Ima fan of your channel. Loved "Even If". Been decades long listenin to Eminem. I'm a grateful recovering codeine addict. Darkness ...I cried. A small observation. Em references prescription drugs in all 4 songs I've listened to. Praying he will get back to recovery . Thanks for doing this, young brother.
get back to recovery? As in the album or recovering from drugs? He's been sober for 12 years,he's using the prescription drugs in songs as a way to expose the issue of our government drug dealer doctors prescribing so many drugs to so many people making them drug addicted zombies. Props to you for getting off codeine,it's an everyday battle for addicts.
Thanks for that, Ripping Lips...yeah I wondered if that recovery reference would be confusing. Loved that album too. Yes, prescription drugs have been over prescribed for sure. We addicts will find a way though. I took responsibility for decades of pill abuse. Had help with methadone. Then rehab and faithful membership in NA. The grace of God.. happy to hear he's been clean . And thanks for the congrats!
The Macklemore dig could be about the difference in how they grew up. Macklemore had the idealistic family, education, access to music programs etc. befor he started his career. Em, well he came straight from 8 Mile and scrapped for every inch he moved...
He used Macklemore as an example because they are both white rappers but who grew up differently. Meaning Macklemore grew up privileged while Em grew up in the hood fighting for his survivals.
Leaving Heaven i can relate with so much, it brought up so many feelings I had towards my “father”...idk, fuck him, grew up without him and I still don’t need him, whether he would like to meet my kids doesn’t matter to me, as long as I got them 👌
Why are people saying this is a horrible album. I have yet to hear a bad track. I also refuse to listen to a song off of it unless its a reaction vid. Lol im addicted. Ive been an em fan since day 1. Im as old as his ass is lol
Em goes off.. No mercy.. Thats why he has the fan base he does he don't have to be fake we appreciate his realness
Leaving heaven made me cry, because he lived through abuse 💔💔😢 I seriously shed a tear
Leaving heaven personally has some of the best verses hes ever written in my opinion Skylar's voice on the hook is gorgeous
The Macklemore line was from his song he said he thought he could be gay because he kept his room straight.
Man, Leaving Heaven was hard as hell.
Some of the best lyrics hes ever written
