I just received the 32 oz bottle and cup and was looking on ebay for the stove stand the only ones im seeing are the 64 oz ones are the the same thing like in size as the 32 oz?
nice presentation thankyou .. if you havent seen already you can use a couple of bandanas or shenagh used for extra padding wrapped correctly with the shoulder strap .. im.pretty sure the utuber was corporals corner where i seen it
The canteen set is based on the 1910 military canteen. Those are designed for the Esbit stove and open fire (that's why it has three contact points). You can place it on any folding stove that uses fuel tablets. PS the original canteen set replica is cheaper to buy but tougher to clean.
G-day Charmaine ☺ thanks for a look at that compact cook kit, looks like good quality gear, it would be interesting to see what else you could squeeze into it, I will take a look at your other videos, always ready to pick up different ideas, thanks for the video, stay safe girl, best wishe's to you and your's, Stuart uk.
How are you finding the caribee ranger backpack? Does it have enough space for all your bushcraft / hiking needs? Was thinking of getting one also in combination with the pathfinder set. I already have the combat 32 but I’m finding it a bit too Bulky. Would you recommend switching?
Well I'm in the US watching this in 2023, ordered the " Kit " which only comes with the three containers, anyone know where I can find the other items? Great gear... I guess I might have to assemble it piece-by-piece with the other stuff
Thanks for the review Charmaine C. Just a quick question about the stainless bits… Does the cup lid nest at the bottom of the stove and then the cup on top or is the lid too large of a diameter to fit in the stove?
Thanks for the review. I’m keen on one of these and have been looking for suggestions as to best gas stove to use. How is the pocket rocket performing?
I absolutely love it, no regrets with this stove purchase. Has quick boiling time, simmer control, small packability, lightweight and versatility with what pans can go on it 🥣
Depends how the size and quantity of the sticks you are using to keep the fire burning, for me I once used only little twigs so it took ages nearly 25 min!
Ive got diabetes, I prefer the 64 oz bottle and 48 oz cup , ive got a achol stove , and everything else the 32 oz set has in a gen 3 bottle bag . Bought the children and grandson a 32 oz set , love my 48 oz cup , like a baby bush pot ! Ive bought some black bags they seem bigger than the coyote color
The only thing I don't like about the water bottle is the plastic lid. Which means you can put it in a fire to boil water, but you have to make sure the fire doesn't melt the lid. But that's really my only gripe. Why they didn't make the lid metal, is beyond me.
I have a video on how to make the fire disks on my channel, its a short easy video, i have a set up i moded just like this set tho its not the pathfinder set, dave really did an excellent job for the price great quality gear. The bag looks excellent.
If you're going to chuck the stove onto the fire, then what is the point of using the stove in the first place (other than added stability)? You can use the bottle and cup in the fire directly Asking seriously btw, not being sarcastic
My two reasons are cause of what you said stability and also last time I chucked the cup straight in the fire, I’m not sure why (this could just be my exp) but the wood left a sticky residue on my cup that took like 3 business days to wash off 😅 after that I wasn’t keen to try again
Your sound on this is terrible i canbarely hear what you're saying you need to get an external microphone to hook to your camera or phone or whatever you're using cuz the sound is terrible
Good to find an Aussie channel reviewing this gear, keep it up :-) Edit... P.S. good tip about using as a hot water bottle.
glad you liked it 🙏🏼
The half moon shaped scraper is for fluffing up tinder wicks, tho it can be used for scraping in general.
Good job Charmaine, straight forward review. Its a good bit of kit to have because it just works.
Thank you Scott
Believe it might be a second striking area curves around the rod
This edge is for fire starting. In theory it was designed to help pre-srape, but in fact its the mose efficient point for normal sparking.

Thanks for the pad/wax tip! Wife will be missing some makeup removal pads soon!
Just ordered mine. Excellent review. Everythiing i needed to know. And very practical demonstration for use, and packing the bag. Subscribed. 👍🏻
I was using the half moon end to strike the ferro rod like a fool. After watching this realised it’s better to use the side bit like you.
I did that as well for a bit too 😅
Awesome review!
its exactly what i needed to pull the trigger on the ol add to cart button
Great review. I have several of these kits for different applications. They're worth the money. I subscribed too. Great job.

I Love To Have That For Myself. I Would Buy Three Sets Of Cookware Sets.

You can scrape fatwood into shavings with the end of the striker

I’ll make a vid on it real soon 😁
@@rusticcharnanigan excellent! I’m looking forward to hearing your thoughts
Nice review and explanation… much appreciated
Will that fuel cannister fit in the cup?
Good review.
the curved part on the striker is for wood shavelings

it should come with the spreader, utensils and a ferro rod/striker.. mine did and the site says and shows it. oh and yes the fire starter disc's.
I'm feeling like knowing what crushed ants smells like is maybe an Aussie thing?
😂😂 It’s a national struggle

Just checked. The lid does not nest in the stove it’s too big unfortunately 😬
@@rusticcharnanigan Thanks for your help Charmaine 👍

Good!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
do those things burn long enough to bring a boil?
