Multiple mega airports or major expansions are under construction right now in China. In merely 2 years, another mega airport, second only to Daxing, will open in Chengdu. This has little to do with 70th anniversary of PRC. China is simply building for the future.

Having the largest world class airport in the world, but most of the middle class mainland Chinese tourists having no class at all and for having the worst attitude in the world. hopefully they make beijing airport visitor friendly. I found hardly a single person who could speak english. staff was cold and rude. wifi that doesn't work as u require a different sim or somthing to make it work. temperature always too hot , enough to be uncomfortable and i heard is cold in winter. not enough places to eat. terminal 4 only had kfc / pizza hut. and some chinese places to eat but only kfc pizza hut was open. and they could not understand what we needed. Pizza hut gives u a form where u select what u neeed, but we just needed cheese pizza and it was not on the form so took about half hour to explain them. and every server ran away from our table because of language issue, finally a guy came and he tried to take our order. and god forbid if u have any cancellations / changes good luck explaining them. they have this massive airport but apparently no one can utilize all these services because of languauge barrier.
