    Excellent video as always, love the explanation of why equipment was chosen and no silly claims of ‘this sounds the best in the world’ claims.

    20 hours is about right. I put in about 40hrs into mine but I had to make 4 pieces. My right side large format tweeter is in the sail and my dash is more oddly shaped, and needed to make a beauty panel on the left side sail as the stock trim tweeter cover sticks out. It's hard to imagine how much work is involved unless you have done something similar. Preparation alone takes hours to get a very good fit without using heaps of filler.

      SUBSONIC AUTHORITY hi yes, there is a video about speaker aiming on pillars shared 2-3 years ago on the channel, please scroll down to it, plus check Part 7.1-7.3 & Part 8 in the SQ in car playlist where we cover this topic. 👌

    Excellent install, I have a question, I’m running a front stage morel Elate Titanium with a subwoofer supreme titanium SC 10”, power by arc audio xdi 1200.6 and xdi 1100.2, tuned with a Audison bit one hd, said that is there any way to install a dac or some type of player that gives me more definition? Saw one video were in one of your installs had a Fiio player to a dac then optical to the dsp. Any suggestions? Really appreciate your help. Have been watching your videos and learning from them , had bad experiences at some shops at U.S.A. so I start making my own installs. No so beautiful las yours but sounds us good. Thanks you in advanced.

    • @pssound9749
      @pssound9749  4 года назад

      Cruz Morales hi, we use these Fiio DAP players as they have coax digital output, so you don’t need any extra boxes, just a 75ohm coax cable with phono plugs and then you can plug it straight into the coax digital input on your DSP, simple! 💪👌

    What was the final volume of the pods, and what did they measure like?

    Please, could you give me your recommendation. If you had to choose a dsp between 1) Rainbow, 2) Zapco, 3) Helix , 4) Mosconi, 5) ESX, 6) Goldhorn. Which would you choose? All of them in the $500-$700 range

    • @pssound9749
      @pssound9749  8 месяцев назад

      I can tell only assume that 8ch are enough for you, although you wouldn’t really get more from that budget. I’d try to hunt down a Helix DSP.3 / DSP.3S with Conductor and a HEC HD BT module, probably your best option or a Zapco DSP-IV II.

  • @Mkvy
    @Mkvy 4 года назад +1

    I would have 3D printed that. 4walls, 20% infill. Problem is, each pod would take 24 hours to print at least, and then all the support removal. Nah,

      Full Moon Party Video haha yepp, then mould it to the exact shape of the interior, dash/pillar. Tough when you have deadlines and budget. 🔊🔊

    based on your experience. Can we build for the same model (vectra manual gear) a box for a mid bass as you did for the insigna

  • @siveguten3739
    @siveguten3739 Год назад

    Can i just fill it with cloth inside? Mine sound very boxy (thin plastic), and i need to fix that.
    What did you attach the cloth with? just stuff it in there, or glue? Can i risk burning anything, or doesnt the midrange get hot enough?

    • @pssound9749
      @pssound9749  Год назад

      Hi,
      Midrange should never get hot, not even the slightest with appropriate settings.
      Just fill the box loosely, you don’t need to glue it. You can also add deadening to the inside walls if it’s flimsy plastic.

    Please i have a question for this installation did u upgrade the alternator?

    • @pssound9749
      @pssound9749  3 года назад +1

      No, we didn’t. Just a better type 70Ah AGM battery was used & OEM alt, perfectly enough for this level of load.

    Why so small on the sub enclosure. Looked like 8+ inches of room on either side.

    • @pssound9749
      @pssound9749  4 года назад +1

      🔊Acoustic Terrorist 💣 because the box was originally built for a different sub, but 1.2cuft/34L is enough for this sub in sealed anyway. Check out the latest tuning video to see what it plays.
