I bet they were clowning around and that's how they broke the door handle. I miss working on refrigeration. I did wine cellars for a few months. It was nice because I could do most of the work by myself. Great video!
I had an issue with a walk in box. Found out this dude that worked in the kitchen would shut off the breaker inside every time he would go inside because he would get cold. Told the kitchen manager to put a lock on it. So far so good lol.
Reminds me of the time I went to work on a walk in freezer for a hotel. The A/C for the kitchen was vandalized and out of service, the freezer is directly accessible from the kitchen, the door didn't latch nor shut properly (you had to shove the door shut), the condensing unit was in an unventilated service shack, and they couldn't understand why the 30+ year old 409a retrofitted freezer kept icing up and getting warm in the dead of summer. (Kitchen was averaging 86F with what I would guess 55-60% RH) Head meet wall.
just throwing it out there cause I use a torch still most times too but in a walk in even with the door open you build up CO quick. just something to think about if you haven't ;-)
You're right. You can get some good quality cheaper clamps on amazon. Just make sure you have a coworker that does have a name brand like field piece or fluke to compare the accuracy of your 10$ one from time to time
So it was icing up because of the door infiltration?...Because walk-in won't really satisfy, warm moist air constantly hitting the coil and not enough defrosts cycles for that messed up condition.... am I right? Enjoyed Dave
I used to make a trip to the same nursing home twice a week to thaw the coil cause they would prop the door open with a chair so they wouldn't have to open and close door all day(lazy fuckers) I would have to move chair and close door everytime i got there. I told them guys everytime not to leave door open and the boss man wpuld tell them. We just kept making money off them
I had the same thing on a phrmist medicine refrigerator defrosted it and never happened agen must have been the taking drugs out of the refrigerator to get high
I'm a beginner. When you inserted driver into cutoff switch, I think it was, to bypass, what do you find out by doing that? what does the numbers on that blue gauge mean?
On my same uei dl419 meter my dual temp will not read delta t correctly and when I have 2 sensors plugged in it starts reading crazy temps Time to send it back I have had it for two years and no problems until now
Why didn't you just run in the suction service valve? You would get your results much faster and could really tell if your suction reeds were top notch. Should pull down further than 6"
4" of vacuum is good???? It should be able to pull at least 14-16" of vacuum and hold that for just a minute or two unless your oil is saturated with refrigerant, even still after it drops down to say, 2", you push the contractor back in again and it should hold a decent vacuum, not 4"...or at least thats the way I was taught in college many years ago... maybe the standards have changed???
hvac01453 watch it again I pull my screw driver out of the psi switch at -6.7 it could have gone longer no problem. From there I could tell it was ok. Just a quick check officer.
it wouldn't be the valves in the compressor 1st if it has the ability to freeze back and 2nd if you don't hear them. Fix the major air leak on the door.
@@NorCal-refrigeration When you de iced the coil you wanted to pump the system down to see if valves were good. From what I thinkkk you pumped it down and seen the pressure climb just a little which you said was fine but then you bypass the low pressure control and sent it into a vacuum to truly see if it would truly hold
all the fancy tools are not going to tell you the def timer is bad,and you sucked air through the low side packing, because you ran in in vacuum.tin tirin.

Open door = bigger load/more humidity = compressor runs constantly because setpoint takes longer to reach if at all = iced up coil

I use a heat gun on evap coils. Some newer ones have a film on them the torch can damage

can you show the wiring electric from the contractor to the low pressure control.?power in /power out . where you connect it to.? and how do it work?

could be the k type probes, i have had the same issue and it was due to bad probes!

I was told it was bad to run the compressor in a vaccum?
