@jamierobertson2668's Eighth Doctor theme for Big Finish has always been a favourite theme of mine. I've been wanting to make a proper tribute to this tune since 2017; now that I deem my work good enough, I am now able to share my long-anticipated Eighth Doctor theme remix!

I cannot express how much I love this theme. Ever since I discovered Big Finish in 2016, I hoped to do the Eighth Doctor justice in my own ways. Now that I have some of the best-sounding orchestral libraries, it felt appropriate to cross this off my bucket list. Enjoy!

Big Finish Dr. Who Audio listeners, RISE UP!
Now that I’ve heard it, I can’t unhear it! This….Is….Brilliant!!! In my heart & mind, the BBC actually produced Dr. Who from 1996 - 2000, & this was his theme.
Never got played onscreen, and yet this is easily one of the greatest pieces of music in doctor who history
I don’t understand who at the BBC I’ve got to get on my knees and beg to for an 8 spin off show, his audios are unreal. He is by far my favourite doctor and the personification of hope.

I love how one can hear 10's S4 theme and I am the Doctor in it.
Also, parts of it reminds me of "Budding Brains" from 12's era as well.
In other words, much like these shoes; this fits as Doctors theme perfectly!
Honestly one of my favourite Doctors, the movie is so underrated
What's weird is a lot of it looked like it influenced how the modern show would be like, lots of scenes (like the bike chase) felt very 2006.

@@thewanderer1663 Also the fact that the Doctor is allowed romantic relationships (with humans!) rather than being just an old man father figure.
The movie may not have been the commercial hit the BBC was looking for, but so many of its decisions have been proved right.
Had the pleasure of meeting Paul McGann at a con recently, such a nice guy, one of my favourite doctors by far.
I've been wanting a cover/remake of this exact theme for years, searched it so many times waiting for somebody to do one and finally I suddenly see it in my subscription feed -- THANK YOU 😅
My guy is on a mission to do every Doctor except nine 😂
Nine is on the to-do list, along with One, Four, and possible redos of Twelve and Thirteen

Did anyone else get "The Dark Knight" vibes from this? Also, damn, this was epic.
I used strings from the “Spitfire Symphony Orchestra” library, which was recorded in AIR Studios-the same place The Dark Knight’s soundtrack was recorded!

i was expecting a cool rendition of the movie titles theme but i was NOT disappointed. there is not enough love for this theme, easily one of the best pieces for any doctor, and you've done a great job in expanding it here o7

Wow! I've never listened to this theme, but to be honest it's absolutely great. I've never been convinced that this man deserves a proper season. Make this Whoniverse thing worth it. Give us Paul McGann!!!

Wonder how it would sound with the 8th doctor's theme (there's a man I know) and combine it with the 9th doctor Ravagers theme from Big Finish?
Be interesting if Disney + had a CGI 8th Doctor series with Paul McGann doing the voice, like Star Wars Clone Wars and Rebels, while this would be about before the Doctor became directly involved with the Time Wars (Night of the Doctor).
