This is fantastic!! If John, George and Sir George Martin were still alive... The Beatles would have a reunion concert were they would perform all of their masterpieces with one of the best orchestras in the world, where Sir George Martin would be conducting or producing the event.Televised across the world from Liverpool, England; as a celebration of their musical achievements to humanity. What an event that would've been! Thank You...!
Thank you! On the original Beatles recording, Paul McCartney played the famous flute-like intro on a Mellotron, one of the early ancestors of modern sampler keyboards. Meanwhile, John Lennon played the psychedelic mellotron part during the song's fade-out. Our keyboardists were simply recreating the Mellotron parts from the original. The Mellotron has a sound all its own, so something would be lost if we were to substitute real flutes.
I never thought such as simply instrument could have so much impact in a song. That funny looking harp! It demanded to be there. Without IT, the whole song is crippled.
SFF is such an amazing achievement in recorded music history and you have captured it brilliantly in a live setting. Having a little bit of an idea of what exactly the Beatles did for the roughly 45 hours of recordings and countless demos and versions to come up with that masterpiece I have an enormous amount of respect for everyone involved in arranging and playing this live. The masterful splice - the one where the band changes over to the orchestra mid word "going" (Beatle fans know exactly what I'm talking about) - is timed perfectly here. How many hours of practice did you all have? The Beatles themselves, as brilliant as they were, had no intention of ever playing this song live in a million years. My hat is off to you all! Well done!!
Una gran ejecución casi exacta! fiel a todos los sonidos, tiempo, tonos... lástima de la batería que queda a deber; aunque no sería posible igualar el increíble trabajo que hizo Ringo.
In all the songs i herd in my life, this is MY song...#1 and every body knows that around. And i'm satified you done it so good! Je francaise canadienne excusez mon anglais écrit.
Absolutely brilliant. I close my eyes and the Beatles are playing in front of me. All live, no multi tracking. Just brilliant. Would love to go to one of their live concerts.
The entire band were fabulous. They nailed it . Sounded much like the Beatles doing it.
Thank you Joe!
Lennon-McCartney best couple of composers in Rock story !
Lennon, McCartney, and Martin.
We are still playing Bach in 300 years we'll still be playing the Beatles.
Yep ! We sure will be !
With an orchestra like that they should be playing a day in the life
We do... the video for "A Day in the Life" is also here.
He even sounds like a young Jon, wow. Im pretty sure I would start crying watching this live
For a live performance, The exquisite precision & detail of the original studio recording, which must have taken ages to mix & complete is brilliant.

I never thought such as simply instrument could have so much impact in a song. That funny looking harp! It demanded to be there. Without IT, the whole song is crippled.
+Javier Gonzalez Thank you, Javier! It's a svaramandal, which is very similar to a zither.
What's the difference? Looks zithery to me.
The svaramandal was on the original recording. I was indeed playing a zither on this video.
Even the postlude? You gotta be kidding me. Amazed.

The guy with the miniature maracas...I can hear them all thru the song.
Gran temaso de Los Betles, excelente interpretación, saludos desde El Salvador.
The Beatles did for Pop music what Gutenberg did for book publishing. Suddenly, everyone simply HAD to get a copy. And they did. Thank~You, Jariel.
