Bij having Zaha Hadid and her team do the design of this new airport for Beijing they've put the bar even higher for the rest of the world! I always love to go the China because their airports are so much more beautifull and efficient.

The design of the terminal is based on the plan of French planner ADP Ingénierie, although they incorporated some features of Hadid’s plan into the final design. However, I actually preferred the original draft proposed by ADP. They had a super futuristic underground terminal design but got rejected because it was too unorthodox.

Weeks ago on a flight to Beijing at night, I was so shocked that my jaw fell off on my lap when I saw this bad-ass airport and a new-built highway connecting the main city.
2019 is our country’s 70th birthday, we love to have guests all around the world to visit China. I think it will be a great chance for everyone to learn China by using their own eyes and not from the media.
Then they should remove the ridiculously high visa fees and all the extras required to get a China visa. I would love to go to China but the process is just too much.

@@tzkwan4278 I am from Sweden though. The visa costs somewhere around $150 for us. And thats just to apply, not a guarantee to get it granted. Also they require a medical exam, and you can't have any mental disabilities. I understand that it is a bit fair to be equal, but I think its a bit complicated process.
TZ Kwan I applied for and got a Chinese visa less than 2 months ago and I must say that it was relatively easy to get the visa. Chinese citizens however must put $20,000 into a bank account untouchable while overseas, and even that doesn’t guarantee the visa, so it is not exactly “equal treatment”

However Xi has also fired about a million politicians due to signs of corruption which means that China is completely independent of any companys interessts. They have developed a streamline of construction process ready to do any job as long as the design is complete. They are very used to the process. Once design is done, tenders are offered, contractors hired, workers start working immediately. And they work full-time, on multiple construction sites simultaneously. So it's just what they are good at doing.

Something not mentioned in the video is that Beijing's new airport terminal is patterned after the iconaster longimanus starfish. I just happened to see a picture of it on Facebook yesterday and posted it to my page because it is so unique and beautiful. Google its name and view the images. You'll see that there's no doubt that the terminal's design was patterned after this particular starfish, which is found along the Western Pacific near and around China and beyond. You're welcome! :)
Here in Vancouver Canada, they came up with a 100 year plan to expand/rebuild a community area. Oh, just in this area, they spent 2 years installing an escalator in the skytrain station. Amazing isn't it?

They have developed a streamline of construction process ready to do any job as long as the design is complete. They are very used to the process. Once design is done, tenders are offered, contractors hired, workers start working immediately. And they work full-time, on multiple construction sites simultaneously. So it's just what they are good at doing.

In 2008 the Beijing International Airport was completed for the Beijing Olympics it was already the largest in the world and now it's even bigger for the 2022 Winter Olympics ! ...LoL
in 2008 they didn't build a new airport. they expanded the existing one with a new massive terminal 3

The narrator is mispronouncing the names. _Da_ (大) should be pronounced "dah" as in "Wanda" and _Beijing_ should be pronounced "bay-jing" as "jingle".

Something not mentioned in the video is that Beijing's new airport terminal is patterned after the iconaster longimanus starfish. I just happened to see a picture of it on Facebook yesterday and posted it to my page because it is so unique and beautiful. Google its name and view the images. You'll see that there's no doubt that the terminal's design was patterned after this particular starfish, which is found along the Western Pacific near and around China and beyond. You're welcome! :)

Here in Vancouver Canada, they came up with a 100 year plan to expand/rebuild a community area. Oh, just in this area, they spent 2 years installing an escalator in the skytrain station. Amazing isn't it?
