Man this couple is very informed on that Roadtrek. As they sounded like they had been through the factory floor! The best investment I made first was having 4x six volt batteries rated at 250 AH each installed. As power is everything to me next to water. I also think that model has the 4500 watt generator from the engine itself. So the sound is up front. Not under your sleeping area.
hello, from a r.v.lady at heart ,but hubby is a full time Pastor,so we are stationery ,but when I found you folks ,I thought well here is my ticket to R.V. ,so let's roll, lol safe travels.😊🚐
Very beautiful dog! I like your Roadtrek too. I like the interior color. Hope you three have a great time traveling around the country. I enjoyed your video but it saddens me because I can't do it. Darn it!
omg..your dog and your vehicle are the same color..they are both beautiful. I'm not a mercedez benz guy but after looking at that XL...wow...and the thought of having a 7k towing capacity...is magnanimous! a washer and dryer would have been a nice addition although my motive would be for full time living...
GREAT VIDEO! This is a great idea and there are tons of people that agree with downsizing and living simple. I try to do the same in my CamperVan when traveling and I love it!
Great to discover you guys.. I bet you'll end up in a Leisure Travel Vans Unity Murphy bed! For That , you'd to give a little bit in "road behaviour" but gain tons of awesome space and livability ! I just add your podcast to my feed!
It's about about two feet longer than my 210P. I like the 210P, which has thousands of Chevy dealers and is wider. Yes, the XL has a larger refrigerator, but we have lived in the 210P for two weeks without getting groceries. We also like the extra exterior storage of the 210P and the smaller side door. Ever try to enter or exit a sprinter via the slide door in driving rain or in severe cold? In the rain, the inside gets wet. When very cold (and snowing) the interior gets cold and also gets wet. Good luck!
LOL, we just got a 24 year old Class B van conversion and it being our first camper we are just as happy as you guys are with your new RoadTrek! Yours is a fine machine, I'd be scared to find out the price of insurance though. :) Me, it's $147 per year. :D
Wow! It's beautiful and nice! I bought a Roadtrek last month and took it on one trip so far. I created a channel to vlog about my travels. I'm so excited to use it on the weekends and holidays. My Roadtrek is a 1993 210 Popular. Not as updated and beautiful as yours but it was certainly a good buy and I'm enjoying it. I am sure one day I will upgrade but before I spent too much money on a dream, I wanted to make sure I'd really use it. So far so good! I'm subscribing to your channel!
Very Nice Mike, Jen and Tai...good luck with the new rig...it sure looks very comfortable. Just one question... Ball park figure on the cost. Thanks. JH
This is a beautiful van. I only swish jn she had shown how the living area converts into the sleeping quarters. Aso wish he had shown the full bathroom, especially if there was a sink, toilet, and shower. He opened the bathroom door briefly and you only see the heater on the wall.
You made a comment about something I wrote 3 months ago. Since then, I have become aware of Erics scamming and didn't know where the messages I wrote, were so I could delete them. It has now been deleted. Live and learn, I never gave him a penny. Thank you.
We all make mistakes. Forgive yourself and let it go, or if you have cajones, ask him for the money back, since he's got a wad and see what he says and does. Lol. You have a good heart and don't stop being the kind man you are. : D
HI, I really wanna find out that From your experience your solar power is enough for all day boondocking? Like for how many days? Including using fridge and AC?
How does this compare to Pleasureway or Airstream products, I imagine similar price ranges, have you considered those companies when you made your purchase? I like that Pleasureway has been a great warranty of five years, which tells the consumer they believe in their Motorhomes. Ultramobility’s videos about Pleasureway has me leaning to that company but I’m keeping an open mind too about your choice. Thanks, Dave
Mike I must have past over this. I now realized you decided to turn your Etrek in and get the CS Adventurous. Can I ask what was the main reason you made the switch. I don't think your Etrek was a XL so I would place a great value on the extra 18" of storage. But they do make a Etrek XL so there must be some advantage you feel the CS had over the Etrek.
We have this same RV but are having problems with the heat. The floor gets warm but we didn't get it above 60 degrees when we went to northern minnesota last weekend and the outside temperature was 30 degrees. It is brand new and we are nervous about this problem. We stayed comfy sleeping in our RV super bag, but we are worried if the weather is really cold with winter camping. Any suggestions?
Mike, have you seen that the sprinter design will end up going full electric? Wondering if Roadtrek will build this as a solar-powered unit as well. insideevs.com/mercedes-benz-electrify-next-generation-sprinter-van/
Looks like a torte lawyer's dream. That extra storage dropped via electric? What happens when a trekker gets a finger stuck when they are raising it. In the video the demonstrator put her fingers in this while closing it. Wow!
Believe it or not, The Mercedes Sprinter is available in a 4 Wheel Drive version, :) www.caranddriver.com/reviews/2015-mercedes-benz-sprinter-4x4-first-drive-review
though this way one doesn't pay for the fancy high gloss paint scheme and it is low key with out screaming RV. The lithium batteries save weight vs marine lead type. 650 watts of solar panel help keep the boondocking available. Some I have seen seem, to always have the bed down which is poor use of space. This is a really nice unit.

You guys are the coolest retirees I've ever seen! Hope to be as hip when I'm retired! :)
It looks super sleek and expensive. But I enjoy watching several You tubers from the entire economic spectrum! Have fun out there!
Hi Mike & Jen, Great RV, I know you'll have a lot of fun with that. Good for you!
Great to discover you guys.. I bet you'll end up in a Leisure Travel Vans Unity Murphy bed! For That , you'd to give a little bit in "road behaviour" but gain tons of awesome space and livability ! I just add your podcast to my feed!
great review and walk thru Best of luck in your RV and thank you for posting!
Wow you guys are living the dream ! Btw i love your rv !

Great looking kids what a nice looking rig.
You both do such a great job on your video's. Love to watch. Are you both retired news reporters? Safe travels.
love your videos keep up the great job Ross and Heather
It's time to plan for my retirement. This is how I like to live it.
Very nice - happy trails. But I am very curious why you traded in your other Road Trek. Do you mind sharing the main reasons for the upgrade?

By the way, don't you think your comment to me was childish and rude? Especially to someone you don't know.
Joe & Irene Hitting the Road you are correct, and I'm sorry for that. I'm just so angry for being a fool. Take care...

Beautiful RV!
can i ask, was the price got from the RV show the lowest? Or relatively reasonable than others?

Very nice but expensive for the square footage you get...
Hi guys, where is the a/c unit on this model. Beautiful rig.
We have this same RV but are having problems with the heat. It is brand new and we are nervous about this problem. We stayed comfy sleeping in our RV super bag, but we are worried if the weather is really cold with winter camping. Any suggestions?
Perhaps the dealer could assist?
What a beautiful RV. How much does one of these go for if you don't mind me asking?
One like that would be $150 000' ish
Beautiful rig and dog! Is Tai an Akita?
Just echoing the question that John Hufnagel asked down there, .... what is the ballpark figure of how much was paid for this rv?
Oh and is there a reason why you guys did opt for the E-Trek Green Machine package?
Nice
Great!!
Hello what’s the mpg in this?
You have gotten the Airstream Grand Tour, it’s a thousand times nicer and unlike the Roadtrek it’s built in the U.S.A.
The Roadtrek is also made in the USA.
What about an electric sliding door?

LOL LOL
Nicely done but for the table in the back instead of a more comfortable bed. One skylight instead of the dumb windows. :/ And way over priced.
Believe it or not, The Mercedes Sprinter is available in a 4 Wheel Drive version, :)

no bathroom
Looks expensive!
Interior is cold and unfriendly, no thanks!
Overpriced.
Wow, everything is grey, inside and out...
Beautiful van...NOT!
