And these are very German all over the world (Christmas trees, Christmas ornaments, 24th/25th as the main gift giving day (at least in German/English-speaking countries), Christmas carols like Silent Night or Oh Christmas Tree ...). By the way. Because of the origin of these products, I would use the term Christmas ornaments and not christmas baubles. And in order to avoid any discussion at all, one could speak of the subcategories such as balls, bells, cones and whatever else someone wants to hang on the tree ;D
Gave my husband a lump of coal for one of his gifts as a joke and he didnt get it. Apparently in Guatemala they dont celebrate that tradition...it was awkward to say the lease.

Mom would always put the queens speech on and yessss Christmas #1!.....also the Christmas telly guide. Miss all that! Oh well. We have made many new American traditions now!
I usually thought that puting an angel on a tree was a catholic tradition since my family is catholic and that is what we do. Also, I once went to a friend's house for christmas one time and they had a star on theirs. As for the pajamas, my great aunt has had her grandchildren (not including me, my siblings and a few of my cousins because we were too old) do them everytime we go to her house for christmas.
