Holy crap. What a nice cover! I know Yngwie has gotten a lot of "hate" on his late years for just shredding, but forreal tho. The melodies and the feeling he has on that album and particular this song, is really captivating.
The hatred comes down to jealously. They simply cannot play it, never in their lifetimes even with constant practice. Or perhaps even worse, they can't comprehend it, and see it as just "shredding". Yngwie the person is an ass, but so what? No reason to hate his music. Imagine you are him at 16, you've invented a unique sound never heard before, and have technical ability beyond most guitarists that ever lived. Surely an ego will come with that. Perhaps he is slightly autistic and doesn't know to keep his lousy personality in check in front of others.
I remember seeing a cassette of “Marching Out” in a record store shortly after it was released in 1985. I couldn’t even pronounce his first name at the time, but the album cover just looked wicked! Little did I realize what awaited me when I pressed “play”!!! 😳🤣😂😎 Unbelievable cover!!!! 🎸
You got some tight chops bro! Really smooth and your fingers are really relaxed I can tell, sounds killer! Yea hope you don't mind but I'm going to study this off your playing as I want to learn at least the main riffs and most of it I'll probably improvise on some of it!
