    My son has Crohn's and had to have an operation where he needed an ileostomy bag temporarily.
    This video helped a frustrated dad give his son better care. Sincerely, thanks!

    Wondering why there is no mention of Imodium for those with higher output.

      Hey Jim! Thank you for watching. I’m a dietitian, not a doctor. So, I try to limit my discussions to nutrition therapy. Imodium is a medication, which I do my best to avoid as it would be outside my scope of practice.

    🤔👀 I have found out that if you saute your vegetables onions garlic Bell pepper peppers saute them down to Al dente just enough to release the gases and you're fine you can enjoy that nutrient do not overcook them or boil them allow them to steam more nutrient value if you steam them but never for too long just enough to release the gases and you're good to go and more energy yes ❤️😘✨😀

    Wait why is fatty tough meats part of that?

    • @clinicalnutritionuniversity
      @clinicalnutritionuniversity  Год назад +1

      Many of my patients find that high fat foods - particularly fatty meats and fried foods - increase their output. Tough meats are specified because they are more difficult to break down into small pieces and are therefore more likely to contribute to the clogging of an ileostomy.

    The upside of ileostomy is that there’s almost no odor. Fermentation and bacterial growth happens in the colon, not the ileum.

      Nope. Ileostomates frequently use pouch deodorisers.

    Your video is very informative but you need to avoid the sing -song rhythm when speaking. It’s distracting and monotonous and detracts from the valuable content you are sharing.

      I know my voice isn’t very good and I’m reminded of that a few times per week from comments like this. I’m trying to get better.

    🤔👀 also the M9 odor remover drop diluted with water in a spray bottle works amazingly with airborne odors in different things of light soiled carpet with the pets my little newborn puppies before I potty trained them wow it works amazing yes also the disposable puppy pads for those puppies if you keep them locked on it within their first week or so they will automatically go back and use them yes very small just learning how to walk puppies potty train I do it all the time that M9 diluted with water in a spray bottle it is the best odor control 🧏🏾‍♂️
