I really like your videos. Great technical breakdown and practical examples explaining the footwork and the reasoning behind it. I box regularly (5 days a week) and have been trying out some of these new techniques and they are working much better with far less effort exerted. Thanks, Tony!
Hey dude, I’ve been practicing punches at home and I wonder, if I threw fast punches, would it be efficient if like I hit harder. Not a good explanation but you get the thing, right?
@@challengepeos6534 Sunderland is absolutely a rough place, and his accent deffo carries a Mackam twang to it, might just be south of the Tyne. I could be wrong but to my ear it sounds south of the river to me
Tony! I hadn’t trained combat sports since I was 14! I’m now 39 and your tutorials help me loose over two stone during the pandemic! If you ever come to Belfast, I owe you a pint! Thank you for the content
Great instruction and inspiration. I use to throw that “uppercut” to the body (I called it a “shovel hook”), after a straight punch and it would land almost every time (inexperienced fighters never expect it). I had my “floating ribs” cracked by a body hook, and I don’t think they ever heal 100%. Most beginners are “head hunter’s” but the “body shots are like money in the bank” (Larry Holmes).
I think i've watched about 8 of your videos since last night and i have to say your tips and advice are A1 and so easy to follow. Keep it up and thanks !
Really excellent video Tony. Just the right length with incredible pointers along the way. I box in the gym for exercise and this gives me more to focus on. Thank you.
From a teaching perspective, it is great how you demonstrate the left hook from both sides of the bag, Tony. It creates clarity. As someone else has mentioned, you have a modicum of technical demonstration in mid air, closely followed by how the technique or combination applies on the bag.
Brilliant having subtitles. I’m Irish and love his guys teaching. Where he comes from, I can imagine a lot of guys wanting a go, with 10 beers and fish n chips😂😂
Another superb instructional video, Tony. Your videos are the best I've seen in the Martial Arts world. Great to hear a northern English accent too. I'm an Aussie! Love your excellent technique in the punches too. When I was taught the Right Cross, I was instructed to slide my rear right foot a little forwards to gain extra distance. Was the Overhand Right in there? I've always adopted this foot slide practice for the two back foot punches. Interesting how you use a Right Hook off the back foot too. I'll start practising it.
Hey master I am addicted watching your vlogs about boxing. I think you can also give as some boxing drills or daily workout plan to improve our boxing skills and body. Like road work, 6 rounds show boxing and 6 rounds of jumping rope. Because I feel like I’m lost. I’m just doing what ever I like to train boxing. I wanna have a direction on what to do everyday like preparing for a championship.
Areet mate am loving these tutorials I’ve had a few white collar fights in the past and the training I had wasn’t broken down and made more understandable like it is with your videos... could be the accent since am a north east lad me self😂nice to see a local lad smashing it over in America too. So... jab = palm facing down. Hook = palm sideways Uppercut = palm facing up Cross = palm facing down or sideways? Either way works? Trying not to jack up my shoulder. Good video, thanks.
Gotta give credit. Mr. Jeffries teaching yielded real-world results for me. I was able to defend myself and three children from a bully lunatic. With finality.
Thanks! Mr Tony Jefferies for teaching the proper way of throwing that left hook on the heavy bag, Love your style of explanation and instruction All the best to you

Question so on the pivot of the left hook orthodox style everything comes from the hip and you lock the shoulder or keep loose ?
