The employees are millionaires, but they cant leave YET. There's a time period put in place until they can vest their stocks/options.
Fun fact, same thing happened to Microsoft in the late 90s/early 2000s. The company valuation skyrocked, which made a bunch of senior staff at Microsoft went into retirement early. One of the reasons why early 2000s Microsoft products were so bad.
I've owned NVDA for over 8 years. It's been up and down, but I believe in Jensen Huang and will stick with NVDA until Jensen says otherwise. I know that sounds crazy, but when the financial statements/Jensen, (same to me) tell me to sell, I will. I'm sure I won't sell at the top, but that's OK.
Kept $105k in CIT Bank HYSA at 5.05% but i now plan to invest in the stock market. What are your thoughts on that? What stocks should I look out for as a newbie to safely grow my money?
Apt!! I was self-managing my portfolio but suffered heavy losses in 2022 and i knew i couldn't continue like that, so i consulted a fiduciary advisor. By restructuring and diversifying my $1.2M portfolio with dividend-paying stocks, ETFs, Mutual funds and REITs, I significantly boosted my portfolio, achieving an annualized gain of 28%.
I regret selling stocks 2021 and my strategy ever since has been pretty much buying Gold and silver to protect my wealth but if I could come up with a way to profit from this bull run, that would be brilliant. I've missed so much already. can you share more info?

Thats actually scary how much power they have. And we cant even comprehend how much how much money they actually have. Its frightening and fascinating at the same time.
Just because someone or something is more powerful doesn't mean it's bad. And this is further exaggerated by social media and internet and news which only highlight the "bad" powerful groups, not the "good" powerful groups.
Whenever someone does a charity or donation or infrastructure renewal or societal contribution or anything, you won't even know 90% of the time... But the INSTANT someone powerful is involved in a scandal, crime, etc etc, the ENTIRE world will know.
They don't have a lot of money. They're wildly overvalued on the stock market because "AI".
Nvidia has a PE ratio of 70 but a market cap of 3T so it is actually worth 42B but a sensible multiplier would be 420B for a PE ratio of 10. Unlike Microsoft where everything they make is a service, nvidia relies on hardware too, hardware that is extremely complicated, expensive and prone to failure (due to complexity) so nvidia has no business being anywhere close to 3T. Just wall street deciding that's the company of 2024.

The #1 reason, and its not close, is the CUDA architecture. That and DLSS are two HUGE arguments for AI being an actual benefit.
Their investment into AI really paid off big time to put them at the forefront. It's quite unbelievable that they now outrank giants like Microsoft and Apple in terms of value.

I feel like we're in a battle of the buzzwords right now for investors "AI", "GPT", "-as a service", "cloud", "generation", "blockchain", it seems you pack your investor presentation with as many of these types of words and phrases as you can and the share price goes up, regardless of actual value generated for consumers and interest in the underlying product.
