      Can you use the same audible account on multiple device? For example If ma mom wants audible and I already have an account does she have to pay for a new subscription or connect to my account. I tried that but it doesn’t work, it says on internet I can have audible on multiple device and then it says I need to pay if I want audible on another device 😢

      @@romainjeandec6875 The last time I checked, you can use Audible on multiple devices. I can use it on my iPhone, MacBook, and Apple Watch all under the same account. Maybe it depends on what device?

    Great video! I'm definitely going to change my membership plan based off of what you said.
    Video idea: When and how do you listen to your audiobooks? What are you doing while you listen, do you listen by speaker or headset, and what type of books do you listen to during certain activities? Etc.

      YOURE the perfect profile for audible

  •  3 месяца назад +1

    Credits are the key! I haven’t looked at audibles list but…some finance and government books that I’ve wanted to read over the years are a couple hundred bucks a pop! That alone would make it worth it.

    • @SamuelEarth
      @SamuelEarth  3 месяца назад

      Wow! That’s for sure. Personally I’d be surprised if they’re that much on Audible because VERY few books at least that I’ve seen are more than $50-60.

    The crazy part is is that I signed up for Audible to get more into books. I’m sitting here right now with six credits. And just been paying for something I don’t use!! I could pause the membership but I will not get credit. I can cancel the membership but from what I heard and read my credits get canceled too unless I buy a book before I canceled the membership.

    • @SamuelEarth
      @SamuelEarth  4 месяца назад +1

      I understand your frustration but if you buy any books, you keep them forever whether or not you cancel the membership. I’d suggest getting whatever books you wanted to get into and then canceling the membership. You’ll still have an account and access to the books, and you won’t be paying any extra for more books until/unless you feel like doing it later on.

    I probably have 20 Audible books I haven’t read. You mentioned that once you buy a book it’s always yours, but when I called Amazon they told me that I need a membership for that to be the case? I need to reduce various memberships for my budget…how can I save the books I own and still cancel my membership?

    If I want to listen 1 book daily which plan should I buy on audible and how will be the cost?

    • @SamuelEarth
      @SamuelEarth  4 месяца назад +1

      I’d very strongly recommend the same one I have - Audible Premium Plus Annual 24 Credits. It’s $229.50 once a year and they give you 24 credits once a year. Whenever you run out of credits, you can buy 5 more at a discounted rate, but I’d recommend buying books with a card that cost less than that rate per credit, that way you’re saving the most possible.
      Basically as long as you have this plan and you either use credits or go out of your way to buy books that cost less than those credits, you won’t be paying anything $10 or higher for a book. It’s the least expensive cost-per-book plan you can possibly get - not to mention some books are free to listen to until the end of your billing cycle and some deals let you purchase books for 70-80% off or more, which can be $6-8. It’s a terrific plan and I’d recommend it to anyone who really really loves listening to audiobooks and doesn’t want to spend as much on them as they would elsewhere.

      I wish it were actually that easy to explain, because I get questions about it all the time, but please refer to 6:08 for an explanation. I've been making these videos about Audible since maybe 2022 and this is the simplest way I can put it.

    what does it mean when I'm trying to buy a book and the orange yellow bar says "+Buy for 1 credit?" Does that mean I'll pay the $14.18 plus 1 credit?

    • @SamuelEarth

      Nope! That just means you will get the book if you use one credit. No extra cost!

    just got it and canceled right of the bat, 15 dollars a month to get access to what? the cost of the books is outrageous as well. youre paying 50 dollars for access to the sight and your first book, the book itself is 10 dollars on amazon and the audiobook is free on all those other great sights. its absolutely not worth it.

    • @SamuelEarth
      @SamuelEarth  4 месяца назад +4

      1. I actually explain what the plan comes with at 1:52.
      2. The cost of the books is actually more than reasonable especially when you’re a member. You can find a lot of used paperback versions of books for around the same price, but a lot of brand new hardcover books are usually more whether you buy them on Amazon or not. It really comes down to the book though ultimately.
      Audiobooks tend to be more expensive than books because they didn’t just have to be written - they also had to be recorded, mixed, and mastered, which takes a lot of time and costs a lot, and you also get access to them whenever you want so you’re also paying for the accessibility. You can fit 100 audiobook in a phone, but can you fit 100 physical copies in a backpack? Nope!
      I have the top tier membership and I haven’t paid more than $10 for an audiobook in years. I’d rather spend $10 on a book than $30, wouldn’t you?
      3. No one is paying $50 for access to Audible. I understand that you’re frustrated but this is false. No membership option is $50/mo.
      4. If the audiobook is free on “all those other sites”, what sites are you referring to? Of course it’s free on RUclips (for how long until it’s taken down due to copyright), but what about every other audiobook you want to listen to? Good luck finding those on all the other great sites. You’re also paying for that - the selection.
      There’s a lot of value that goes into those prices. I’m sorry you weren’t able to see that value.

      @101bravohotel6 4 месяца назад +1

      @@SamuelEarth though i get youre being paid by them it absolutely is 50 a month and i explained it up there, you pay to have access to the sight and then have to pay another 20 for each book, when all those books are all on this exact platform for free including reddit and tons of other sights. think about it like this, you pay 15 a month to just log in to prime video, you then get a handful of very bad and political driven "free" options while the rest of the sight is locked under transactions ranging from 3 to 30 dollars. how P.O'ed would you be finding that out? you pay a sub to just be allowed to log in. then after 30 days you could spend 100-300x the amount the actual subscription is, now thats actually happening like now you can pay 3$ for ad removable, and all of these are amazon companies, the ones paying you to say this, youre like an oil guy, you know its bad and youre lying but they're paying you to do it so who cares right? lol so you can keep saying its worth it spending hundreds a month on things you only own in the virtual world so when the power goes out, *poof* you basically lit that money on fire in the end. its getting to the point that its all going into this mirco transaction set up where every single thing is locked behind a price bar and youre being a peddler of it to the masses.

      I am a new member and the price is not bad especially if you know how to work the system and get the yearly subscription. You get alot of books for free and the books that cost and get them for at least 10 even for the most expensive one when using credit. Plus there are huge sales. Barnes and Noble is expensive so I can get those books for at least $10. I see 15 or 20 or 30 but after yearly subscription I'm actually paying about $10. Plus when you cancel the purchased books you can still read. The free ones you can't. Libraries you have to sometimes wait and then 2 weeks to use. I'm not sure about other platforms. But Aubile is worth it. I will be pushing a book my supervisor is requiring me to read but it's on audible and cheaper. I will always have it. I canceled my movie subscription because I don't watch TV that often plus I get cable and Disney plus for free through my apartment compl3x. I am more like to use audible and music subscription.
