Cinematic Christmas New York | Canon M50 + Zhiyun Weebill Lab

- Back in New York during Holiday Season. Never experienced the city during Christmas or winter. Took the opportunity to test out some new gear: the Zhiyun Weebill Lab and the Sigma Art 18-35 F1.8.
Video after video, I try to get away from the typical Travel Video and get something more cinematic. Also, first attempt to Hyperlapse, definitely something I'll experiment in the future.

I've been around the world and back and I can happily say, New York is worth the hype. It's a city that scrapes, and thrives, and carves out a living for itself come rain, come shine. I see why it's inspired the countless movies that it has and your videos reminded me of that.

Bro this was amazing. I have an m50 that I'm totally lost using, but I have a semi clear idea of what I want my shots to look like. This video is such a brilliant example of techniques that I want to learn. You deserve way more subs. When I get my gimbal I'll definitely be using this video as a reference.

I've had my M50 for about 3 days and I have non-stop watched tutorials, cinematic footage - even montages taken on much better cameras by big youtube hitters... Your NY video is by far the best I have seen

It’s not 4K 🤷🏻♂️ it’s just 1080p 24/60 fps with the right exports.

I should give you a little additional info: you can mount the m50 on the weebill, and balance it, it works perfectly fine. The only tiny issue is that you have no external controls. The firmware of the weebill isn’t updated for a while now and still doesn’t support the M50. But if you don’t need the external controls, it’s an amazing compact little combo. Really love it!

Yep, everything done with the M50...
I plan for 2020 to release some videos about the M50 and especially timelapse/hyper lapse techniques with it...had not much time this year to be serious with the channel but 2020 seems like a great number to start being serious. Thanks for your kind words and for watching ! Happy holidays!

Great video well done. I was actually searching Weebill Lab and Canon RP and your video came up in the search. I love the design of the lab because I travel with my job. The SC looks tempting to.
Both have pro’s and Con’s. The weebill will be a bit tricky with the RP because of the eyepiece...maybe with counterweights... on the other hand, the SC has no underslung mode and a lower payload...I’ll still go with the weebil, because I find it easier to put in the bag and travel with.

@@Tvennet ohh right thanks - I've seen the RP with the the 35mm RF in underslung on the Lab. I can't find the video now, the user had no trouble balancing it - I think he said it was a ideal combination because the lens was lightweight and compact.

Yes but not using luts.
I colorgrade each clip one at a time and try to match it all together. I takes time but I prefer it that way…

Man, such a comment means soooo much to me you can’t imagine! I didn’t do the hyper lapse in camera, I used another technique using the gimbal and tweaking speed. Not totally proud of the result so I’ll be practicing a bit more soon. And hope to finally release all the videos I’ve planned.
