Just got mine. Love them
I love cowboy boots and I'd wear them more often if they didn't hurt my knees. Sadly, I won't be adding to my three pairs because Tecovas are a nice quality boot for a reasonable price.
On a "strange but true" topic...my wife has a BFF and her dad passed-away three years ago. He had a stellar collection of cowboy hats and boots--many of them from the '60s and '70s that were perfectly care for and stored in the original boxes. They don't fit her husband or any of his boys, but the hats fit me perfectly so I come home with three: excellent quality 10X (back when 10X was the pinnacle of hat materials) black and grey Stetson's, and a very nice white straw hat from Rodeo King.
She wouldn't part with her father's favorite hat (the one he wore the most) which was from a company called Scott Colburn that was printed under the brim. When I looked up the maker, it turned out they are a Boots and Western Wear store in Livonia Michigan. Prior to moving to the Livonia store in 1978, they were down the road a few miles in Farmington during the 50s, 60s and 70s. I used to ride my bike by their Farmington store as an early teen, and later drive my car pas their Livonia store from time-to-time. Small World.
The hat is from the 60s or 70s has their Farmington MI location on the inside of the hat, and it's in in excellent condition and a really nice quality hat. Obviously, it's a store label since they don't make their own merchandise, so I'm going to take the hat back to Michigan when I visit next month. The store is still family owned Scott Colburn's daughter has been running the store since her father's passing 20+ years ago. I'm hoping to find-out a little more about the lineage like when it was purchased and who made this particular hat. Offhand, I would not be surprised to discover it was made the likes of a Stetson or Resistol because it really is a very fine hat to be in such great shape after half a Century. Cheers!
