The thing that bugs me a lot is when they ejected a round to inspect and just casually putting that round back into the chamber while the magazine tube still has rounds in it. Which should have been pushed up to the chamber after the ejection
Johnathan forgot to mention that if you do a cowboy reload like that with the smith & Wesson 500 it’ll be the last time you reload it because the weight of the cylinder slamming into the cylinder stop bar will snap it off.

On a Marlin '95 the opening of the action does two things, ejects the empty and loads the next cartridge onto the elevator. So if you eject a live round and try to dump it back into the barrel the next round smacks squarely into it when the lever goes back up unless the magazine is empty that is.
The standalone AR-57 upper for a normal AR lower is very real, and was available on the civilian market until production stopped around 2018. The receiver runs the factory stock P-90 mag on top, and ejects out the magwell of the AR lower. Some people have sourced metal 30 round mags, bent the feed lips straight, and used them as a brass catcher. They retailed for around $750 USD just for the upper by itself. There was also a fully built rifle in the $1100 to $1300 range.
@@verakoo6187 Excellent, good to know someone else made one. Unfortunately it's currently listed as Out of Stock. I wonder if they bought out the original design or just reverse engineered something themselves. Now I want the .44 Magnum and .357 Magnum AR uppers to come back from the dead. They disappeared just before the popularity boom of the AR.
I feel most guns in this game are on the edge of cursed. It is nowhere near as awefull as the previous game but I do kit out the weapons agains my liking just for those weird bonusses. Take for example the laser, it apparently makes you run faster.
Benelli M4: for anyone who doesn't know, that's supposed to be a SilencerCo Salvo 12. SilencerCo used that same shape for the Osprey, a silencer game devs usually use on Vectors in the 'upside position' ti match the body of the gun. SilencerCo rates the silencer at 141 dB and 136 dB in the short and long configurations, respectively. Which basically means the gun is almost exactly hearing safe, which frankly on a shotgun is better than anyone expects.
Can someone at GamesSpot point out to Jonathan that IW weren’t allowed to use the official designs and trademarks of the firearms because of the California law that was passed this year
I don't like to see that Marlin all tacticool-ized like that but visually the model is beautiful. The finish on the receiver just looks so good. I wonder what Jonathan thinks of wood furniture conversions for MP5s (usually a cut-down version of a kit for a G3)
I hope for the next video you guys show him both the base weapon and maybe a vsriant/fast hands reload? Might be interesting since occasionally in other videos you've done it there.
There is another belt-fed AR upper called the Fightlite MCR, which, I'm not sure if its the same, but you can dual feed with it, allowing the use of normal AR mags with it, much like some versions of the M249 SAW.
for the "500" dual wield, devils advocate there could be custom belt mounted speed loaders which could be open bottom/top retained which release via the cylinder pressing against them
I think we need a Emotional Support Sturmgewehr (E.S.StG) shirt to be made. The silhouette of a man hugging/leaning into a slightly more pronounced and detailed StG with his head hanging low.
Considering they changed the names of all these guns in the game implies they don't have the rights to use them.. which makes me think that a lot of these differences from the real guns are on purpose to avoid lawsuits.. still great video
The sight rail on the 74U would make it an AKS-74UN The "S" refers to it being foldable. The "U" refers to it being shortened. The N refers to the dovetail mount, originally used to fit night-vision sights. The reload technique used is referred to as an Iraqi reload. Presumably they invented it?

Some people have sourced metal 30 round mags, bent the feed lips straight, and used them as a brass catcher. They retailed for around $750 USD just for the upper by itself. There was also a fully built rifle in the $1100 to $1300 range.
They are still in the civillian market. PSA just released one called the Panzer a few month ago
I was hoping we'd get this video soon. A part would be sick as well! I never get tired of Johnathan lol 👍❤

I feel most guns in this game are on the edge of cursed. It is nowhere near as awefull as the previous game but I do kit out the weapons agains my liking just for those weird bonusses. Take for example the laser, it apparently makes you run faster.
“That’s not a gun. It’s a lynx. in whatever form it and chooses to be in.”

That AR10 variant you guys have is awesome. Never seen that before and never thought I would
You can tell this guy has spent way more time looking at and reading about guns than actually shooting. Love his videos still
Benelli M4: for anyone who doesn't know, that's supposed to be a SilencerCo Salvo 12.
Can someone at GamesSpot point out to Jonathan that IW weren’t allowed to use the official designs and trademarks of the firearms because of the California law that was passed this year
I got a Marlin 1895 SBL, it is indeed able to do that, it usually shoots em out to the side more though. Fun rifle.
I do believe you can get revolvers in .410, which would explain why rhe "snake shot" is so stupidly powerful on the twin Basilisks.
The Taurus judge to name one, it’s chambered for .410 and 45 Colt
Thought that I was the only one who thought that the MW2 2022 MP5 looked exceedingly weird, glad Jonathan thought so too.
He needs to do more mw2 guns. He has to, there is no other way.
But for real, great videos! Jonathan is great!
Every time a new shooter game comes out i await Johns review of the firearms
I would actually love to see him react to the in-game customization menu itself and all of the different options.
I don't like to see that Marlin all tacticool-ized like that but visually the model is beautiful. The finish on the receiver just looks so good.
I wonder what Jonathan thinks of wood furniture conversions for MP5s (usually a cut-down version of a kit for a G3)
Same as wood for ARs - mixed feelings. It can look nice, but part of my brain rejects it :)
I hope for the next video you guys show him both the base weapon and maybe a vsriant/fast hands reload? Might be interesting since occasionally in other videos you've done it there.

Can't wait until friday.....
I'll get off work an immediately start playing again.
There is another belt-fed AR upper called the Fightlite MCR, which, I'm not sure if its the same, but you can dual feed with it, allowing the use of normal AR mags with it, much like some versions of the M249 SAW.
the ar57 reuses the magwell as the ejection port and you can use an empty ar magazine without the spring and follower as a brass collector.
8:29 Always love to hear a Holy Grail reference where I don’t expect it :D
for the "500" dual wield, devils advocate there could be custom belt mounted speed loaders which could be open bottom/top retained which release via the cylinder pressing against them

They show this dude the weirdest guns you can make
I wanna see jonathan do a cursed gun images with brandon herrera
Jonathan should take a look at the guns of the Metal Gear Solid games, especially MGSV with its weapon customization system.
Could you imagine him having to react to something like an AKS-74UwU
Its so cool to see Doctor Who found something to do after his role in that show ended. Go Peter Capaldi! Keep talking about your passions!
I think we need a Emotional Support Sturmgewehr (E.S.StG) shirt to be made. The silhouette of a man hugging/leaning into a slightly more pronounced and detailed StG with his head hanging low.
I would never thought I would hear a reference to spooks or mi-5 in the USA...one of my favorite tv shows In this video
Considering they changed the names of all these guns in the game implies they don't have the rights to use them.. which makes me think that a lot of these differences from the real guns are on purpose to avoid lawsuits.. still great video
The sight rail on the 74U would make it an AKS-74UN
The "S" refers to it being foldable. The "U" refers to it being shortened. The N refers to the dovetail mount, originally used to fit night-vision sights.
The reload technique used is referred to as an Iraqi reload. Presumably they invented it?
Guess when you can’t afford a bolt catch you get a bit creative
@@Dawn.tless. They were taught to do this because of differences in tolerances of magazines. Some wouldn't seat properly if the bolt was in battery. Pretty clever way of solving a problem
@@Dawn.tless. a bolt catch would cost a microscopic amount
Player: *installs suppressor on shotgun*
John: "He's out of line...but he's right "
i have never questioned this guys gun knowledge... until he said the "hold bolt" reload for ak's series firearms was uncommon and he hadnt seen it prior

Surprised he didn't talk about how during the super-90 showcase the player puts a shell into the chamber when there should already be one in it.
It'd be nice to see Jonathan break down the weapons of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series, for me, specifically, I'd like to see him take a go at the Gunslinger mod for the third game in the series; Call of Pripyat.
I think it'd be pretty cool if Johnathan could look at the firearms that firearms officers carry.
I also noticed that the rounds are actually different when you add armor piercing or other ammunition.
12:45 Wowzers, he's spinning them revolvers faster than T.J. Lazer in Robocop.
