    It's also important to note that the cholera outbreak was due to UN peacekeepers being carriers and the people of Haiti having no immunity to it. This is why you vaccinate when going to foreign lands.

    Confused here....how does it require salt if it can be found plenty of times in freshwater?
    edit: turns out it CAN grow in freshwater....should be noted in this video. Also is the only vibrio species that can grow without salt

    6:03 - does H. pylori then increase the risk for cholera?

      Yes,conditions such as chronic use of anti acids, histamine receptor blockers, gastrectomy and chronic gastritis induced by H.pylori predisposes one to cholera
