We had Gulf Stations here in my hometown in my youth - 1960s through 1970s. One was a popular service garage, so they likely had a very similar truck. I'm looking for this kit now. I'm doing AMT's 1963 unibody F-100 Custom Cab. Looks like the same basic kit, except for singlepiece cab/bed and grill/headlights. 😊 I took a hint from Chris/HPIGuy on the wheels, and trimmed off those huge tabs. Made mounting the tires much easier. 👍
Another great build. I am going to be binge your videos. I have learned a few tips and tricks. I started building model in the 60s. I mostly did race cars, dragsters, and funny car. I was big into racing.
I was so impressed by your build, I had to order the model for myself. Great job. Looks just like something you would see sitting at an old time gas station.
I like the color scheme you chose for this truck, and when I saw you working on the dashboard decals I thought, "we've all been there" where the decal wants to stick to your fingers and everywhere else except where it is supposed to go. I like this truck, and the 1960 Chevy from AMT was a superb kit as well, but I would love to see one of the older Dodge trucks in kit form, either as a rerelease of an old one or an all new tool.
Looks good! On the wheels, I find it easier to snip off at least half of those tabs that go into the tires. It sure makes it much easier to get them in place.
Very nice. I like the 2 tone paint scheme in the Gulf colors.
I just got this for Christmas and can't wait to put it together 😁
Love that truck Louie! What a great build! 😎👍

What color sharpie for around the windows? Thanks
Cool truck. I have to ask, when you painted the chassie, did you use flat black, or semi-gloss black?
It’s a matte black. Thanks for watching!!
My truck came with 2 hoods did yours
No, wow that’s crazy. Thanks for Watching
That beacon light should be AMBER not RED unless you build it as a fire department vehicle
It’s what came in the kit.
