn't get the audio dramas here at the USA. Edit: nice remix and take of it by the way.
Not gonna lie, not only is this cover amazing. I also love the beginning vortex part. It looks like it could be used for title sequences for the divergent universe stories
I wish Paul McGann was the 14th doctor... that would've been awesome if it had been him that Jodie Whittaker had regenerated into and not David Tennant. We could've gotten a reunion between 8/14 and Charlie. It would also be interesting, if Neil Harris is in fact the Toymaker, to see the interactions between Charlie, this face, and the Toymaker. The last time they specifically met was in the companion chronicles story "Solitaire." In that story, the 8th Doctor is turned into a puppet, so no Paul McGann voice, and the only two speaking characters are Charlie (India Fisher) and the Toymaker (David Bailie).
It is still a crime to this day that Paul McGann never got a real amount of screen time as The Doctor after the 1996 TV Movie
Well the BBC knows it can still commission and make money from it, but it won't for whatever selfish reason.

@@ghstudios5087 Don't really get the fuss over Scherzo myself. 🤷♂️
The 8th Doctor’s theme doesn’t get enough love.

Just as 2:02 kicked in, something fell over in my flat, so that was terrifying.
Stunning work as ever!

Chimes is so overated. Never got the big fuss about Rob's writing frankly.
I'm still mad the 8th Doctor never got a tv seasons. But i'm glad 8th Doctor's story continued across various media.

Love the art used for this, it's a visual of my favorite 8th doctor Era.
The theme is great as well, I love Arnold's theme, it's so dark and bassey
Like the President of Great Britain in Age of Steel in a timelord oufit lol
Wow. That bassline is so punchy. Love it!
"I am ...ZAGREUS!!!!"
Loved the Big Finish theme and this has turned it up to 11.

@@ScoundrelDaysSon I did for 3 dollars on their official website, downloading it on to my computer.
I find this better than the actual theme myself.
This cover has a Terminator 1 esque feel to it. Pretty good rendition of David Arnold's theme.
NOW THAT'S HOW YOU SPARK NEW LIFE INTO ONE OF MY FAVOURITE THEMES! BRILLIANT JOB! 😱😍😍🤩💖
this is a perfect homage to the big finish 8th doctor, excellent work!
This deserves 1000 times the attention
I have no words this is amazing however I feel it loses some of the "punch/kick" idk but this theme is great
after 100 re-listens lemme correct that fool ^ this is one of the best if not the best doctor who theme
This is great, might try and find that thumbnail too for a pc background
Wonderful 🤩

Unfortunately that didn't happen because David tenant was friends with rtd
Smashing! Only thing I would suggest is making the melody a bit louder since I can’t really hear it. Might just be my speakers though
This remix gives the mysterious vibe to the song if the lonely (aka 8).

Wow Doctor Who 2009 theme pls

Intentional or not, it's a nice addition.
Yes.
How do you even make these
Very nice.. do you get payed for making these or you do this for fun?
