Years ago when I did landscaping at our local college, we used Toro zero turn mowers. Like a lot of parts, Toro didn't actually make the deck belt idler pulley (the way that it was designed, the grease fitting would never lubricate it correctly). It like a lot of other parts on the mower were used by other big commercial mower manufacturers. I believe that the part was made in Wisconsin, but the main guts of it, the bearing (which would be the component that would wear out) was made in Canada. The manufacturer, still making these parts in Wisconsin, switched to Chinese made bearings. Of course the part itself was still expensive but now it wore out in months instead of years. As a result my supervisor decided to just buy the Chinese knock off and save the money.

I liked your bed also. If I got down on that soft cushion, I'd probably fall asleep. I'm going to have to do some research and find out what TSC did to make you mad. Until the US can learn to make things without costing an arm and a leg, I can't buy things unless they are made elsewhere. Like the video.

@burntchurch They are looking at it as a money-making situation. It's not going away. That's what China is looking at. They can make things cheaper than the US. If your man gets back in there in November, we'll be buying from Putin.

Those bearings are made by McGill I believe. They are designed to take the cantilever weight of the sawmill. Other brands use smaller roller bearings the will wear out very quickly because they cant handle the weight. Stay with what Wood-Mizer uses when they built it.

You are right I think we will stay with what woodmizer recommends
