  • France to Acquire Additional $115 Million New Rafale Fighter Jets
The Rafale is a twin-engine multi-role fighter aircraft with advanced attack-navigation systems, the latest-generation radar with high sensor and self-defense system integration, and the ability to use a wide range of weapons, making it one of the best multi-role fighter aircraft available today. The Rafale is intended to perform air supremacy, interdiction, aerial reconnaissance, ground support, in-depth strike, anti-ship strike and nuclear deterrence missions. The Rafale is referred to as an "omnirole" aircraft by Dassault.

It's a great plane, but F-16s with pods are a better option. And people need to realize that Rafale can only do 9 g's without drop tanks and weapons, while the F-35 can do 9 g's with full fuel and armament. So it's far from the best dogfighter even if it ever got close enough to try.

You are right but it is not the same generation and the Rafale is much older than the F-35.
