We're super excited to show you "MAJOR" and why we love our new home on wheels. We'll both be here to watch it with you and interact in the chat room a bit before and afterwards, answering questions and responding to your comments. At 7pm eastern sharp, it will play for the first time.
I am 60 and my DH, (darling husband) is 76. Would you say one of these larger vans are as easy to drive as a regular non extended size? My DH is the U-turn King....lol. Can you make a safe U-turn with one of these beauties? Thank you.
Thanks so much for putting this video together to share a tour of Major! I know it was tricky to find the right weather. So excited for you both in your new RV!
Congratulations on the "new" RV. Major looks awesome. We love the color and the latches on the doors. Hope to run into on the road. Would love to meet you and see MAJOR in person. Safe travels.
Finally an upscale RV with white cabinets! Beautiful guys lots of luck with the new RV. You do a great presentation! I love the layout ...design...and the Attention to detail.
I really enjoy watching you two. You're inspiring to me. My husband and I just bought our first travel trailer and we love it. We are both over 6 feet tall so headroom is super important. Your rig might not fit us, but for now we are ready to hit the road. I hope we run into y'all some day.
I know this is an older post but this coach looks really ideal for my solo 80% of full-time travel. I wonder how the new all black interior would work?
It’s beautiful, you’ve got all the bells and whistles and ALL THAT SOLAR...you’re set! I find the cabinet handles surprising though...have you caught your head on one yet? They really stick out. Hope we see you on the road!
Beautiful Roadtrek. I love the white interior, very modern and fresh looking. I have often wondered why most rv's are so dark. You have almost everything you need in a small space. I hope your puppy approves, lol
I'm so happy for you both. You look very pleased and excited for the new adventures. For my husband and I this would not work. I would dislike the extremely enclosed space, and he would hate the shower. He is actually 6'3" so he would literally be at the cap of ceiling availability, lol. Wishing you much happiness. Thank you for the tour. We can see what doesn't work for us. Although the sofa/bed was cool. But I am not sure if ut would be comfortable enough. Our research continues. The beauty of RVs, they fit differently for different people.
Thanks for the tour of your RV "MAJOR" Happy Trails & keep the rubber on the road and safe journeys . What breed is your little pup BO the other resident ? Is your coach a 4 season RV ?
That's what we are looking for to buy: spacious, NO propane, lithium batteries and solar panels plus induction burner. Thanks for the video. You guys keep having fun and adventure.
Honestly a very nice vehicle but I prefer the custom builds. These are more like a controlled environment thing feel. But I will say this if it works for you guys and you love it that’s all that matters!
The roadtrek interior never changes. It's just feels so cramped and cluttered. I had a roadtrek and when I decided to buy a Travato it was life changing how much more room there is and how open it is. Roadtrek is the king of technology and innovation except where the interior is concerned. Still same same old tired layout. When you are walking down the middle it literally looks like you are trapped in a narrow cave. Either way, enjoy your podcast and information
I agree with you - the cupboards and things look to be really deep, and therefore makes the walkway narrow and the rig look to be too cluttered. I was cringing when I saw it. I also agree that the Travato looks much better and roomier.
Such a great video! Made me miss my grandparents as I used to go camping with them. You all are a great couple and that dog is beautiful...maybe I'll see you in St. Louis.
A/C below? But cold air is heavy, I guess atlst you will have cold feet, hot air goes up cold air goes down...it will be awesome if instead off remote controlled storage going down it’ll be a TV and find a storage in other places :)
First, thank you for your complete walkthru. My wife and I do not yet have an RV, but have been thinking about getting one, since we're now retired. We have been considering Pleasure Way, but your new van looks enticing. I have a couple of questions for you. 1) Neil Balthaser at Ultramobility had a view in which he discussed diesel vs gas and in particular the issue of getting the proper diesel fuel, especially in the midwest. Has that been an issue for you? 2) Does your RV seem bright enough inside for you? Thanks for your answers, and for your videos.
We have driven diesels all across North America for more than six years now and have never had an issue of not being able to get proper fuel. It is okay to use biodiesel when that is all that is available. I interviewed a Mercedes spokesman and addressed this at length in one of my podcasts - roadtreking.xom/171 And with the new white interior, the interior is very bright.
Thank you for calling it a TOILET and not a CAMODE! Also regarding the heating system. How is is powered? Just with the 12V batteries? Same with the water heater? How long can you go before needing to start the Sprinter engine or is there a generator? Thanks.
Beautiful..glad to see the white interior available..hope other models also get that option soon. Do you find the extra length restricting you travel or parking options?
no... I usually find a spot at the back of parking lots where I can take two. But a single also works it there is some grass or room in front. I put the wheels at the end of the spot and the front or back hang over. It's just not a problem.
Really love the new van, especially with all that solar and the lithium ion battery bank! Since you didn't say anything about your new CS Adventurous being a 4x4, I'm going to guess that it is not. And I believe your last one was. Is there a reason you did not opt for that important feature this time? I must confess I'm not a fan of either the cabinet door latches (they stick out too far, and being metal, they seem a bit dangerous) or the front windshield and window covers. Roadtrek should opt for the "built-in" shades, that disappear into the sides of the windows when not in use. Last thought: while I very much like the design of your exterior van wrap, I said out loud to myself, "Oh, boy. No more stealth camping for them!" Hugs for Bo--he is gorgeous!
We were not big fans of a 4 x 4. First, we didn't need t. We mostly boondock in very remote and out of the way places and never needed that 4 x 4 capability, even in winter snowstorms. Secondly the 4 x 4 rides really rough. Bo wouldn't even go in the back. Third, instead of 17-18 mpg fuel economy, the 4 x 4 dropped it to 13-14 mpg
Geez, I can't keep up with you guys. I just noticed that it seems like you change out RV's ever 3 years or so. This one is gone and now you have a Leisure Travel Van. We are looking at an LTV, but wanted to know if you will be upping the ante to a Class C next. ??
Over on the top right you can enable a chat replay to see the conversation we had while we were on live... -- Thanks for joining us everyone! We answered some questions in the chat but feel free to ask questions here. Snap a photo of us if you spot us out in the wild and hashtag it with #MAJORroadtreking
So a bunch of questions. 1. How many miles did your old rv have in it? How come you decided to upgrade? 2. Do you think the undermount batteries and a/c unit will hold up being so close to the road and being exposed to sand, road spray, snow, and road salt? 3. What kind of generator does it have? Is it the engine generator? I’ve read over and over that mercadies does not certify their engines for longer than 30 minutes of idling. 4. I’d love to know the total cost of your new unit at the dealership.
I have answered almost all of these questions several times in the comments and replies below. Call 586-372-6990 and ask those questions on my voicemail and I can play your question and then answer it in depth on next week's podcast. But if you don't want to do that, scroll down through all the comments here and most will be answered. Or... tonight... tune in at 7PM eastern time tonight (Dec. 9) to our Ask Us Anything Live Stream here on the RV Lifestyle Channel. Ask your question in our live chat during the live stream and I can take a stab at answering then. It's much easier to answer your questions then to type replies . :-)
RV Lifestyle OK thanks. Most of what you just said is Greek to me. Know nothing about podcasts. Just barely manage this RUclips thing. No worries. I scrolled through the replies. Not a lot there I could find. But I’m probably doing something wrong. I guess I don’t need answers that bad.
love this one! Heated floors, AC underneath, mega solar panels plus, The secret storage area! I am concerned about those sharp eye level door latches though.
Best wishes on your travels in your new RV. We are also from Michigan and plan to buy our first travel trailer in a year or so when my husband retires. I have a few probably stupid newbie questions though and I'm hoping you two can help. Our first trip will probably be west to SD, WY, UT, AZ etc. Much of our time will be spent with a day or two here or there as we travel through to our desired location. If we stay somewhere without sewer for a few days then next to a full hookup, do we have to empty our black/grey tanks before we hook up at the full hookup or will it automatically drain as needed? Also, if we are on the road driving for lets say six hours to our next location, how do we keep our fridge working as we travel? Thanks and hoping you can give us some advise. Happy Holidays!
On a couple of your RV tours, you have mentioned that you are friends with several of the owners of the various RV companies. How did you choose RoadTrek over those companies? Are you connected to RoadTrek as well? I'm just curious what the various factors were in your decision making process.
OMG ,after everything Dean at Leasure did for you ,a Loner ,,the tour ,How did you end up with this and what was it that lead you to this ? PLEASE DO A COMPARISOM VIDEO for us ! Just sit there with a list of the reasons ! I do like the SOLAR .Power is very important to me .Is DEAN stil talking to you ? They are probably still getting out the DOG HAIR in the LONER ! TELL US IN DETAIL WHAT TURNED YOU AROUND !!!!!!!!!
Mark... LOL....look at the date of this video... Dec. 6, 2018. A little over a month later, Roadtrek went bankrupt and our Roadtrek unit was returned. Look at our more recent videos and you'll see that that surprise Dean said he had on us was the LTV Unity FX.... which we saw in Salt Lake City and bought on March 15. Our time with Roadtrek has ended and instead of a demo unit as we had with Roadtrek, we purchased this new one. This one we own, and we couldn't be happier. See our more recent videos to get caught up.
The graphic rap looks good. However there is something you may want to look into. Another RUclips RV channel removed all of their graphics. They where told that since the graphics where tied to part of their business / income that it could technically make their RV a commercial vehicle (rolling billboard). Subject to different insurance, registration and possibly needing DOT registration numbers. I hope its not true and you can keep the graphics without additional hassle, but I thought I would bring it up so you don’t get blind sided. Thanks for all of the content you guys put out. I really enjoy it.
What a beautiful van! Thanks for sharing.the under floor heating and cooling is simply brilliant! I'm a tall guy, how long is the bed? I assume you have a financial arrangement with Roadtrek?
I have a 2018 CS Adventures XL, I have been dealers and RT in Kitchener more than 50 times to fix many problems in last three years. GU belt broken ever 15,000 km so I spent around $ 800 in 60,000 km at local autoshop while I am traveling. I spent more than $ 20,000 for myself to fix after RT company bankruptcy for repairing. May be RT in Kitchener spent around $15,000 for warranty job for me before closed RT. They changed Alde Espar heaters 5 times in first year because white smog problem. I just spent $3,500- to change GU alternator and $650 to change Macerator motor in this year. I spent around $15,000- for upgrade because RT didn't insulate properly, I have installed extra heater and diesel Espar fuel system(RT never fixed white smog problem), insulation, extra Batteries solar panels, etc., But I love my baby.
Hi, I hope you can reply. Regarding your sleeping bags, any recommendations?? Checked your gear page but didn't find one. Getting on the road next week and still deciding on bedding. THANK YOU. Pat
Wow your new RV looks great and I like the wrap. Mike your healthy eating is working well, your weight loss is noticable. Keep up the good work. Remember lithiam batteries can't get too cold.
Excellent use of the now free space on the roof! That's how it SHOULD be nowadays, given people wanting to put more solar panels on thew roof (partly for more lengthy boon-docking stays)...but vents/AC are in the way = wasted real estate up there. I hope OTHER Class B makers follow suit. NOW...if Roadtrek can get the OTHER 2 items checked off the list -- AWD/4x4 AND 4-season -- I'd be looking at a Roadtrek for sure. I think I'd prefer a roof-rack mounting system for the panels though, to avoid putting holes in the roof (unless necessary). Plus, there'd be more airflow under the panels to keep them cooler. Whatever (TMK so far) nobody's listening except Winnebago and Coachmen re: the 4x4/AWD and 4-season. BTW, nothing wrong with "dry heat" in an RV -- that's exactly what you need to prevent condensation inside and the associated problems. Happy Travels in your new Roadtrek, - BR
The rooftop real estate is nice, but if you like to access unpaved gravel roads to get farther off the beaten path, kicking up all those rocks will be very hard on an under chassis unit over time, not to mention all the dust and debris that will bet sucked into it, being down so low. They are also MUCH more expensive than roof top units. You can still easily fit 500 watts of solar with a rooftop unit, even more with more efficient panels, so I'm not sure the bottom mounted system is worth the downsides.
Yes, Roadtrek has been putting in the undermount AC for some time now and they perform wonderfully... we do a ton of boondocking down gravel roads, national forest two tracks and we drive year round in slush and snow and dirt and mud and they have had no problems. None.

Hello! Consider calling your vehicle "MAJOR B" to highlight 1) Class B RV and 2) "Mike And Jen's Other Residence with Bo" (don't forget Bo)!
I am 60 and my DH, (darling husband) is 76. Would you say one of these larger vans are as easy to drive as a regular non extended size? My DH is the U-turn King....lol. Can you make a safe U-turn with one of these beauties? Thank you.
RV Lifestyle great video guys! Nice heated floor. Seems like you can don’t need to winterize the RV. The water tanks and lines are heated? Love Bo!
RV Lifestyle you guys are great. I know what ever I want now.
Those cabinet latches look perfect...for snagging your clothes or your head.
I thought the same thing...WAY too big.
Has not happened... though there's a first time for everything, I suppose :=)
He banged his head on it when the camera shot went from her to him inside.
Yeap, need to be aware of them, all the time😩
Clunk.... Mike didn't even know he hit hi head in the video at 6:48. This think this unit is great for a claustophobia....
Finally an upscale RV with white cabinets! Beautiful guys lots of luck with the new RV. You do a great presentation! I love the layout ...design...and the Attention to detail.
Thanks for sharing the new rig! We enjoy our Zion, but those heated floors look very tempting!🚐
I really enjoy watching you two. You're inspiring to me. My husband and I just bought our first travel trailer and we love it. We are both over 6 feet tall so headroom is super important. Your rig might not fit us, but for now we are ready to hit the road. I hope we run into y'all some day.

Bo is adorable and looks so sweet and well-loved! Happy traveling!
Nice review. We drove Roadtrek for 10 years. Loved it.
Congrats! This is fabulous! I love the Alde heat system, I have one. Just watch out for blown fuses. Congrats again on this beautiful van!
The Joy hangers from HSN are wonderful , very thin but strong , items do not slip off so easy .
WOW! Perfect! I want to buy it when you are ready for the next model. I'm going to start saving up now.
Beautiful Roadtrek. I love the white interior, very modern and fresh looking. I have often wondered why most rv's are so dark. You have almost everything you need in a small space.
I hope your puppy approves, lol
You guys are the cutest couple ever...😘💝💝💝
it beats sitting on a couch and growing old, good for you two!
My OCD wants to pull the plastic off the tv. I love it- great choice.
This is the first video I've ever seen of you two. You are both so cool! I love your wrap and your build. Love your enthusiasm! Subscribed. 😁
Thank you Gina!!!
I'm so happy for you both. You look very pleased and excited for the new adventures. For my husband and I this would not work. I would dislike the extremely enclosed space, and he would hate the shower. He is actually 6'3" so he would literally be at the cap of ceiling availability, lol.

Wow, Amazing -- looks like a great unit -- you're going to have a blast touring around in that baby!
Well guys your new RV is awesome!, I hope you make many happy memory’s in there, super excited to see we’re you get to on your first trip!. 😊🇬🇧
Thank you for promoting the Alde in-floor heat! I was looking for that exact solution and I was coming up empty.
Best of luck folks your channel is great. Plus fun times out in a rig like yours..and excellent video.
Thanks for posting, really like the under mount AC and radiant floor heat.
That's some couple! Have a great journey guys. Love your energy.
Loveit💕. It’s beautiful. Just a little question I’m wondering about. Do you need a special drivers license for this size and weight?
Super Nice!!&I know y'all will Enjoy it!!-Safe Travels!-🎅🎶🎄🎁
Have you had any problems with the floor heating system?
Does the class b use a basic gravity feed septic dump or a macerator pump septic system?
Love the new RV and graphics! Hope to see you on the road one day.
Mike and Jennifer major is awesome we hope that you get to enjoy it for several years Larry and Georgia
Guys i love your videos! You two are such an inspiration!
Awesome! Looking forward to your next journey. Hope Bo likes the new rig😊
Hi, Just passing by a thought I would pop in to say hello. Love your van fantastic and wish you happy travels to a nice couple. ATB Glen
It was very good latest van from the company with perfect living for 2 to 4 people i hope.i like it
You guys are so sweet, luv Major, beautiful dog - and lovely Roadtrek!!
Oh, I would like to take Bo on a hike in the Selkirks. Oh, yes I would. Oh, AND give him some good food for his tummy.
Very nice! Love your new RV. Really nice features!
You 3 are so cute! Hope to see y’all out on the road. 😀
Such a great video! Made me miss my grandparents as I used to go camping with them. You all are a great couple and that dog is beautiful...maybe I'll see you in St. Louis.
You two are so cute! You put a huge smile on my face! Thank you! Subscribed!
Do you have to worry about the batteries in the cold weather? Nice rig, love the quiet heat.
A/C below? But cold air is heavy, I guess atlst you will have cold feet, hot air goes up cold air goes down...it will be awesome if instead off remote controlled storage going down it’ll be a TV and find a storage in other places :)
Thank you for sharing. What does Bo think of his new home on wheels? Looks like you are ready for some great new adventures. Travel safely!!
Congratulations on your beautiful new home!
Congratulations! Nice wrap.
Hey Robert. How have you been?? Thanks for the nice words. Will you be in Tampa for the show? If so, let’s connect!! Merry Christmas!!!
@@RVLifestyle Not this year. Heading out west soon.
Sweet rig. Hope Bo gets used to it. Safe and wonderful travels.

I love it! Absolutely beautiful RV!
Love the new rv, and love seeing Bo😀
Fabulous! At 24'3" is it quite a big longer than your old RV? Great new technology and features!
love it here. You don't gotta put on your coat to go to the bathroom, and your house is always parked in the same place!
Really love the new van, especially with all that solar and the lithium ion battery bank! Since you didn't say anything about your new CS Adventurous being a 4x4, I'm going to guess that it is not. Can you please tell me where you got that bigger bathroom caddy suction mount holder above the sink? Please pretty please! I need one for my class B.
They moved by this rig and got a pleasure way. I wonder why?
Is the floor heat the only heat in the coach, or does it also have forced air heated with the same diesel hydronic system?
Looks Great! Congratulations and enjoy!
Thanks

Awesome van. Wow 1.6 KW of lithium. Kudos to Roadtrek in Kitchener, Ontario. We did the plant tour.
Wow, beautiful rolling ranch! Safe travels
Omg u guys put the AC away from the top. With the solar needs, I also thought they should move it elsewhere 👍
Awesome love it
Do you like this camper better than the Unity FX?
So a bunch of questions.
1. How many miles did your old rv have in it? How come you decided to upgrade?
2. Do you think the undermount batteries and a/c unit will hold up being so close to the road and being exposed to sand, road spray, snow, and road salt?

Really nice RV! Thanks for showing it to us. Is it a four season RV?
love this one! Heated floors, AC underneath, mega solar panels plus, The secret storage area! I am concerned about those sharp eye level door latches though.
No problem with the latches so far

Jennifer talked about the interior height being 6'3". Is the height in the bathroom 6'3" also?
I have a 2018 CS Adventures XL,
I have been dealers and RT in Kitchener more than 50 times to fix many problems in last three years.
I spent around $15,000- for upgrade because RT didn't insulate properly, I have installed extra heater and diesel Espar fuel system(RT never fixed white smog problem), insulation, extra Batteries solar panels, etc.,
But I love my baby.
Looking forward to seeing how it is equipped.
Hi, I hope you can reply. Regarding your sleeping bags, any recommendations?? Checked your gear page but didn't find one. Getting on the road next week and still deciding on bedding. THANK YOU. Pat
Rvsuper bags
I like your sleeping system. What brand of sleeping bags do you use?
It's called the RV Superbag
Have fun with "MAJOR", live life and love it!
In just a little over 2 months you’ve gone from Roadtrek to Pleasure-way????
Roadtrek has gone bankrupt
Wow your new RV looks great and I like the wrap. Mike your healthy eating is working well, your weight loss is noticable. Keep up the good work. Remember lithiam batteries can't get too cold.
What about flood zones wouldn't that ruin the batteries ?
Happy Travels in your new Roadtrek,
- BR
None.
Love your new RV
