I Honestly enjoy this Em more than old Em. I think a lot of ppl do, or at least equally. His numbers have remained at the top of the industry for 2 decades, as consumption methods have changed, because Way more ppl realize he's Amazing... Than ppl hate. I feel like Em's spreading a semi false narrative, rather than shutting is down.
Some of us like the new Em because we are the "new" us. We grew up with him and now that we are fathers and husbands, we dont wanna hear the old slimshady anyway. This new album is a classic.
Em hasn't changed but people for sure have got sensitive as fuck

We all grew up as did he and his current music hits us the same but the content is different. Rightfully so. When people say they want old Em back it comes across to me as nostalgia more than anything. This album is a masterpiece. Peace.

It seems like some of us judge music as a whole and some judge it based on the individual parts and if one of those parts isn't what they expect or like then it throws it all off for them where as someone like me just sees the full picture and say "it's a masterpiece" vs the critic who says"it's a great painting but I can see one of the brush strokes in this miniscule corner and therefore the value drops "

I have a dad and a mum, but the pressure, disappointment and lack of respect for me is worse then not having them at all. When your parents are so self-centred that they can't see past themselves .. shit fuck them. The lack of empathy and understanding for your own blood makes you a monster. All that is left is judgment even when you are the perfect kid and tried for many years to shut your mouth and do the right thing.. it never matters like I aforementioned if they can't see past themselves. Fuck people who don't see value in who you are. Parents are people too. Your better off without these people in your life brother, you don't need negatively in your life to fuck up your vibe. Stay strong and you be the role model for your future kids.. be a humble and honest man and fuck explaining yourself to anyone. God bless

That hook really gave me chills, the beat, the instrument, skylar's voice, it's felt so glorious and also know the meaning behind this song, it just make it 2x better

Great reaction brother! 💪 This is definitely one of Eminem's most heavy songs and i felt every word in this song. I too been fatherless my whole life and this song hit me so hard it put me on a dark place for a couple of days. But the more I listen to the song the better I feel. Its like it opened up a wound but its healing it at the same time. And I can honestly say I appreciate Em for it because its like he's speaking to me and thousands of other kids/men who are going thru similar circumstances, Em is letting us know that its only 1% of who we are, what we decide to do after is what will define us! Just thought I'd share my thought of the song. Great work brother, keep it up! 👏

Finally, haha, personally I believe this is one of the BEST songs on this (probably) the BEST album in HipHop! Keep up the good work! AND YES, I think the two goes perfectly together, in fact every song with these two (including Yelawolf's Twisted) is a FIRE track! Also, Skylar actually wrote the chorus of the hit song from Recovery - Like the Way You Lie, personally seeing the live and everything I think Skylar is much better a match than Rhianna for that song! Lastly, correction, Denaun is actually Mr Porter, Kon Artis from D12, Proof's real name is DeShaun.
also, after Proof's death, Mr Porter has been Em's hype man at concerts, he also is one of Em's producer.
I love that you actually have musical knowledge and can use musical terminology to explain the rhythms and flows.

I take this song as the scab has been ripped off, and Em's torn up, cuz he Never got to tell his dad he Hates Him, to his face, for abandoning him in the hood, his mom's crazy ass, poverty, instability, etc. That's not the kind of "Regret" ppl usually mean lol, but it suits Em's moral convictions.
