Yes, Malenia's arm rotted away, so did her whole leg, and a part of her other leg - her eyes did too, likely one of the first things that rotted away seeing as the rot seems to act like a very aggressive fungus.
It makes her seem so... badass in my eyes. Like she is rotting away and is still so tough. I love her character.
Malenia connects and disconnects her sword from her arm for different moves when she fights you. You can hear the sound each time she does it.
Dang! I thought it was just a little hiccup in continuity but that's so cool that there is even a sound for it coming off!
Kenneth height quest is actually a really worthwhile quest line because finishing it correctly gets you two ancient dragon smithing stones he eventually goes to the throne room in stormveil
Was about to post the same thing, yeah.
Oh man I actually knew that but totally forgot! I think I spent 100+ hours of game play checking back in with him while he just stood there and that is what cemented in my mind. I did eventually get him to Stormveil. I think I killed Gostoc already so I did not get the 2nd stone. Thanks for the reminder!
The big mechanical women that you asked about are made in the Volcano Manor with Rykard. They're basically a bunch of snakes piloting a mech.
That explanation is both ridiculous and amazing at the same time.
NAHHHH MARIKA GOT THEM HIVs
After you defeat Malenia, the game says "DEMIGOD FELLED". suggesting that malenia even tho her title is Goddess of Rot is not yet the reincarnated Outer God of Rot. meanwhile after defeating Elden Beast. it says "GOD SLAIN" since elden beast is a direct vessel of an outer God.
Millicent is a clone/shard of Malenia. She represents Malenia's dignity, sense of self and pride which Malenia lost after her first bloom. Millicent's goal is to give back the unalloyed gold needle to Malenia, which is moist with Millicent's dew containing Malenia's dignity, sense of self and pride.
Interesting. Does this mean, post bloom, Malenia is lacking dignity, sense of self, and pride, or is Millicent just a clone/shard of those things while Malenia still retained them?
@@kabvrv It means post bloom, Malenia is lacking her dignity, sense of self and pride, she doesn't retain them. All of those three important things that allowed Malenia to resist the scarlet rot, are now in Millicent who is a clone/shard of Malenia born from the Swamp of Aeonia created by Malenia's scarlet rot bloom.
kennyths story line takes invesment and caution, and its tied too gideons daughter but basically theres a few things you gotta do to bring that storyline to an end
I think I was actually subscriber number 200. Dope, at least that's the lore I am going with. Congrats on the milestone.
You were! You win more videos, a few times per week! 😅
Something tells me that the niddle is inserted into the eye. Eyes are pretty significant in elden ring. Golden grace can be seen in the eyes of enemies and bosses, flame of frenzy burns your eyes and has big connections to irl disease or parasite that infects the eyes
I'm referencing the video by Tarnished Archaeologist "Shabriri is actually a thing", which explores this connection with real disease
😳 Ya, I need to check out the Tarnished Archaeologist vids.
I understood Malenia's story, millicent and sisters
As something just starting and it coincides with Miquella's plan maybe
Malenia's First bloom was with Radahn
Were she abounded her dignity,Sense of self, Will, Pride
And in that moment she Created 5 daughters
Each holding a piece of her literally (dignity sense of self will pride)
And
They are supposed to die part of Maleina's plan
She removes her cores so the Rot god takes over
But when she becomes a Goddess
The sister return what was hers
And Malenia controls the Rot god Not the other way around
Basically its a trap
The rot god was destroying her body (dignity)
took her sight (sense of self)
took her capability to fight (will)
Took her ability to live (pride)
To have complete control over malenia by destroying "her"
But Malenia's daughters where born of her core's
And when malenia gets killed again
She will ascend to full Goddess status
But it will be the rot god in control
But millicent and her sisters will be reborn with her
Return malenia's cores
And trap the rot god deep inside herself the sisters remain deep inside of Malenia to subdue the Rot god
Allowing Malenia to complete control the Rot
And millicent is the odd one out
To serve as a Valkyrie at malenia's side
Or its opposite millicent stays inside And becomes apart of Malenia keeping the Rot god Subdued
And the sisters (who are pieces of malenia) serve at her side as Valkyries
Either way i think is is part of Miquella's plan to trap the rot god in the lands between to kill it
And save his sister
Because all He could do is stop it from affecting malenia
Because it was in the outer world not in the lands between
Maybe the final needle can completely Erase the Rot god
Wow thanks for all the detail. I hope this is something that is explored more in the DLC. Clearly it will be related to Miquella so this story would fit right in.
I like the idea of the sisters all being parts of Malenia.
Fun fact : the names of the two famous underground rivers, Siofra and Ainsel are folktale/fairy names that mean different things in Irish and Scottish folklore. Siofra means "Elf" or "Changeling" and is a feminine name in irish folklore. Ainsel means "My own self" and is a fairy name. It is told that both names Siofra and Ainsel have similar origins. 😯
That is a fun fact! 😃
When I think about it how long does it take for the star to hit the ground after you kill Radahn what a few seconds that means that star was moving super fast and well it stopped doesn't lean the planet stopped it was going for seliea but after sooo much time has passed of course it missed
Like most things I say in these videos, I have just a second to think about it before talking. After putting some thought into it, and assuming the lands between is Earth-ish... even if the stars are stopped for just a second that would be like thousands of miles of distance traveled for the planet. It seems that it is definitely NOT the same rock that hits. This then makes me question why does Radahn keep the stars locked for all that time. He could have just slowed them up for a second and accomplished the same thing. It makes me think there is a link to some sort of fate that he was stopping and not just saving Sellia.
I think the reason why Malenia didn't Kill Godrick was probably because of her pride, why should she keep wasting her time on a insect like him? He probably found a chance to run for it and she just left it at that.
I like your critical thinking and how you actively question everything. A lot of creators just react to everything with “ah that makes sense” when it really doesn’t. Good stuff 👍
Wow I really appreciate that comment. Maybe I'm too hard on myself because I think my reaction vids have plenty "ah that makes sense" in them. 🙃 Always trying to improve!
pls you have to watch the prepare to cry age of the stars, its the story of Ranni and for me, it is the best story in elden ring beside Miquella's mystery.
It's on the list. I promise I will definitely get to it!
44:30 - you're thinking too literally. There is a chance this world is seperated from reality in such a way that space and the stars don't function the way things do in real life, and the Lands Between are somehow "separate" from other places. This is the place the Outer Gods wants to influence, not the Badlands, not the Land of Reeds, not Eochaid, but the Lands Between. Maybe those places also aren't really a on a "planet" the way things are irl, yet the Lands Between are somehow special.
Another thing to consider is that while the moons (there are at least two in the Lands Between) are clearly different from the stars, they might not be separated when it comes to movement. Though, no where is it stated that the moons stopped moving when the stars did, so who knows?
48:16 - in order for Miquella to become a true god, Malenia can't become one herself, and she's pretty into the idea of him becoming a god, not herself, meaning this idea can't work, at least with the lore as it is, maybe dlc will shed light on it and somehow prove this idea true.
I often think too literally in fantasy. I love the idea of things being rooted in science, or some reality. The Tarnished Archeologist videos I reacted to were some of my favorite for just this reason.
