This tutorial literally fixed my screen tearing AND input lag simultaneously. I thought I would have to enable VSync to fix screen tearing at the cost of input lag but just specifically choosing “let me pick from a list of available drivers” rather than browsing or automatically searching for it on my computer updated it and fixed everything. I’m on Windows 11 too with an NVIDIA card so I am very grateful. Thank you so much!
Yep. Litteraly did the same. That's crazy because I tried updating my drivers directly from my graphics software (AMD Adrenalin) and it did not fix it.
Im late but i was getting really bad distortion & turning to black and coming back on...my temps on cpu and gpu were good...when i click display adapters i had 2 Nvidia drivers from different dates ( 1 old,1 new ) i selected the newest version,it did its thing and success i booted the same game up and played a whole match...flickering seems to have stopped ( newly built only turned it on today )
3 years after this video has been released and still works today. Tried playing Persona 3 Reload on my tv from my pc and there were constant screen tearing issues. This simple fix solved all of that! Thank you!

Can you tell me what this is actually doing when you update the driver and select it manually from your computer? The driver on your computer should be the driver it's currently using. So aren't you just reinstalling the same driver? I mean, unless you're using the Microsoft basic display adapter, which no one should be using with a graphics card. Most people should already have the NVIDIA driver installed, and if it's not, it won't show up on that list. So what exactly is this doing?

It says my driver has a problem and now I my laptop icons are bigger. It has nothing to do with the small, medium and large icons selection you can make by right clicking the desktop. Also, I can't change my brightness anymore. Please help me😭😭 Edit: I have fixed it

Nope. Still having this issue playing diablo 2 lord of destruction. There are TONS of people that are having this issue. THe ONLY solution I have found is playing it in windowed mode but I FRACKING HATE playing in windowed mode. There has GOT to be a solution for playing in full screen. Drivers are updated, everything is updated. I have been googling this and researching this since last night... well over 5 hours of research done and NOTHING has been able to fix this. sighs. I'm playing on a brand new Acer Nitro 5, 16 gb ram, I have even gone into the NVIDIA card settings and omg, I'm pulling my hair out. This funny thing is that it was working aboslutely FINE last night. NOw? Nope. It just won't stop flickering. I guess I am doomed to either deal with the flickering screen in or play in this AWFUL windowed mode. This sucks.

Well, If I had an issue with flickering on 1 screen, this would've helped big time (as I was having that issue...AMD PRO Edition, switched from Adrenaline Edition)... But my problem is that I use two screens, which have different aspects (Both are TVs, but one is UHD set to 4k, while the other is same manu., but smaller, and is 2k.) The smaller one never flickers....it's the main screen. If I turn off the second screen, I don't have the problem...but I'm a content creator, and I use both screens constantly. Recently, I had tried a technique that worked (turned off "windows problem reporting service" and "problem reports and solutions." Both were fine up to today, yet now it's back to flickering again. I've not installed anything, nor changed anything. I had re-opened Unreal Engine 4.27, which was working fine. I don't know what to do. I am scaled back to using one screen, if I don't want the annoyance of the flickering...BUT, you pay all that money for a good video card and the ability to use multi screens, and this is what I get?? Can you help me manage this??

I have some weird problem with the monitor basically everytime i restart or reboot the pc it goes to washed out picture. When i restart the monitor, change random monitor setting or screen goes to sleep mode, then it display the correct picture until i close the pc.

Run a unigine benchmark to isolate any problems.

just updated my drivers for 6600xt to play warzone 2.0 and my screens were flickering. this fix helped me to resolve the problem. thank you

The flickering is on the monitor, not in the actual video. If you cold have moved the video, the flickering wouldn't follow.

Hii, whenever I play a video on fullscreen, it starts to flicker in every 2-3 seconds. I am on windows11 and pc is also new and works in a good condition. I have tried every method (from the other youtube videos also) but unable to solve this problem. Please help.
Ok so I did this, and it fixed the flickering, but for whatever reason, the audio now only comes out of my pc? Like when I try to change the source of audio from speakers/headphones to AAA(display audio) it’s just stuck in speaker/headphone audio. Like I can’t change it to get it to come out of my monitor
when i launch valorant league of legends call of duty warzone 2.0 my screen keeps flickering to black then it goes normal sometimes it stays black for a really long time. what could be the issue. all my drivers are up to date. also when i launch these games i suddenly here the gpu going super loud then quieting down. could my gpu be damaged or am i doing something wrong?
