Hi, thanks for the video. Why did you decide against the genetic testing the Alicante clinic were recommending? Was it cost/science/simply trust for and rapport with Dr?
I’m thinking of making a full video on this but basically I didn’t feel we were at that point yet. We have trouble getting our embryos to day 5, out of 17 eggs we’ve only had one incredibly poor quality embryo make it to day 5, and to do the embryo biopsies we need it to be at day 5, so for now it made more sense to me to focus on getting embryos to day 5 and then if we need to test later on we can. PGT-A which the doctor had suggested is also red on the HFEA traffic light system, so it doesn’t have that much evidence to prove it’s effectiveness. In all honesty the genetic testing talk scared me and I didn’t feel I was ready for it, and I just went with the gut feeling all in all xx
@@AmberIzzo I see. I didn't know you had to get to day 5 for the genetic testing so that makes sense now. It probably also adds a whole layer of stress. Have you listened to the For Trying Out Loud podcast? They talk a lot about embryo quality/genetic testing and they're just great to listen to.
