I noticed that as well. If the ship is off the pad, floating in zero-g, the particles do disperse in a more believable way, but since it was on a pad, it used the gravity version of the animation. It'd be cool to see the particles disperse appropriately to that specific scenario. This game has bigger fish to fry at the moment lol.

The explosion animation doesn't accurately reflect a zero-gravity environment. The particles should not fall downward as they do.
