    It's such an incredible device! RUclips compression doing a real number on the footage with scanlines though. Seeing the RT4K in person on a OLED is a sight to behold! I have barely scratched the surface on mine!

    keep it mind for those who are searchjng the s video cables. They're not all equal, and some of it are bad and it would include the soap effect due to poor shielding manufacturing.
    just to make sure a branded or even like mods branded cables.

    I thought mike chi said you have to enable hdr when using scanlines because it will brighten the image.

      @FairyKid64  5 месяцев назад

      Yes - that could be good depending on how your TV handles HDR. I can't speak for all 4K TVs, but at least this one, SDR looks way brighter and more colorful than HDR. I've heard other RUclipsrs give this opinion as well for different branded TVs. But in theory, yes, you're right - HDR should be better for the RT4K. But I'll have to test it more and see if I can figure out why HDR is looking so bad for me. 😊

      Are you sure your settings are the same between game mode sdr and game mode hdr. @FairyKid64

    What is the size of your TV and how large is the N64 image across it? Also, have you tried Zelda OOT? On my Retrotink 5x Pro it looks too blurry no matter what I do. I have a 4K 55" Sony flatscreen and wondering if upscaling Zelda OOT to 4K gets rid of some of the blur. The RT 4K has a deblur option too right? How does that look?

    Question are you going to get burn in from playing on a oled because of black side bars Sony oleds are more well know for that ?

    • @FairyKid64
      @FairyKid64  3 месяца назад +1

      No, it's very unlikely. Especially because I don't just play one game exclusively via the RT 4K on it. In order to get burn in, I'd probably have to leave the same game on for several weeks or months 24/7. But even then, the Sony OLEDs have pixel refresh and shift features that help to prevent burn in. Especially where I also use this TV for movies and modern games that take up the whole screen, there really isn't hardly any risk. But if I do ever notice anything, I'll be sure to make a video on it. 👍

    Whats your favorite SDR with scanlines profile so far?

    • @FairyKid64
      @FairyKid64  2 месяца назад +1

      So, I actually don't use the default profiles any more. I've gotten pretty good at making my own profiles I like. I'll try to make another video showing it since there's a lot of steps. 😂

      @@FairyKid64 I'm looking forward to it. I've also been trying to create my own profiles. I have a PVM I try and compare too. I'm fairly happy with the results but I'm always tweaking the image to see what looks better.

    why scanlines, yuk! :)

    • @FairyKid64

      Lol I get where you're coming from! I like them because they smooth out the entire image and make it look like a CRT TV. But I also have a friend who doesn't like them either and prefers to just see the raw, sharp pixels! The good thing is that the RetroTINK 4K is great for both scenarios! 😊

      In my opinion scanlines are an absolute must for the N64.
