    • @WangBaiTe
      @WangBaiTe 5 лет назад +15

      Indeed! Just like all other recent airports in China (see Kunming as an other example), China has changed the way an airport looks from downright ugly to pieces of art! It’s actually not Zaha Hadid’s design. The design of the terminal is based on the plan of French planner ADP Ingénierie, although they incorporated some features of Hadid’s plan into the final design.
      However, I actually preferred the original draft proposed by ADP. They had a super futuristic underground terminal design but got rejected because it was too unorthodox.

      That's not the worst. California is spending close to $67 Billions on a highspeed rail connecting San Francisco and LA and yet not completed and nothing to show for after all these years. In fact, they demanding more money for the project. sf.curbed.com/2018/3/12/17110190/high-speed-rail-cost-money-bullet-train

I just happened to see a picture of it on Facebook yesterday and posted it to my page because it is so unique and beautiful. Google its name and view the images. You'll see that there's no doubt that the terminal's design was patterned after this particular starfish, which is found along the Western Pacific near and around China and beyond. You're welcome! :)
