One cool thing about localization is that they change the lines slightly to better fit the language. In Korean, Cait asks "Why did you stop me?" instead of stating "You stopped me". And Vi replies "You shouldn't have done something to warrant it" instead of "I shouldn't have had to". Curious how other languages modified their lines.
In German, Cait also states "You stopped me" like in the eng dub but Vi replies: "You would've shoot her" (the child) to which Cait pretty bluntly says "I could've killed her" (Jinx) instead of the more vague "I had the shot" of the og english dub

chinese, are ALWAYS bad language for dubbing. the emotions are not clear. we always heard them like angry. the language is harsh and fast. even german, another harsh language, has more emotions in it. chinese... it's pure angry language.

I think it's bc our emotions are conveyed very differently from the Germanic cultures, so they cannot be properly translated to one another. To clarify, there are words that mean the same thing, but the contexts for those are very different in English and Chinese, so the emotions can only be felt by a speaker of the language (English or Chinese) not through translations.

I find it so hard this season to choose what dub I should watch Arcane in (English or Italian) and I gotta say, the Italian voices knocked it out of the park! They convey so much emotion

They are very attentive to the subtleties and phrasing over every sound they make, including the crying and panting of Vi, which a lot of the other languages just use the original English version. Caitlyn tends to sound good in most of the languages, but the Vi not so much in others.

Brazilian here 🇧🇷, and i absolutely LOVE the brazilian dubbing in Arcane, it's by far one of my favorites in terms of quality, Caitlyn is voiced by Carina Eiras, who like you pointed it out she does have a much deeper voice which i think fits perfectly with Cait, especially in this season, giving her a much 'mature' feeling. And Vi is voiced by Tati Keplmair (fun fact! She's the voice of Nami in One Piece, both anime and live action, and Hanna Montana!) who in my opinion is one of the best voice actors we have right now! Amazing video btw! 👏🏻
Português Brasileiro claro, and of course- GERMAN, because Vi sounds more manlier then Japanese Dub in my opinion. Italian is a little on the lower side compared to Spain's Royal Spanish.

My country pulled through for once lmao I also liked how they changed "I shouldn't have had to (stop you)" to "Du hättest auf sie geschossen" whichs translates to "You would have shot her", 'her' being Isha, implying Vi is confronting Caitlyn with the fact, that she would have killed a child if it meant killing Jinx, which highlights this angle better than in the original imo.

@ you can try using a VPN then change your location to Hong Kong because that’s where I live! I’m using a Mac and the best free VPN I’ve found is urban VPN on the app store. On Windows, there should be even more options!
why are spanish dubs so bad?? My sister doesn’t speak English, so we watch a lot of shows in Latin American Spanish because Spanish (Spain) dubs are insufferable. They take all the emotion out the scene, it’s always the same voices
