Betsy DeVos, we have a few questions for you: • If a teacher tests positive for COVID-19 are they required to quarantine for 2-3 weeks? Is their sick leave covered, paid? • If that teacher has 5 classes a day with 30 students each, do all 150 of those students need to then stay home and quarantine for 14 days? • Do all 150 of those students now have to get tested? Who pays for those tests? Are they happening at school? How are the parents being notified? Does everyone in each of those kids' families need to get tested? Who pays for that? • What if someone who lives in the same house as a teacher tests positive? Does that teacher now need to take 14 days off of work to quarantine? Is that time off covered? Paid? • Where is the district going to find a substitute teacher who will work in a classroom full of exposed, possibly infected students for substitute pay? • Substitutes teach in multiple schools. What if they are diagnosed with COVID-19? Do all the kids in each school now have to quarantine and get tested? Who is going to pay for that? • What if a student in your kid's class tests positive? What if your kid tests positive? Does every other student and teacher they have been around quarantine? Do we all get notified who is infected and when? Or because of HIPAA regulations are parents and teachers just going to get mysterious “may have been in contact” emails all year long? • What is this stress going to do to our teachers? How does it affect their health and well-being? How does it affect their ability to teach? How does it affect the quality of education they are able to provide? What is it going to do to our kids? What are the long-term effects of consistently being stressed out? • How will it affect students and faculty when the first teacher in their school dies from this? The first parent of a student who brought it home? The first kid? • How many more people are going to die, that otherwise would not have if we had stayed home longer? 30% of the teachers in the US are over 50. Sitting in a desk and NOT moving with a mask on ALL day for 6 HOURS a day is NOT healthy. They canNOT safely go to specialist, they have to eat lunch in their CLASSROOMS. They can't play with their friends at recess. The kids CANNOT face each other, they CANNOT talk to each other, they CANNOT share ANY SUPPLIES! How can I get them to come to me with a mask on and peel them from their parents staying 6 FEET apart!?! How can I keep 24 kids 6 feet APART and learning with masks in a room that is already way too small!?! She keeps saying they HAVE to go back to school but she has NO recommendations on HOW. I am so sick of Megan of course she agrees with the rest of the Republicans because her child doesn’t have to go to public school or daycare!!! Megan needs to shut up!!! Until she puts her baby in a public daycare (not a nanny) or a public school she needs to be quiet!!!!!
It’s ironic that Meghan dissed Betsy Devos’s media skills when her father’s campaign team brought upon us Sarah Palin...who had just as disastrous media skills
A choice each family should be able to make for themselves. I'd prefer a flexible plan depending on our location that allows for in person and online classes being interchangeable
Kids aren't wired to "social distance" the first thing me and MANY of my friends did on the first day was share hugs and laughs on a social setting. Humans aren't wired that way, but it seems some of us seem to understand the importance. Kids just aren't wired to understand that they can't be "social"
I personally don’t think schools shouldn’t open unless numbers drop *but* with that being said, won’t we have the same issue then at daycares? So how do we solve this issue?
They both have a point in a small way meaning the 1 at the bottom but Joy is who I'm leaning more towards. For obvious reasons, she worked as a Teacher so that's 1st hand knowledge.
WITHOUT extra funding for every school, to separate classes, separate cafeteria seats, restrooms? All of these have to be cleaned multiple times a day!
One last thing ladies. Yes Meghan I get it, I do realize it is unsustainable, still. Ask yourself's would any parent, let their child play with a gun? Or let them drive a car, before they know how? Of course not, because they could hurt themselves or others. Sure there is a chance nothing at all will happen. But are we really ready to take that chance with all of our children _____ ? I can tutor anyone at any age in mathematics, it dose not matter how old the student is, I have worked with many kids who were a year behind and got them up to speed, and they did pass. What even I can not do, is bring them back from the dead, or cure the illness of covid-19 🤷♂️~ . . . [thanks] 😌 ( all of this feels a lot like "TRUMP COLLEGE") Remember Trump had to give back $25,000,000.00 for his fake college. But Trump can not give you back your kids, once gone~ 🙊🙈🙉 ~ ... bows 🙏
I have a kid with asthma and I don’t feel comfortable sending him to school. School is supposed to start in August and the only thing they’ve send us is a survey, but nothing concrete about what precautions they are taking and how they’re working on having a safe place for my kid and the rest of students.
i don't think children should be in school at all. since your child has asthma, this may be a bad solution as well, but i'm bringing it up just in case. at minute 3:37 in the link below, this doctor says MERV 16 filters are just as strong as N95 masks. maybe that will help your family in case they need it while grocery shopping or who knows what. ruclips.net/video/HjtoLO6dkuM/видео.html
Because the "plan" is there is No Plan. Same as Trump's with Covid. They just want us to forget about it because it's inconvenient for them. If you or your child has to die, oh well. These Republicans don't care how many of us have to die. #SaveAmerica #Votebluenomatterwho
Ms. McCain, BIG difference between Walmart and classrooms. Secondly, Senate Republicans (generally speaking) have not stood up to the incompetence currently living in the White House. The EPA, the Treasury, The AG, Department of Homeland Security, Border Patrol: ALL COMPROMISED UNDER 45'S LEADERSHIP.
Dan Wruck Oh wasn’t that cute. Are you a man or what? Go fix something and make yourself useful. You probably don’t know how to fix anything, do you? 😂
@Dan Wruck OR she could exercise her first amendment right to express her disdain with her country's leadership, or lack there of. Unless of course this is North Korea and Trump is in fact a dictator who is above reproach. 🙄
What is use for Students to go to school when they directly go back home for being sick? When they get sick, parent will still have to stop work to handle students illness. Way to put everyone in harms way.
I'd be asking her if she's prepared to cover any hospital or funeral costs for kids and families who contract the virus, out of her own pocket because she'd be the one responsible for the kids being in crowded classrooms.
Meghan forgets at Wal-Mart and Disney people/customers are moving whereas in a classroom with 24 children, plus 1 teacher we are in the same room for hours breathing in each other's air. Yes when 1 child or teacher is sick, we all catch it. No matter how careful you are. This is from experience multiple times, different school years.
She secretly votes for trump. Even she has said if it was any other person than trump doing his policy, she would vote for him because she loves the policy. And she said he gave the best speech ever at his inauguration, but hated it because it was trump. She is a conservative and will absolutely not vote Biden. 😂 All Republicans and conservatives will vote trump no matter what now because of Biden's policies and stance with AOC and beto at his side, even independents will cringe when they vote trump, but anything is better than Biden...
They want kids, educators, and staff to go back, but no plan to go back. I'm all for schools to be reopened, but I'm not comfortable sending people to school without a plan.
Actions speak louder than words, Meghan, even on your decibel level! If you want people to believe Republicans care about education, healthcare, veterans, children, then your party needs to stop cutting funding to these areas, and invest in them instead. You hate being attacked every day? THEN STOP GIVING PEOPLE A REASON TO ATTACK YOU!
At the very end what joy was trying to say about “if Hilary Clinton was president” hit home. Say what you want about her but if she was president we would be a lot more organized.
Single parents can't leave young kids home alone. That means the child would most likely end up in daycare. Not everyone has family who can watch their child. Kids will be exposed whether it's school or daycare.
Zariaeda 007 I never stated they could leave them alone. My point is that the government need to come up with a plan by 2021 to return to school and give people subsidized income you pay your taxes . Because if the parent get sick and die who’s going to care for the child. I am not a single parent so just thinking about solution.
People cite needing to work as issues, but there are job opportunities sprouting up everywhere for remote work and flexible hours. Maybe you could apply to do temp work in CA for NY or vice versa, that way you could work while you kids sleep. It's not perfect, but remote work is an incredible gift right now.

@@ecchiboi9790 very interesting tea
Literally... I had a 5 year old SNEEZE IN MY FACE TWICE! Why is it MY job to get parents back to work! It isn't I am NOT a babysitter and shoving too many kids into small classrooms is NOT safe.
Taking children to Walmart where they are being watched by their parents is very different from sending them to school where one person is responsible for 30 at a time. And that person must teach them and try to keep them from touching, sneezing and spitting at each other at the same time. And there will be parents who will send their kids with no mask or hand sanitizer. I can't stand when these non educators talk as if they know what teachers are up against.
Yes, well stated.
Exactly!! Florida’s Governor Care’s less for families or children workers are the economy
!!by going back too soon we. Continue to experience spikes’ in COVID cases
teachers are frontline workers when in classrooms! Too many will become ill
Everyone is safer at home If the government doesn’t want to fund schools fine then pay workers monthly UBI it is best until this... deadly Global pandemic has cures, vaccines or subsides fully BTW caring for your child especially now is a blessing to experience soak up this time enter a home school phase enjoy ...
love it
Meghan accuses Joy of being very aggressive? Give me a break.
It's a distraction tactic. Nothing more.
You know you have Megan cornered when she her only response is “I’m the only republican on this show, your attacking me.”
I agree Joy! Hilary Clinton would not have allowed this to happen!
Kjell I didn’t vote for Clinton but believe she would have listened to Scientists period Trump is a disgrace period
Lmao! There’d be even more dead. Called Killary for a reason
Heather Weigandt all the scientists are saying open up schools because over 30 countries have already done it and not one case of kids spreading to kids or adults. Only person who saying no is Dr. Fauci who will make millions off of the vaccine.
Keisha Sharp my, you are stupid aren’t you. Dr. Fauci won’t make millions off a vaccine. That’s not how it works. You may go back to drooling now.
Keisha Sharp lol are you dumb? Look at the numbers in other countries before comparing. The world is looking at the US and are simultaneously horrified for your death count and dumbfounded by the stupidity of those in charge
Why does Meghan McCain make everything about her oh, she's not even a mother yet Lord help her child. Every time someone said something about Republican she takes the battle for all of them clearly she has a guilty conscience clearly.
Meghan kid is going to be a liberal after hearing his mother talk this way on a daily basis!
@@calm1047 God I hope so!!
“I know - she sucks!” Hahahaha so true but Joy cracks me up 😂😂
As a kinder teacher I shake when watching this but that made me laugh! Yes, children's mental health is VERY important. They won't be able to play games with each other, no learning games NO SINGING. This is NOT going to help their mental health at all. How can I keep my KINDERS SAFE!? How can I get them to come to me with a mask on and peel them from their parents staying 6 FEET apart!?! How can I keep 24 kids 6 feet APART and learning with masks in a room that is already way too small!?! She keeps saying they HAVE to go back to school but she has NO recommendations on HOW. A teacher DIED in California... ALL three teachers were wearing masks, socially distant and they all got Covid.
How about Betsy and the man in the white house send their children/grandchildren back to school first and then we will see how it goes.
It's not about communication Meghan, it's about having a plan to protect the children who are going to school!!!!
Betsy DeVos: perfect example that money and private schools do not produce an intelligent person.
Did Meghan seriously quote Desantis? Bad timing for that one.
As someone who barely survived the Miami public schools when Jeb Bush was governor and whose parents are suffering through Ron Desantis I must agree!
As a natural born & current residence of Florida, I agree!
Watching that Governor has been a joke.
Fake rage. Go to tactic. 😂 She did not realize she sited someone who perfectly reflects that.
My 8 year turned his mask into a slingshot within 3 minutes of having it on the first time!
Funny 🤣 but not😥....inclusively.
LOL! THAT'S HILARIOUS!
Sunny’s face is hilarious when Meghan and Joy are arguing
Questions for School Openings:
• If a teacher tests positive for COVID-19 are they required to quarantine for 2-3 weeks?
About 16% of the total deaths in the US are people between the ages of 45-65.
The State is choosing to put our children, families and teachers in danger.
Please share by copying and pasting. Thanks Brenda Bernal and Ismael Rodriguez Ayala for sharing these important questions that need to be answered directly by state and school officials.
"I'm annoyed coming on this show day after day as the only Republican...."
Get some new material
That's not quite what she said. She was standing her ground.
Why don't she just quit? I'm annoyed seeing her complain all the time
Robert D standing her ground how? she had no rebuttal for joys point then proceeded to gaslight by saying everyday blah blah 😳
I am so sick of Megan of course she agrees with the rest of the Republicans because her child doesn’t have to go to public school or daycare!!! Megan needs to shut up!!! Until she puts her baby in a public daycare (not a nanny) or a public school she needs to be quiet!!!!!
I just thought the exact same thing. She needs new material.
It’s ironic that Meghan dissed Betsy Devos’s media skills when her father’s campaign team brought upon us Sarah Palin...who had just as disastrous media skills
gotta give Sunny with the face. It ain't easy pull that face when Meagain and Joy arguing.
Joy is so good a lot of times.
She always does that face when Meghan digs her own grave and joy is there to put her in her place
She probably muted them.
A choice each family should be able to make for themselves. I'd prefer a flexible plan depending on our location that allows for in person and online classes being interchangeable
Kids are not going to social distancing
Kids aren't wired to "social distance" the first thing me and MANY of my friends did on the first day was share hugs and laughs on a social setting. Humans aren't wired that way, but it seems some of us seem to understand the importance. Kids just aren't wired to understand that they can't be "social"
6:11 Joy: "I was a teacher, I know what I'm talking about, okay Meghan?"
“This is really serious Joy” You’re right Meghan so maybe kids SHOULDN’T go back to school if it’s sooooo serious to you.
They see the working class, essential workers as their expendable slaves.
"If we can have people at Walmart, then we can have people in schools"
Oh, I didn't know people sit in a small room in Walmart for hours in a day.
Theyre called managers🤣
Right I go to the store buy what's on my list and am out in 30 minutes or less.
Meghan's only concern is that Betsy is not "a better BS artist"...
When DeVos says it’s safe to send kids back to school, it is definitely not safe to send kids back to school.
I always enjoy your comments!
Exactly, you immediately know to do the opposite.
For real !!!! Do as she does not say.
I personally don’t think schools shouldn’t open unless numbers drop *but* with that being said, won’t we have the same issue then at daycares? So how do we solve this issue?
Sunny is always a mood when Meghan is talking 🤣🤣🤣
Lol when Joy put her hands up like “if the shoe fits, wear it”
100% agree with Megan - let’s have productive conversations and avoid statements that immediately shuts them down.
Joy just ATE her up with the FACTS.
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 JOY CAME TO SLAYYYYY
They both have a point in a small way meaning the 1 at the bottom but Joy is who I'm leaning more towards. For obvious reasons, she worked as a Teacher so that's 1st hand knowledge.
@@queensamara5898 exactly
"Betsy DeVos needs major media training if she's going to have a job like this." 3-1/2 years into the term, right.
"The kids MUST go back to school" instead of "we have to work together to protect our kids".
Whoopie is me when my two friends are arguing lol.
Why is it everytime a conservative finds their party is to be blamed for one thing or anther, they become very inclusive. Both sides.
What even I can not do, is bring them back from the dead, or cure the illness of covid-19 🤷♂️~ . . . [thanks] 😌
( all of this feels a lot like "TRUMP COLLEGE") Remember Trump had to give back $25,000,000.00 for his fake college. But Trump can not give you back your kids, once gone~ 🙊🙈🙉 ~ ... bows 🙏
Is it just me or is Meghan becoming radicalized towards socialism lol
Rawb So, you admit it is a fringe movement.
My god I didn’t realize how spot on Kate McKinnon’s impression was until I seen this small clip. 🤣🤣😭😭
Wow Meghan, the Desantis quote? What person stays at Walmart for 8hours. It’s not the same as being in a classroom all day with super spreaders!
Megan, if you don't like what your party is doing, then change it. But Joy is calling it as she sees it. Which is pretty accurate.
#SaveAmerica #Votebluenomatterwho
i also wear swimming googles to grocery stores. sounds crazy, but it's probably especially important for children to do that.
There is no safe environment for kids to be mingling with other kids at school. Too risky. Not my kids, thank you very much.
That’s because they don’t have a plan.
0:40 Sooo... Education is more important than these childrens lives??!??!!!?? 1:39 💁♀️tell them 5:05 exactly!
Like the way Sonny just watches Meghan and Joy argue and doesn’t feel bothered 😂
Sounds like Sonny and Meghan have become tight. Wow, WTF Sunny?
Lekan- me too.
I'm disgusted with the self-righteous attitude of Meghan.
Tell betsy devos send her grandchildren to the public schools.
She's out of her mind!! No way would i put my child in danger!! Will she send her Grandchildren to school?
Have y'all forgotten the Devos Confirmation hearings? Let me Remind you!
ruclips.net/video/Mc2n9uacQq4/видео.html
Get Megan in check! Joy knows what's she talking about; Every school District should have a plan and parents need to have one as well
They can’t even keep their own staff safe at these BS rallies he’s forcing all over the country 🙄 I hate it here smh
Dan Wruck
Oh wasn’t that cute.
That crown 👑 is really beautiful woopie 🙌🏾
Government buildings have to be closed but we're going to send our kids back to school.
All i want 2 say is that they dont really care about us
Don't worry what people say. We know the truth.
Please Meghan if it's so exhausting, just go on permanent leave. Give the rest of us a break.
Meghan doesn't want anybody to say anything about Republicans but shes ok with talking against Democrats when she has the chance.
She secretly votes for trump. Even she has said if it was any other person than trump doing his policy, she would vote for him because she loves the policy. And she said he gave the best speech ever at his inauguration, but hated it because it was trump.
She is a conservative and will absolutely not vote Biden. 😂
All Republicans and conservatives will vote trump no matter what now because of Biden's policies and stance with AOC and beto at his side, even independents will cringe when they vote trump, but anything is better than Biden...
I love how Whoopi wears a crown and nobody questions it. :(
Quoting DeSantis, 🙄. Unbelievable.
I said the same thing g
The look on Sunny Face 😂😂😂she just sipping on her tea 🍵 Megan doesn’t have a chance
This administration is so dangerous. I can’t believe I am seeing this🤦🏻♀️
Yes it’s so sickening
Gotta love Joy. She's such a joy 😂
I see Meghan is shifting now talking about "Vote Them All Out!!!"lmao 🤣😂🤣
🤔 You dont say....
Im sorry Meghan but which party holds the senate and the presidency right now?
They want kids, educators, and staff to go back, but no plan to go back. I'm all for schools to be reopened, but I'm not comfortable sending people to school without a plan.
Definition of an Oxymoron, Education-Betsy DeVos
Sigh, working parents were already screwed Megan. The pandemic has made things exponentially worse.
Ana Navarro, please, for the love of God!
At the very end what joy was trying to say about “if Hilary Clinton was president” hit home. Say what you want about her but if she was president we would be a lot more organized.
I love how people who know nothing about education have opinions about education today in this age.
LOL the arguing kills me every time.
DeVos paid for her position. Didn't answer the questions about a safety plan on how to open schools safely. She's a disaster.
..... since Day One.
Should have seen her on Fox News. Even Fox news said that she wrong for taking away funding from schools that wont reopen.
The problem is Meghan if that child brings it back to the mother and she’s sick who’s going to care for the kids and pay the bills for single parents
Yes Joy 🙌🏼
Oh dear Meghan, it's really SO hard to be confronted with your party's own policy *LMAO*
Before I watched this... How did I know Meghan was going to be pissy with Joy?
I live in Charleston SC and the toll is really high, my children will be using the virtual schooling
Why Betsy Devos always have those crazy eyes when doing an interview ?
Because shes really a man.
It's a permanent feature. Just like her perma-grin.
I think we all agree that Megan is the aggressive one here lol
Her eyes are so wide! Looks like she's saying, "Help me! This crack isn't working anymore!" 😳
People cite needing to work as issues, but there are job opportunities sprouting up everywhere for remote work and flexible hours. Maybe you could apply to do temp work in CA for NY or vice versa, that way you could work while you kids sleep. It's not perfect, but remote work is an incredible gift right now.
If Meghan doesn’t like other people’s opinions, she can go to back to FOX News
