This is a thing she NEEDS to see. She needs to see Sebastian who was as beautiful as his voice.
She needs to see those gorgeous golden locks of hair
He definitely was, but not so much anymore lol😂
@@wendydotson8891 Hence the WAS... lol. I try not to think of him now.
@@rowanmayfair9249 😂😂😂, did you ever watch him in Gilmore girls?
@@rowanmayfair9249 i know right ? Sad what happened to his appearance time was very cruel
Lost my wife 9 years ago and was homeless for 3 years so in a way I lived this song. This is what is called a power balled.
Hope your well my friend. I lost my lady in 2019 after 23 year relationship. I miss her.
@@timmorin2304 23 years together too
No, you NOT only lived this song . BUT, this WHAT this song is about !Feel so sorry for you , bud .
This is the definition of a “power ballad”!!
Bach is one of the great hard rock singers ever. Perhaps the greatest of his era. Crazy vocal range!
I would argue with that but it's all personal opinion... but Mike Patton blows ALL out the water with his 6 octaves. That's more than Axl, Bach... even Mariah Carey and her whistle note!
Lol
@@rowanmayfair9249 Amazing range but indeed not the widest of the club : Mike Patton and un whole bunch of others beat him in ths area of expertise ;)
... What's almost unique with Sebastian Bach though, was his nearly infinite energy, always at his maximum without any compromise
@@Renaud.Gloglo.Blasinski Yes, I believe that was called drugs, lmao. He was amazing. He just lost it all from frying his vocals and arrogance.
@@rowanmayfair9249 Yes defintely
You can hear this song hundreds of times, and every time it is just as powerful as the first time you heard it.
❤YESSSSS YESSSSSSSDSDSD YESSSSSSSSSSSSSDDD❤
One of the best rock voices ever...that last verse still raises the hairs on the back of my neck after all these years
One of, if not the, greatest rock and roll screams in music history!
ICONIC
So this a song from a relationship that Sebastian Bach had that unfortunately she passed away. Flawless song and singer is amazing!!!
I didn’t know that for sure but I thought so because of the way the video is.
@Wendy Dotson that was in the documentary on Skid Row I am a strong fan of Sebastian Bach and his life story. Knowing that his music was his life he had one person that support's his life and career that got him off the drugs and alcohol. Check out the documentary.
The song was written before Bach joined the band.
Bach, although an amazing singer, had zero to do with the lyrics.
Sebastian didn’t write the lyrics to any of the songs off this first album. With that being said, he still sang the shit out of them amazingly.
I was 15 when this came out, and it put this band into big time stardom. Around that time, we couldn't get enough of them. We were seriously spoiled with great music in the 1980's.
I was at that same age as well. We surely did have great music in the 80’s🤘🏻
This song still brings tears to my eyes. Skid Row was my very first concert at Aragon Ballroom in Chicago 1992.
What a great venue
I saw Alice in Chains there a year later
@@seanwright1749 I'm sure that was an amazing concert! When I saw Skid Row there Soundgarden opened up for them. Not bad for a first concert.
That show must've been amazing
Ya gotta see the official video. As Sebastian says on Hair Nation, “I put the hair in Hair Nation”. He had hair that every girl wanted and also the face 😘😘! Hubba Hubba 😍😍
Miss that era of rock...so many awesome songs ...this is one of the best!!!!!
We’re all beautiful on the outside when we have youth!
Baby girl was feeling it! Almost brought a tear to her eye.
The video will shed a whole new light. This is a song of heartbreaking loss.
I was 16 when their debut album came out and I bought it right away. I was learning how to play guitar and just had to learn all the songs on the album. Scotti's solo was amazing and no one knew what to make of the off-note squeal at the end of the solo but we absolutely loved it! This song was most people's introduction to Sebastian Bach and he had the best pipes in Hard Rock imo. My absolute favorites of theirs are Wasted Time, 18 and Life, I Remember You, Youth Gone Wild, and Sweet Little Sister.
3:19 Watch that feeling come onto her face😄. Could tell she liked the next lyric and was feeling it. It is beautiful and heartwarming. “You said ‘I love you, babe’” without a sound. We all know that look when we’re in a relationship with somebody. 👍🏻
He didn't watch the video bc he didn't want Dee seeing how hot Sebastian Bach is 🤣
😂😂😂
Sebastian Bach is rock vocal legend. I saw them open for Bon Jovi in 1989. Fun fact: he didn’t write these lyrics. Rachel Bolan and Dave Sabo wrote it. Sebastian was such a pro that he threw his soul out on these lyrics though. Please watch the video and/or live performances from back in the day for this track. Baz was pitchy sometimes but that’s because he was taking huge risks vocally. Legend. I love to see younger people appreciate how legit of a song this is too. Cheers to you both! ❤
The official video to the song describes what the song is about perfectly
Greatest rock singer from that era
He's reminiscing on the past with his current loved one.
My first concert ever was seeing Skid Row open up for Guns and Roses. Both bands were incredible, but one of the highlights was Sebastian Bach coming out when Guns and Roses was on and singing "You're Crazy" for them.
You will never hear a voice quite like his ever again.
Songs like this were referred to as "power ballads" back in the day!
Good ole 80’s power ballad, one of the best that came just as this era was over. First heard it in college 89 and it was a bright lights stunner.
Keep up the great work!
This one needed to be seen!
18 and life is a great one!
When he holds that note for the last time at the end Perfection at its best I get chills every time and im not that big of a fan of theirs
ditto to your comment
You know that someone is a great singer when they have also performed on Broadway. Sebastian Bach is amazing!
The ABSOLUTE BEST POWER BALLAD EVER!!!!!!! In my daughter’s words, it makes the geese stand up on my bumps😂❤😂❤
How good is this? Thanks for the reaction gang 🙂
80's had so many power ballads and this is one of the best!
This song tips me apart to this day. Now she's passed away. 40 years of marriage. ⚘🥰😭
Forgot how great this song is. Almost the best thing I heard this week. That was 🔥
Gotta see the video to this. Gives it even more feeling.
If that doesn’t hit you in the feels, you aren’t alive, Sebastian Bach drilled this song and is timeless as did the band..
This is one of those songs you should see the bad. In the video, it’s even better. Just be like water, don’t over think it, flow…let the good times roll, it’s how we did it in the 80s what’s missing today, everyone has to over analyses everything instead of just be in the moment and enjoy it, those are the times as fleeting as they are you never forget and you don’t need a iPhone to capture.🤘
Word up man. Preach. These kids today don't know shit...smh
Check out Wasted Time.
It's about Steven Adler (former drummer of Guns and Roses) and his addiction to heroin.
Mind blowing vocals.
Do the original video it's worth the watch.
I would definitely concur!
I second it!
That verse at the end when he screams "I never thought, I never thought you'd let it get this far..." raises the hairs on my body every time. Such an awesome song!!
You should do some slaughter as well. Mark slaughter has a voice almost as good as sebastian. Up all night, days gone by, hard to say goodbye, loaded gun, spend my life, and shout it out.
FLY TO THE ANGELS
@@ronparsons8786 I love this song too. I wanted to put songs that don't get used as much.
The lead singer, Sebastian Bach, now sings on Broadway. True fact. Awesome voice still.
I saw him in Jesus Christ Superstar years ago. He was absolutely fantastic.
one of the purest voices in rock and metal
1990 Skid Row opened for Aerosmith. I was 10 years old and it was my first concert. Went with my older brother and sister and all of their rocker friends. Scary and amazing at the same time.
Omg! I so would have loved to see that my favorite group is Aerosmith and I love skid row. My first concert was at 9 and it was whitesnake. Probably 91’ or 92’
i went to that concert. It was my senior year of high school. It was awesome
Hair Bands Rock!! Must watch Skid Row LIVE!! Sebastian is so beautiful to look at!!! And that voice!!!
Welcome to the world of the Power Ballad! 🤘❤️
This made 4th grade me cry lol. I loved Skid Row so much as a kid. Hope you check out the actual music videos. Youth Gone Wild, 18 and Life, and this one are all great ones. 18 and Life if you want to get in your feels.
One of my all time favorites
'I Remember You'. Written by Dave and bassist Rachel Bolan'
According to Snake. The song was written simply to stretch the song writing skills. See if they could.
It almost didn't make the album.
If you want the whole story look up
Story of Skid Row’s 1989 Power Ballad “I Remember You” W/ Co-Founder Dave Sabo | Professor of Rock
Professor of Rock is the youtuber name.
Sebastian is one of those rare voices that doesn't come around often
Yeah, you have to see Bach in this time period to truly get it. The whole package. The man had the voice, the look the charisma. God created the perfect frontman in him. Unfortunately, he couldn’t be perfect so God also made him the equivalent of an ADHD toddler on speed off stage which made hime extremely chaotic and hard to deal with, but hey, you can’t have everything. 😂😂😂
Now do Wasted Time by them…it was written about Steven Adler, the drummer for Guns N Roses and his heroin habit. That song absolutely guts me and arguably one of Bas’ greatest vocal performance, and that’s saying something.
Kinda like his buddy Axl put those two together and you got trouble
@@meliplay absofreakinglutely!
This was the 1st dance I had wife.
My wife's cousin played the song on asustic....
It was epic.
I understand that but this is a song that should be watched with video. Awesome. Maybe later???😊
Losing someone and letting them know you remember the love you shared before they passed.
He auditioned for a Broadway show and told the other people auditioning, “this is a singing part, you’re gonna lose’
Gotta watch the videos..it's an extension of the performers music. 👍
The smiles at the end says it all. Love this song. Loved your reactions.❤❤
18 and life, youth gone wild, monkey business, wasted time were some of their other hits.
If I remember right, this album was written and recorded for a while as they searched for a singer…Sebastian was who they found. And I think he’s still playing live shows to this day.
This song makes me cry for so many reasons....m
Man i was young when this one came out 1989 then i spent 3 years in prison for armed robbery here i am now 51 years young. Bless you all.
This album came out when I was in high school and this is one of those song that brings back so many memories from that time period. If you want to hear them get hard and heavy I suggest the song “Slave to the Grind”
I'm glad you do lyric videos. Back then videos were the idea of the video producers and editors and not the real vision or meaning of thr artists.
Everyone is trying to get the meaning of the videos instead of the vocals, instermentation , and meaning of the songs.
You guys do an excellent job. 👏
She died and he’s remembering her and all the moments they shared
I believe it’s a lost love and he’s recalling it from a happy perspective.
Big fan of this Album when it came out, "18 and Life" was the song of summer of '89 for me. I wish this band had better song writers or something after this album, it seems like they were full of talent but needed better material.
" woke up to the sound of pouring rain" the husband is homeless. " Washed away a dream of you" his pain from being collapsed is greater than even his wife dying now..." But nothing else could ever take you away" he still pushes everything in him to remember his passed away wife.... " Know that you'll always be my dream come true" tribute taking away the pain of his collapse... "Paint a picture of the days gone by... When love went blind and you would make me see.... I'd stare a lifetime into your eyes... ( Obvious heavy grieving) ... Anyway so that is it...i actually lost my wife, was a business owner, i collapsed and covid shut down my business and i ended up homeless for about four years. But really it wasn't covid fault. I was too crushed to carry on and was trying to commit suicide. But by the grace of God, I'm renting in a house and my finger nails no longer have dirt in them.
Baz got a voice on him❤️💋
This is my favourite song ever made and my favourite line is
Live for your smile and die for your kiss
So that smile on your face when you read it made me very happy.
Great song.
Bro was afraid to let his girl contemplate sebastian...lol
Awesome group! Awesome song!
I saw them open for Aerosmith at the Fabulous Forum in support of this album. Great, memorable performance.
Watch the actual MV! Sebastian Bach was gorgeous at that time!!!! Also, watch 18 and Life by them!!!
This is one of my favorite songs, I remember when it came out on MTV. If you haven't seen the video. It will fill in the blanks. But my take on the song/video is the lost of a true love.
I agree😊 Sebastian had a great voice the video is nice to see as well , good reaction ,God bless y’all and good vibes !❤️
He was a gorgeous man who challenged many mens sexuality!!
As earlier stated, you'd be well served by watching this bands video for this particular tune...truly amazing...Rock ON!!
Also, if they ever do 18 and life, they should do the video
Should of done the official video on this one Chod.
This song is in my list for best guitar solos, having thought and feeling relayed through the guitar!
1993, Summer, 18yrs old... playing this on a long country highway with my new girlfriend going to a state park in Idaho. Seems like a lifetime ago.
When ppl ask what do the lyrics pertain too. Think of the eye of the beholder and switch it too the ear of the beholder. No two ppl are the same and interpret it too what and how they want too make them feel about a person they knew or maybe even had a strong feeling for but were not allowed the same experiences.
Lol it's called a "Power Balled!"
He's doing his best Axl Rose impression.
Needed to watch the video.
Skid Row's videos always tell the story of the song very well. Check out the video to this and any other songs you check out.
I love the original line up of Skid row. It makes more sense if she sees Sebastian: he was as beautiful as his voice and made you relieve in the rock ballad
Needed to of seen official video brings out the song
All due respect man. Your wife is beautiful.
His lady-love died, he's reminiscing and mourning her.
Skid Row
18 And Life
You need to react to wasted time by skid row. The lead singer Sebastian Bach has the most amazing vocal range. Thier second album slave to the grind was the first metal album to debut at # 1 on the billboard chart. If you like wasted time try quick sand Jesus.
Saw them March 1990 opening for Aerosmith. Great band
Music video reaction waiting😁
I want her to see the music video so bad 😭
Man, i was hoping for official music video 😌
I take it she died, because he says they were there for each other through hard times good times through the endless days and nights, and through it all we kept the promise that we made. The biggest promise you can make in a relationship is marriage with the burning of the picture at the end sometimes and deaf people do that it’s too painful to see them specially, when you’re young and you lose them. To me, it was the love of his life. He also said nothing else could take you away only death can.
Should have done the video.. Dee would have melted.
We call these songs Power Ballads.
Watch the video. The song is about a homeless man who can’t forget about his ex girlfriend he once had before he became homeless. He still has her pictures in his pockets but he then burns them to try and forget about her
Try reacting to to official video of wasted time truly epic singing......and instruments 🔥
Great song ❤❤❤ reminds me of my college days and lost love....wish i had a 2nd chance
