- after being hit with this shocker towards the end of act 4 chapter 1, i had to go back and see what would happen if you saved the other one. how or if the cutscenes would change.
talk about controversial, but i think they made it clear who wouldnt be continuing their journey in gears of war 6, when and if they continue the series.

Some game journalist did an April fools prank this year stating that the JD death is canon. I nearly got my pitchfork out that day not realising what the day was.

Made the same choice, i like del more, but i just couldnt do that to marcus, hed been through enough as it is.
@@DumaVadamee109 the different cut scenes seem to lead more to the death of JD… a lot more dramatic.

I think JD surviving is canon cuz Marcus lost Dom and now JD lost Del.
@@oceannova6976 that would make sense… or they’re gonna pile it all on Marcus. With the concept of “he can handle it” and then he’ll go down swinging like his old man in Gears of War 3 since he has nothing left to live for.
