for each vitamin you need to completely overhaul your lifestyle to be able to cram enough of it into yourself day by day. But since there about 20 vitamins, this gets simply unmanageable. Your stomach turns into an overloades biodigester of compost. When I just try to force myself into receiving enough calories to not stay skinny I get a constant heartburn from the overflowing stomah acids trying to dissolve those overflowing heaps of biomass I need to stuff into myself on a continuous basis. Its much easier to eat like a human not piles of "healthy” grass like a horse and receive those unattainable wacky chemicals through a pill 💊.
Heartburn and slow digestion can be too little stomach acid/enzymes. I have autoimmune issues and that the case for me. Without adequate enzymes the stomach sphincters don’t get the signal to tighten up, causing leakage from relaxed sphincters. I take enzymes within 30 minutes before eating a meal. It has helped a lot in controlling heartburn and acid reflux. A few diet changes help too.

I have 170 grams of beet leaves steamed for 4 mins in microwave and then sauteed in garlic served with my eggs for breakfast. The beet leaves will give you 1300 mg of potassium to start the day. I have started my own beetroot garden because I eat so much and I'm sick of shopping for them and spinach. 1 cup of milk will give you 366 mg so that's nearly 2000 mg in one meal. You really have to eat a lot and get it with different foods each meal. I have learned to buy only high potassium foods. There is no room in my stomach or fridge for low potassium foods any more. Lettuce, which I always loved to eat is just a complete waist of space. But when you start the high potassium diet, it becomes addictive because you feel like you are on a drug!
I left when they say take a bit eat a banana and you'll get all the potassium you need and what's the joke is we need 4700 mg and a banana from what I understand has 27 30 mg at most per banana that means you have to eat a lot of bananas so and supposedly to get near of what you need also you would need 12 to 15 cups of leafy green vegetables like kale or spinach or what else was it anyway you need some really good veggies it's it's a lot supposedly Dr Eric Berg takes his leafy greens and freezes them and then put some in a blender and drinks his daily dose
+enzyme20056 This might be surprising but... We actually need 2 to 3 mmol/kg/day (3 mainly for children) For someone who's 70 kg, it will be about 140 to 210 mmol/day and since 1 mmol = 76.92 mg of pottassium ==> Such a person needs about 10 g of potassaium a day !
A cup of 100% carrot juice will bring the heart rate down within 5-10 mins. I love Bolthouse Farms brand, sold at most Walmart & local grocery stores. No added sugar as carrot is sweet enough on its own. Works miracles! I used to have irregular heartbeat with skipping/high pulse. Now every now and again I feel my pulse jump and because the carrot juice is liquid it gets in the blood stream a lot quicker. This is during an episode. Increasing potassium overall will prevent and reduce the attacks. Also, reducing anxiety, stress, frustration levels through prayer, stillness, deep breathing, exercises, focusing on calming Scriptures and enjoying nature outdoors will help tremendously. Faith in the Ultimate Healer can't go without being said. *** Be mindful that certain drugs and treatments with medical doctor makes us where we have to limit our potassium, one example is dialysis. Hope this helps.
Pretty much every disease or illness can be attributed to some sort of deficiency and toxicity in the body. Keeping yourself more alkaline than acidic is key.
An 11.5 oz can of low sodium V8, a banana, some steamed broccoli, a few hearts of celery, and a glass of milk a day and you're getting awful close to the required amount DV. Orange juice is so high in sugar. No need to be tackling the potassium issue and be setting yourself up for diabetes at the same time.

@@johng5261 Lol what, you have more potassium than all other metals in your body combined and according to the FDA 98% of Americans are not getting enough of it. Farmers use it as fertilizer for pretty much every crop and a lot of animal food have it added, 20% of hospitalized people have potassium deficiency which is why it's added to drops by default, and somehow it's a health hazard to you? Granted people with kidney failure or other severe issues can have problems dealing with it but that's a pretty rare illness and something that should be treated. True the potassium chloride supplements are not really great because of how much potassium we need a day and the fact most people get more than enough chloride through salt anyway so better off getting the bicarbonate or certain foods.
@@srolesen My father died of hyperkelmia , potassium chloride overdose essentially. Yes my opinion is skewed. If you want to take it via bananas go ahead thats fine, they give it to you in a hospital you pray. Potassium right into a Pikk line is one sure way of playing russian roulette even for.a healthy person.
@@johng5261people get very low dose of potassium in picc line as standard because every single cell in your body depends on natrium/potassium pumps for energy supply, frequently the potassium part is too low especially in hospitalized people and as a result the heart has to beat harder to supply the same energy so they order beta blockers etc. to regulate that energy pump so available potassium is artificially and immediately increased. My point is if you have problems with high potassium levels you are very ill and likely on medication that limits it's normal function/have stage 5 kidney failure but for most people (98%) we are not getting enough potassium and keeping an eye on that intake is a really good idea and makes it less likely you end in the hospital with a line of it plugged in your vein.
@@srolesen my father always had low potassium at least for the past few years, he did fine. I just told you potassium in picc lines in ICU is not a good idea unless absolutely being monitored correctly which never happens. Many hospitals ban its use in the ICU unless absolutely critical. Lindy Ford Nutrition & Wellness..................it is very much true that medicines can deplete minerals and nutrients from the body.....im sure my own doctor is aware of this but has continued to ignore me for 18 months..........i had a heart attack 19 months ago and ever since then i had a tight feeling around my throat and difficulty breathing and lethargy......i suspected the medicines but doc said no.....i insisted medicines were changed which they were.......but i still had this feeling at throat........i then had iliac surgery approx 6 months ago and during my stay in hospital they said my potassium was low and said it could be medicines i was on - i was medicated with potassium for 2 weeks.....i felt great but put it down to my op and having a rest in hospital.......within a week of being home the tightness reappeared at my throat......i have been back and forth at my doc and he kept saying he could find nothing and i was at my wits end thinking it could be allsorts.............2 weeks ago i started taking potassium as i had a bottle of them in cupboard...........within 30 mins of taking the first tablet (100mg) i felt 80% better.....i understand you can take 400mg each day?..... im now taking 200mg only each day and feel full of life...........the horrible feeling of tightness at my throat and not getting to breathe properly has gone - i have more energy too.
geoffdundee To much potassium can give you a Heart Attack !!!
John Young......i will keep that in mind John thankyou
geoffdundee U R Welcome.
Bananas
What if you have too much. How can you bring this down ☝️❤️💯💯Thank you Dr Oz
Sodium?
caffeine in coffee can depleted/lowered the potassium
Dr. Oz is treating all of these people like their in 2nd grade omg 😮
Look and listen to ladies they all belong to first grade you grade them too high
Amber Marshall they're*
lmao
Amber Marshall treating the television viewers like that too
Yeah, when HE is the one who can't pronounce the vocabulary word correctly.
Thanks for sharing this wonderful posting. Dr Oz👍
for each vitamin you need to completely overhaul your lifestyle to be able to cram enough of it into yourself day by day.
Dr. Oz, Thank you for caring about humanity! I appreciate the health information that you provided about potassium. I teach humanity the importance of having the right amount of minerals and vitamins for balance and health! I appreciate your work! Nurse, Lois
My blood pressure dropped to 70/ 50, my pulse to 40bpm, my heart then started to beat erratically. This wasn’t subtle.
How can i trust him to know what he's talking about when he can't even pronounce "potassium" correctly 😫
I know right 😣😫😩
What your thoughts on lily of valley
What? To eat? I thought it was poisonous.
Low Sodium V8 Juice is the highest source for potassium that I’ve found at 820mg per 8oz; coconut water at 500mg per 8oz is #2.
If anyone has some other great sources, please speak up.
Aussie thanks for the info. I’ll try that out down the road.
@@wyattlavigne 1 tbsp Cream of Tartar +-1480mg Potassium
@@hostiles1 That’s good to know. Thanks a ton!
6 to 8 cups of leafy greens
I'm surprised that we need 4700mg. I'm going to check another source , it seems too high
+enzyme20056 how did they figured we need that much
+enzyme20056 This might be surprising but...
We actually need 2 to 3 mmol/kg/day (3 mainly for children)
For someone who's 70 kg, it will be about 140 to 210 mmol/day and since 1 mmol = 76.92 mg of pottassium ==> Such a person needs about 10 g of potassaium a day !
the more you sweat the more electrolytes you will lose....also expelled when your kidney's go to work...not really surprising at all...
A day? For some reason that is not high I eat food high in potassium every single day.
lillawicca yrah , right, if you eat morr than 4700 mg of potassium a day you must eat likr an obese person ( minus thr unhealthy mcdonald's )
Hope this helps.
have you been diagnosed with Hypokalemia ?
@@johng5261 nope. Just need enough potassium to help regular my heart rate. Much better than it used to be
Pretty much every disease or illness can be attributed to some sort of deficiency and toxicity in the body. Keeping yourself more alkaline than acidic is key.
and how do i do that?
I have a brain fog and hormonal issues, but i checked my blood, I have enough. I have hepatitis, that causes brain fog and other neurological issues.
Kris Get The Banana
Dr. Oz mixed up the two black girls hahaahahah
It's natural LOL
@Nitsatu27 I was thinking the same thing lol
I noticed that immediately! Lol
@Von bruh you're way to sensitive lol
🤣🤣 It happens at my job all the time and I jokingly make the comment that we don't all look alike.
How did so many deltarune fans think of doing the same thing lmao
KRIS GET THE POTASSIUM
Banana
Avocado has more than a banana and less carbs (sugar)
Yeah but you don't have to worry about the sugar in bananas though I consume 7 bananas and coconut water for breakfast on a daily basis.
How many bananas you need eat a day ? I eat two
Dr. Eric Berg ! Thank you !
Don't believe it. He's a cardiac surgeon. He should have told people that if you're on certain heart and cholesterol medications, you should be careful about your potassium intake ❤️
low potassium doesn't kill, high does. Literally dead from too much. I would never take potassium ever
It can be dangerous with no kidney failure, its going directly into the heart, anything can happen.
Can you find potassium in foods or an vitamins which option is best
get potassium from coconut water. google it and read about it.
foods better because beside potassium, we can get other Vitamins + Minerals too, but if by supplement, we only get Potassium + some unwanted add ingredients (look at the back label)
Whats the difference between losartan 50mg and potassium 595mg suppliment?
Losartan is a Angiotensin II receptor blocker drug for high blood pressure. Potassium Chloride comes in generic names commonly Klor-Con. Potassium chloride (Klor-Con) is dosed in milliequivalents (mEq), which is a way of measuring electrolytes. So 10 mEq is equal to 750 mg of potassium.
Chunky chicken noodle soup has about 25 percent of you daily value of potassium. I had panic attacks and brain fog when mine was low.
I start taking potassium supplements.its been 3 weeks I start taking pills
here is my issues I have been told I have low, potassium but i also have Arnold Chiara malformation of the brain that has the same symptoms.
Kimberly Bates what the heck does that mean Kimberly so potassium is associated with what you have or is there something else going on?
In love with that melanin chocolate skin from second lady
Kris, get the banana
I love doctor Oz😊
Most Americans do love quacks.
"You have not enough minerals!" - Dr. Oz

great advice
How can we gain any Nutrients, the foods at the grocery store has no nutrients in them , they are pulled from the trees green, way too early then shipped to us, go to the produce section at the Grocery Store and none of the fruits have any smell, WTH!! I grew up in the Caribbean Where fruits have a Smell, I'm eating it in America and it does absolutely nothing
I just learned without magnesium (the best mag. for brain fog is "Magnesium L threanate" taken during the day) potassium will not be allow to enter the cell without magnesium!
And you must balance potassium and sodium for blood pressure to be normal.
wtf why is this so complicated?
Almost all of those foods cause more problems than the potassium would fix because of their high sugar levels.
Potassium
could the heart skip be misdiagnosed as afib?
Sandy Adams..... or too much caffeine!?
Potatoes and spinach. If u are active or want to be active you need this.
He didn't mention red meat, has even more potassium than fish.
meat is not a particularly good source of potassium.
👎👎👎 these are common symptoms of many health conditions. Obesity. Hypohyroid. Calcium deficiency. Dehydration. Heart murmur. Insomnia. Etc. It's up to each individual to work with their doctor to determine causation.
