Nice. And yeah, they have a backing for lenses with a 134mm diameter. I prefer the rola polas because they just work. I’ve had a matte box with the rotating trays and that shit was just cumbersome. Nice vid!

Is there any way to remove stages and condense it for a lighter, slimmer approach? Or must it always have the 3 filter trays in it at once?

It's not collapsible. It's always has 3 stages. Bright Tangerine does have a MB that can be 2 or 3 stages but it's much higher in price.

How heavy is the matte box? I also have Leica R lenses and I’m worried that it’s too heavy for gimbal work

What gimbal and camera are you using? I dont know the exact weight but I did have to switch my EF mount adapter to the Metabones cinelock EF adapter because my nucleus motor would rotate the lens in the mount and caused an image shift. With the new adapter it holds steady with no image shift.

Personally, I haven't had any issues. It fits in the filter tray just fine and the POLA freely spins.
