Two Doppler methods to assess the severity of aortic regurgitation

Aortic regurgitation (AR) severity can be assessed by qualitative, semi-quantitative and quantitative methods. Like everything in echo, we tend to collect together a number of different clues before coming to a final diagnosis! In this video, we briefly discuss a colour Doppler method (regurgitant jet width) and a spectral Doppler method (pressure half-time) as two tools to add to your arsenal for assessing AR severity in your patients.
